Bonus points for bloat, blump, bump pics 😊 Weeks pregnant: 18 Baby is the size of a: sweet potato/artichoke FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: Finding out Wednesday! Appointments: A/S on Wednesday 😆 Symptoms: RLP, sore nipples, weird dreams. Overall feeling pretty good though! Enjoying this 2nd trimester energy. Milestones: Feeling baby kick/move around on the outside more. LO was moving all around for a good 2-3 minutes yesterday and MH felt him/her for the second time. Rants/Raves/Vents: This weeks anatomy scan can’t come quick enough! I’ve been so excited to see LO and hope it goes well and baby cooperates so we can finally find out if LO is a he or she! GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? We’d start by paying off our house, credit card debt and student loans. Then we’d pay off MHs business debt and trade in one of our vehicles. Start a college fund for DD as well as a retirement fund. Then put some in savings and likely invest a little bit. A girl can dream. Bump!

Weeks pregnant: 17w6d
Baby is the size of a: Pear
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: A/S in a week!
Symptoms: I'm feeling pretty good. My hip has been hurting when I walk too much.
Milestones: A yoga teacher assumed I was pregnant without me telling her. First person to come out and say something!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Still so tired. I'm guessing there will be no "2nd tri burst of energy" for me.
GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? Quit my job... and keep the nanny.

Symptoms: heartburn allll the time!!
Milestones: I’m halfway done in 2 days!

Weeks pregnant: 16+4
Baby is the size of a: avocado (this week), soda can (today)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: secret
Appointments: GI dr today, looking forward to discussing delivery risks and options with him (because of Crohn's)
Symptoms: Less tired but still so tired! Rarer waves of nausea. Getting extremely hungry!! Basically adding in an additional meal each day. Weight gain still under 3 pounds, but just this week I've been up to cooking again, so I think there will be more delicious and healthy food around to work on that!
Milestones: Good heartbeat at OB last week. DH felt baby clearly a couple days ago, right after I felt two strong thumps. But compared to a pretty regular stream of flutters over the last few weeks, now I am just getting a rare thump or flip every other day or so.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Gathered a few of my favorite childhood books from my parents' this weekend and started reading aloud to baby. I come from a big reading family and supposedly the baby may be able to start hearing this early, certainly within the next couple weeks. I read that after they're born, babies show preference for stories read aloud that they had read to them in the womb. It feels really fun to imagine that the baby is becoming familiar with the cadences of these stories and it's helping me feel more connected and warm to the baby.
GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? With 10% of it, we could pay off our remaining school and mortgage debt and do all the home updates we were hoping to. The rest, I'd get a good financial planner to help us invest, use half the gains for a more enjoyable family life (travel, cultural experiences, good education for the kid - not interested in a bigger house or better cars, that kind of thing), and half to support the charities we care about most, and then enjoy contemplating what charity(ies) we would give the principal to as an endowment in our estate. If DH had a say, though, I feel like we'd be looking at a bigger house (ours is 850 ft2 lol) and his dream car.

Weeks pregnant: 22-time is starting to fly Baby is the size of a: coconut! 🥥 (what?!) FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: green, but DS1 (3 yo) is pretty adamant it’s a girl, and her name is Penelope 😆-no idea where he heard that name. Except for this weekend he threw a “magic pebble” into a fountain and made a wish for another brother. ❤️🤷🏻♀️ Appointments: not til Oct Symptoms: RLP and moodiness Milestones: DH felt baby for the first time this morning Rants/Raves/Vents: Vent: I have an anterior placenta again 🙄👎 GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? I like to think I’d keep my job, but who knows? We’d pay off debt (car, house, student loans), invest, and buy a beach house for sure 😊. We’d either remodel our house top to bottom or buy a new house.

Weeks pregnant: 21+2 Baby is the size of a: baseball cap/endive FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: Green Appointments: BP check at OB's office tomorrow. I had a little scare last week and I think I may finally be graduating to the high risk category Symptoms: Not a whole lot. Boobs are sore as usual. Had my first bout of heartburn last week but fortunately it hasn't been a regular thing, at least not yet! Mainly tired but that's due to a lot of things, not just pregnancy lol. Baby is moving much more frequently but definitely not palpable from the outside yet. It's a little strange because DH felt our first baby at around 19 weeks but this LO is low and stubborn. Milestones: nothing too noteworthy Rants/Raves/Vents: Rave: My first prenatal yoga class is tonight! Rant: Things are getting progressively worse at work, and with my health issues I'm not sure what's going to happen. GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? You have no idea how much I wish this would really happen. I would quit my job immediately and take some time to really figure out what else I would like to do with my life. In the meantime we would pay off the rest of my student debt, put a big chunk into the college funds, set aside a little bit for a nice family vacation, and then save/invest the rest.

