Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much. I started a new job last week and it's been an adjustment! But we went to the pool yesterday and my daughter was so wiped out that she melted down 30 minutes before bed and slept straight through until 6:30 am (she's been waking up lately!) So yay. Hope everyone has a great day!

Pretty good day here! It was DS' first day at summer school, and he has a new teacher who seems like a great fit for him. Huge relief! We were really lucky with his first nursery school teacher - she had a special bond with DS. DS was in a super good mood when he got home from school (he just goes 9am - noon), so I think that is a good sign too. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
Oh - DH and I also realized DS must have cut his bottom 2 yr molars at some point in the recent past. Historically, DS is an absolutely cranky pants when new teeth come in, so we were both kind of shocked that the 2 yr molars just popped up out of nowhere. Hoping that when the top ones cut, it will be just as painless.

I'm so tired this morning. DH and I went away this weekend, which was glorious, but after a delayed, late night flight and a baby that woke up twice in the MOTN, we're both pretty spent this morning. It was nice having time alone, without the kids this weekend, but I missed them so much more than I thought I would.

By 6:45 this morning BH had already broken a DVD and a wine glass. There are bracelets all over my bedroom floor and legos and toy cars all over the coffee table.
Happy Monday y'all!

Hoping that when the top ones cut, it will be just as painless. I wish this would happen for us! DS has been drooling, grouchy, and biting kids again at day care. I've been thinking he's getting his two year molars for probably months now, and as far as I can tell, no sign of them yet. I need them to come so I can blame his behavior on something besides teeth!

It's a super tired Monday here. I didn't sleep well, through no fault of my child for once. We also have a bit of a birthday hangover - after four days straight of non-stop new toys and fun activities, I'm actually glad to be back in the routine today. With extra coffee.

billyhorrible Sorry for the rough Monday start! Hopefully the day will get better. jillywilly Teething is the worst. I still can't believe that DS has 2 new bottom molars...I kind of am in disbelief it was that easy. When DS got his first set of molars, I swear he was cranky for months...once they finished cutting - his mood improved so much. Hope you see them pop through soon!

Morning! DS keeps pulling me into the playroom to watch him play. He doesn't even play with me, he just wants me in there while he plays. I have my phone and I don't have to deal with DH being in one of his weird moods again, so I'll call it a win.

We decided to take a break on sleep training. DD (15m) is already a clingy baby and she was becoming way, way worse by not letting DH put her down without constant meltdowbs. And everytime she saw me she would scream and push me away, so we've put the breaks on that for now 😕
DH had to work crazy hours to put in some extra training at work so I'm trying to make some play dates to socialize more ☺️

In laws are in town for a month....send wine already. staying in yard in camper.
H has a surprise vacation this week (other weeks requested were not approved so on Friday he found out he has this week...and I can't get off)
So far on Saturday they gave kids too much water in the evening so FS who is 4 and potty trained had an accident in his bed. And they last night they complained when we said no more water and they said he was thirsty. Um no, we are the parents and we have limits
And this morning they came in and yelled and it woke up the kids and MIL wants to have the kids with them so H can be with FIL and get stuff done.
Not when you undermine us....

Morning!
I had a somewhat decent weekend. Saturday we had a great time at the beer festival. Yesterday started out fine and then for some reason MH was suddenly in a crappy mood. No idea why. I thought I had given him a great Father's Day, so I really have no idea what his deal was.
Today is just another Monday at work. I have a lot to do and zero motivation to get any of it done.

DS1 has no desire to color 95% of the time and just wants us to do it while he watches. It's weird. It feels like a power move.

Oh my god I get this. My son's birthday is three days after Christmas. So we do our Christmas (23rd), in laws Christmas(24th), Santa, my parents Christmas(25th). Then one day off and birthday with inlaws (27th), birthday with just us(28th), birthday with my parents(29th). Sooooo many toys. I mostly want to curl up and hide at the end of it.

I'm supposed to color on my own paper but then she wants to color on my paper too. In the exact spot I'm coloring. Then gets mad when our markers touch. It's a whole lotta fun.

A likes to strip the wrapper off the crayons and break them in half. Maybe I've watched too many Criminal Minds, but that's kind of weird right? Please tell me my kid isn't the only one who does that.

butlerfan Sending all the wine - I hope you can get through this next month quickly! lildiamondeyes I remember taking off the wrappers to crayons when I was young, and then my sister would always break them in half or try to eat them. We both turned out pretty much normal 😉 I think your kid will be fine! Toddlers be toddlering....

I went out with my girlfriends tonight and it was so nice! Our sons are friends, so we see each other all the time, but we rarely get a chance to do so without the kids. Drinks turned into dinner turned into "we should really do this once a month."
