Hey all,
Still stimming over here. I am on day 7 of stims. My next monitoring appointment is tomorrow. Been on 300IU of Follistim and 225 of Menopur + 5 of Lupron. Most stims I've been on. Hope seeing some good results tomorrow.
I also had my second interview today and it went well. It was way more chill than round 1 (that made me cry lol).
I really think it'll be a good job + I'll keep IF coverage. So FX. I really hope it was meant to be!

dp21 Fx for some good growth tomorrow! How are you feeling on the higher doses? Fx for the job!!! AFM, can I play here? I've been lurking since my DOR diagnosis a couple of months back. Brief history (TW): Recurrent pregnancy loss brought us to the RE. After a third loss of trying on our own, our RE advised us to do IVF with PGS, which we did last summer. We delayed FET when DH's company was bought out and he was laid off and unemployed for 7 months. During transfer prep in April, we learned I'm now DOR. We transferred one CCS normal Day 6 blast which resulted in a BFN. We have one embryo left, a Day 7 blast. We are just getting ready to cycle again and hopefully get some better quality embryos. We are doing a MDLF protocol and I'm a little nervous about the mixed outcomes. My last BCP was this evening. I have a suppression check Wednesday morning and start Lupron Friday night. Here we go! Not much else happening this week. I have an all day training tomorrow that I'm hoping isn't too awful!

birch113, I'm feeling ok actually. It really helps that I have eliminated some stressors in my life. And welcome Good luck with MDLF. I ovulated through it and it was my one and only cancelled cycle. So I'm doing lupron protocol now. My best protocol was antagonist but new doctor wanted to go with lupron (but when I was on lupron before it was pretty low doses). So we'll see how things look tomorrow. Just hoping this works. Ugh I hate training days lol, hopefully it's interesting and not boring!

Nothing new here on the IVF front. Still waiting on the genetic results of our one embryo, and I have a few questions for my RE and nurse when I talk with them on Wednesday to decide which direction to take. If we can't get a banking cycle in before the school year starts, we think we're going to do the FET now. But if we can get a banking cycle done in August, rather than September, we'll do that. We tried to go to the winery we have a membership at yesterday for our monthly tasting and to pick up our bottle, but they had closed early I guess we'll try to hit them up next weekend!

Update: I talked with my doctor about my feelings of uncertainty. I feel liked we upped the stimms a whole lot and the numbers aren't that much better (with lupron protocol).
He wants me to do one more night of stimms. Have me come in tomorrow and he will do my US and we can discuss if we want to cancel and go back to antagonist or move forward.

birch113, Welcome to the check-in! I hope your cycle goes well. My current protocol is MDLF. I think it is going well, but this is my first IVF cycle so I have nothing to compare it to. dp21, I am glad you were able to talk to your RE. Hopefully you can come up with a good plan. Also, yay for you 2nd interview going well. bonzo, I hope you get some clarity with plans after you talk with your RE tomorrow. AFM, I am still stimming. My next u/s is tomorrow morning. I think we are getting close to triggering. I also think everything is going well...I haven't heard otherwise. Another follicle showed up on the u/s yesterday, so now there are at least 7. I haven't been writing down the numbers for follicle size, but all the follicles are similar in size. I am just taking it day by day right now.

Our embryo is aneuploid. So, FET is off the table now. Still hoping they can get me on the schedule to cycle in August, but we will find out tomorrow.

Hey guys,
Went in for monitoring this morning. Still have the 5. They said it's up to me to cancel or move forward. If we'd cancel he'd do estrogen priming plus antagonist. However, the schedule does not work out well for us. We are gone for vacation in July which means not cycling till August, doing ERA in Sept, and FET in Oct. If I get a new job, not going to work out well.
Maybe we should suck it up and take the chance. We only need one to work!!!!
I'm nervous as f*****

dp21 Tough decision. I probably would just go for it, but I am only on my first IVF cycle so I have no idea if I would have a different outcome with a different protocol. I hate the nerves every time I am driving to my clinic I get extremely anxious/nervous.

I still have 7 follicles. Two of them are a little smaller so we are giving them another day. ER will be this weekend.

dp21 oh man, it's such a hard decision. Is your RE confident that you would produce more follicles with a different protocol?

birch113, my RE is new to me. But I have produced more in past with antagonist. I tried to get him to do this time but he was soo confident about the lupron (which I didn't do great with at last clinic 2x). I'm a little mad at myself for not pushing harder for antagonist and felt like I went through the same experimental crap after switching clinics which I hope wouldn't happen. I think we might have done better staying at old place. But we will see, trying to stay positive at least it's a new clinic with a different lab. Maybe the lab will make a difference for us. The new RE was ready to scratch it all but when I went over calendars with the nurse, it will be really bad timing and that we should just go for it and hope for the best. Trigger is at 9:30pm tonight and thanks everyone for all the support. 2 failed IVFs and 2 failed FETs has me on the edge.

Thanks for the check-in, lemonliz. Hope you don't have to wait too long to try again. Shit dp21! Stimming is so stressful. I hope this ends up being the winning cycle for you. Hang in there. Welcome birch113. Hope baseline went well this morning and you can't get started. Fuck! I am so incredibly sorry, bonzo. IF is so unfair. Many hugs, friend. Come on, follies! FX they continue to grow and your end up with an amazing haul, woodenshoes. Have you made a decision whether you are going to your consult, amberr? It sucks to spend the money but the what if's suck too. AFM, I got my BW results from Q.uest and my AMH is 1.06. I haven't spoken to my RE yet about my results, but maybe he is waiting until I go in for my baseline appointment. DH and I almost positive that we are going to do another stim cycle. We might be OAD, but we want to have that chance if we decide we want more than one. And who knows how many more transfer until we get our THB. Just waiting on AF which should be here today.

babyhopes I cancelled it today. We had something financially pop up unexpectedly and it just made sense to save the $450 consult fee. It was a tough decision but we are at peace with it. I'm planning to spend some time next week applying for grants and if we get one, I'd do IVF sooner than next year! That would be amaze! Even better for a natural Bfp, but I'm not holding out hopes on that! Lol I'm having lots of different emotions. Everyday seems to be something different. Anything from complete indifference to urgent longing. Plus, at my work, I'm very unhappy so it's taking all my time and effort to not GBCB my job!

So many hugs, friend. Does your insurance not cover specialists? I can't believe they would charge your $450! I am FX so hard that you get picked for one of the grants. IVF is so expensive. It just blows my mind the money we have spent on IVF and meds already. DH and I initially met with an RE in 2012, but we really didn't have the money at that time to pursue treatment and every day was a roller coaster of emotions. IF is so unfair! Are there a lot of job opportunities where you live? Hang in there. We are here for you. <3

My insurance won't cover my RE because I have no IF coverage. They cover testing but not treatments. The crazy part, I live in a state with mandatory coverage for IVF. BUT. My company meets the required for exemption of mandatory coverage!! Our company is a huge, well know company and self funds our insurance. There are other job options in my field but they require 1.5 hours of driving each way to get there. And they don't pay as well. It's a catch 22, really.
And, yes. To have a consult with the RE, $450, no matter what. When there's only 1 clinic in the whole state, I guess they can charge what they want. ~le sigh~

Sorry guys, I owe you apologies. I'm having a really hard time getting it up for the boards these days. I don't know what my deal is. It's part fatigue and part je-ne-sais-quoi. Maybe a little bit of disappointment that the other site tanked? We keep investing in these places and then things explode. I guess I've been holding my breath for a few weeks.
I'll come back and tag and respond later! I just wanted to peek my head in and say hi and send hugs.