Weeks pregnant: 24+2 Baby is the size of a: eggplant FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: Blue Appointments: I have an appointment Wednesday morning after we get back from our babymoon Symptoms: peeing all the damn time Milestones: the first viability milestone at 24 weeks! I'll really celebrate at 27. Rants/Raves/Vents: we've been on our babymoon since the 8th and leave tomorrow to drive home. We drove to idaho then Jackson Hole, to Yellowstone and we have one day left at Glacier. It's been a great trip so far. GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? Pay our house off and buy a bigger SUV. Plus a shopping spree

Weeks pregnant: 19
Baby is the size of a: Pair of Sunglasses
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: ?
Appointments: Anatomy Scan in 2 hours!
Symptoms: Anxiety, itchy skin and scalp, lots of round ligament pain especially late in the day.
Milestones: People in public have really started to comment.
Rants/Raves/Vents: My life turned upside down with an unexpected opportunity a few weeks ago, and I am just reeling a bit. We might be moving before baby is born, and if not immediately after. I am not going to be able to quit working like I expected. I am really happy about the change and it is one of our long term goals, but I am super stressed about the timing. I also took a good week to cry about not having maternity leave like I expected.
GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? See above! It would be a really good time for an unexpected influx of cash! I could do everything I am going to do anyway, but the pressure to work would be lifted.

dashook, What is going on with work? What do you expect as far as maternity leave goes? I only work part time, but I am going to be continuing to work part time even after the baby is born. I am trying to decide how I want my practice to look and exactly what to do. Anyway, if you want to talk it through here or via PM I am happy to listen.

Baby is the size of a: pomegranate
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: just had one last week, solid heartbeat and status quo.
Symptoms: nothing much of note.
Milestones: another week!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I am starting to go through the boys' things to sell... It's overwhelming!
GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? Finance a bigger house, invest with help from financial advisor. If we aren't being practical I would travel with the family.

k my DS2 decided baby's name should be "Stop Sign" so I think Penelope is an excellent choice in comparison! dashook, sorry things are so rough with work and your health. You seem like a very hard working, responsible and positive person so that tells me they're fools for doing whatever it is they're doing. Hugs, hope it resolves for the best for you soon.

It used to be “camera hammer” so Penelope is a big improvement! 🤣 It just makes me laugh bc I don’t think anyone in his life has that name so I have no idea how he came up with it.

Bonus points for bloat, blump, bump pics 😊 Weeks pregnant: 18+4 Baby is the size of a: croissant FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: Finding out Appointments: first week of October Symptoms: still tired, and starting to get some heartburn Milestones: finally feeling strong movements! I'm pretty sure I was feeling light movements before, but due to location, I kept convincing myself it was gas, not baby Rants/Raves/Vents: I wish my anatomy scan was scheduled sooner -- it isn't until Oct. 11 and I'll be almost 22 weeks. The perinatal center doesn't have a cancellation list, but told me I could call as often as I want to check for cancellations, so I'm trying to figure out the lowest number of times I can call per week and not make them hate me before I ever show up there. ha! GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? hmmm...probably buy a larger house, pay off student loans. DH and I were just joking last night about how we would love to buy some farm land but don't have the funds to do it.(We got a flier in the mail for a piece of property for sale for the bargain price of 1.5 million. That's a bit out of the budget.) So if I could find some kind of investment property, that would be nice.

Weeks pregnant: 18 + 2
Baby is the size of a: Sweet Potato
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: I have my 20-week US with the MFM on 10/3, then an appt. with my OB later that day.
Symptoms: Still recovering from pneumonia…I have had the hardest time eating thanks to the sickness on top of ongoing food aversions. I’m measuring on track, but I already make tiny babies, so I know I need to up my calorie intake in the coming weeks. Otherwise, my sense of smell is on overdrive all of a sudden. And I think I’ve had some BH? I never had any with DS, so this is new.
Milestones: I’ve felt just a few more light pops of movement! Nothing regular yet, but I’m looking forward to more.
Rants/Raves/Vents: DS has started singing and talking to my stomach. He’ll put his face up to my belly button and say, “Baby Ben!! Are you in there???” It’s the cutest.
GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? Pay off my student loans, our cars, and the house that we’re hoping to close on soon. Stick the rest in the highest-yield, low-risk savings possible and save it for modest vacations and the kids’ college funds.

Baby is the size of a:side of guacamole
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Finding Out
Appointments: Anatomy scan in 2.5 weeks with regular appointment
Symptoms: Traded most of my nausea for heartburn, pelvis pressure, sore giant boobs
Milestones: Feeling some movement
Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm really trying to enjoy this pregnancy because it is likely my last but I'm having a hard time with that. I also don't feel very connected to this baby yet which makes me feel guilty.
GTKY: If you received $1,000,000 today what would you do with it? Pay off some debt, travel, put in a swimming pool.

+1 to prenatal yoga being great. I just started it back up at a local studio once a week. I tried doing it once at home with a DVD but ended up lying down and closing my eyes after 15 minutes, and now that I have a toddler, it's not going to happen. I need that protected time.
