Morning all! It's been really busy that last few days; Thursday was a full day with an appointment for J and blood draw for B. I'm happy to report that both appointments were a success and B's iron levels went up by a lot, so I'm thrilled for no more supplements, I'll keep a close watch on him but the numbers were promising, FX it sticks. The weekend just flew by as per, and J was my little sidekick all weekend, including MOTN again, no girl, been there done that, lets move forward now mmmmkay Off to catch up on the weekend thread....

cagoldi How are you doing today? I've read your update and glad that there is a plan in place; and I'm really sorry that work is a stress, please take care of yourself. Thinking of you.

My Aldi’s is closed until November 1. They’re renovating. I’m sad.

I introduced the little potty to Charlie at first, and I really should’ve just stayed with the ring seat and the big potty because now he doesn’t want to give up the small potty. I’m just putting it away tomorrow and starting fresh. He also has a really hard time pulling his underwear down in time. I’m sure it will come with time, but man it’s annoying.

LO gets 1 page of homework a week so far and he does it mostly on his own. This assignment was for me. I told C that I already passed Preschool why am I getting homework.

Hello! We dropped C off at school and grocery shopped and went to boot camp (not super delightful with a 2 year old). Now L is napping while C has rest time. It's hot and I don't feel like playing outside this afternoon...

Sunny41, he’s going to be in there forever. I was having contractions last night every 3 minutes for a few hours but not much pain so DH insisted we went in. I’m definitely having contractions as they were tracking them but baby boy is still up high and I’m not dilated at all.

The school has been asking for updated family pics for over a year from us. Every time we got the memo DH was out of town. I think we might have some recent ones but I still need to get to Walgreens to get them printed

Cadence gets 2 poems every Monday that we keep at home all week. We read over them and do various reading activities with them. Then she gets a homework folder that has 2 worksheets (front and back) that cover the letter of the week and the number of the week.

Hi! tgrimes So sorry the vomit fairy has descended on your household, hope it's short-lived lahdeedah I try and schedule early appts. for that reason--so they ostensibly aren't backed up yet. Super annoying when it happens anyway. slenle Fortunately B has never really been bothered by shots. He did ask me before his last dr.'s appt if he was getting a shot--I do think they become more aware at this age--and I just kept it very matter-of-fact. "Yes, we get them to stay healthy. Everybody does it. The end." In our case anyway, the less of a to-do we make something, I think the more easily our kids just roll with things. Probably helps that our pedi gives out mini ice-pops afterwards

C was fine this morning and I gave him the azithromycin and ibuprofen and brought him to school. As soon as we get there he throws up in their bathroom. I think it was the meds because he is more than fine. Since I had a new person starting today and no one else knows what to do, I brought C to work. We were there for three hours and he had a blast. Then we went to the playground, mall and Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Now he’s playing in his room and hopefully will be napping and later we are going to my parents. I was super stressed about today at work and obviously things didn’t go as planned, but they went and I had a great day.

So I went to the MOPS group this morning and it was good! Meetings are a little long for my taste--2 hours--but I just slipped out a bit early to hit the grocery store. There is a walking group starting up that meets at the preschool after drop-off, a book club, moms' nights out, etc. So I'm going to give some things a try and see how it goes.
One of the moms there was one I met over the summer at daycamp. I really liked her when we first met and felt like we could be friends (in a non-creepy way, hopefully). Today I found out she is a fellow Gator fan (despite not being from FL). Guess the tagline is true, Gator nation is everywhere.
B was a bit reluctant to go to school--I think he's recovered but was just wanting more time at home with me and C. When he found out it was C's day to go--AND I told him that if he was still sick, he'd need to stay in bed all day with no TV or snacks--school got a lot more appealing, ha. C had a great day and was the only one not crying at pick-up, lol.

Its hot here this week and I just want it to be soup weather. Same. Today isn't AS bad temp-wise--low 80s--but it is SO humid. Feels like a wet blanket is thrown over you when you open the door. I cannot wait for it to cool off.

guster They recently remodeled the Aldi's here...it sucks, but is so much nicer now. It seems like there is so much more space, which makes me not hate every other person in the store with me. Sunny41 hot here until Friday and I can't wait. We are supposed to be in the 70s this weekend, which is perfect since I'm going to the football game with my boss. I'm so glad Evie doesn't have homework. I barely remember to check her bag every night. If she has something that depends on me, she is going to fail preschool.

Hi ladies! Sorry for not checking today, had a big day at work, but all went well, so I’m a certificate richer . Dd’s sleep is a nightmare, and it’s a little after 09.40 to I’m getting ready for bed, true mom style.

Hi ladies! Layla threw up at school so I had to run and get her. Luckily my boss is awesome and I was able to WFH this afternoon. Layla told me she chews on her mat at nap time and one of the pieces made her throw up.🙄 So hopefully it's a one off and she learned not to eat her mat. Tim chewed on flip flops at this age, so I guess she comes by it honestly. Weirdos.

A agreed to a new car now only if we can get our payment the same or lower. The dealership got it within $24. God I hope he agrees.

So gross.

Hey. You were a quiet bunch today. I took H to school this morning, then S and I came home for a bit. Ran to Kohl’s to pick up a new wreath for the front door and ended up getting S a couple outfits too. I didn’t find any rain jackets there though. I ended up ordering off amazon, won’t be here till Thursday but rain is supposed to start tonight of course. I took a nap with S this afternoon and then hung out until supper. I seem to have misplaced my Fitbit which is super annoying. I hope all the vomiting kids are feeling better soon. slenle I think there is probably a Daniel tiger episode about shots. Those can sometimes help H.

cagoldi how are you doing? I did a partial hospitalization between freshman and sophomore year of college. It was really helpful at the time but I also had zero responsibilities. I imagine it’s hard when you have so much going on at home. How long are you doing it for? And are you on meds? I love you and hope you get well soon. I’ve been in this place and got through it 100% of the time. So will you.
