Waaah! I guess they are officially toddlers. Where did the time go?
When is toddler's birthday? Aug 16
What size diaper are they wearing? 5.
What size clothes are they wearing? 12-18 with a few 24. I just went through ds1's old clothes this weekend to pull out the fall clothes that size.
How many naps do they take a day and how long are the naps? 2. 40 min each at daycare. 1.5 hrs each at home on the weekend.
How is night sleep? Does baby STTN? Is up once or twice? He sttn but I still can't believe it. Ds1 still does not sttn.
Is your toddler off bottles or are you still using them? Still using them. He's still drinking like 30 oz formula but eating full meals too. I need to cut down, switch to sippies, and gradually switch to whole milk.
Is your toddler talking? A little What words? Mama, dada, hi, Ace. He also has a few sounds he uses for specific things. Like a, "I'm showing you this toy sound".
Is your toddler walking? No
What other things is your toddler doing right now? Licking the floor. Seriously, he is so fixed on putting things in his mouth. He is honing his climbing skills lately. He'll go up on anything he can reach.
What is your toddler's favorite toys currently? Indoor bounce house; anything his brother is playing with, especially if it's not age appropriate; cars and trucks. Music set with shakers.
What do you do with your toddler during long stretches of awake time? Stay in and play? Go out? Run errands? Combination. We go to the library alot. Or we'll just go downstairs and he'll play on the bounce house.
Favorite foods? He loves food. Meat, cheese, Graham crackers, pizza, popsicles, mango, orange slices
What is your toddler going to be for Halloween? Robin
Is your toddler throwing tantrums? If so what do you do about this? Yes, usually when I won't let him crawl down the stairs or bash the keys on my laptop. Carry through and ignore the tantrum while verbally instructing. Redirecting if he keeps fussing.
Strollers: Do you use your heavy duty stroller most days or an umbrella stroller? Umbrella.
What are your favorite places to take your toddler? Library, any playground with turf because he eats the sand/mulch, parks with paved walking trails
WHat are 2 things you find are getting easier as your toddler gets older? He's playing more independently with his brother; he can eat more things and is easy to feed
What are 2 things you find are getting harder as your toddler gets older? He gets into everything!!! He tries to squeeze through the banister over our stairs this weekend and we had to block it with plexiglass; his little tantrums are so sad--definitely more moody lately
How are car rides for your toddler? He has rebelled against his car seat recently and arched so much when I put him in that he actually flipped over once. I got him a convertible seat and just need to install it. He doesn't sleep well in the car
Any other questions you have? What shoes are all the toddlers wearing? He had stride rite phibians for summer but I need to get him a fall pair once it gets colder. He's so active, the little slip-ons from Walmart or Target just fall off.

When is toddler's birthday? August 25
What size diaper are they wearing? 3 (I feel like he will be in 3's forever)
What size clothes are they wearing? 12 months
How many naps do they take a day and how long are the naps? 2 naps a day. Usually 2 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon.
How is night sleep? Does baby STTN? Is up once or twice? J is up once a night most nights.
Is your toddler off bottles or are you still using them? He has a bottle of WCM first thing in the morning, right before bed, and MOTN. After both of his naps and during the day he has a straw cup with milk and a sippy cup with water. He is drinking about 25 oz. of milk a day.
Is your toddler talking? What words? He says mama, baba, and da. He also sounds like he says "kay" whenever we ask him a question and yah, yah which cracks me up. He's been super vocal lately and tries to imitate what we are saying.
Is your toddler walking? Nope
What other things is your toddler doing right now? Eating everything on the floor. He likes to pull open drawers and pull everything out. He does this in our bathroom with the cotton balls and Q-tips and in the kitchen with tupperware. He loves waving still, can give high fives, climbs all over everything. We started swimming lessons and he loves the water.
What is your toddler's favorite toys currently? He likes this v-tech dump truck, his mega blocks, any balls he can throw, and he loves the lids to our tupperware.
What do you do with your toddler during long stretches of awake time? Stay in and play? Go out? Run errands? J is awake 3 hours in the morning, 4 mid-morning to afternoon, and 4 at night. We do well morning and night but the 4 hours mid-day are tough. Usually we go take a walk either at the park or the mall, run errands, just go get a coffee, etc.
Favorite foods? Pasta, chicken, fries, yogurt.
What is your toddler going to be for Halloween? No clue yet
Is your toddler throwing tantrums? If so what do you do about this? Yep, anytime he wants the ipad or a phone. We pull him away, let him cry a little, and tell him no.
Strollers: Do you use your heavy duty stroller most days or an umbrella stroller? We use our heavy duty one daily.
What are your favorite places to take your toddler? The college campus because the college kids are so nice to him, the swimming pool, and the mall.
WHat are 2 things you find are getting easier as your toddler gets older? He can play by himself for a few minutes so I can get stuff done. He feeds himself even though I have to cut up his food.
What are 2 things you find are getting harder as your toddler gets older? He's in to everything. He wants everything that we have.
How are car rides for your toddler? Still ok for now. He will whine sometimes but does ok. He sleeps in the car on long trips but not for as long as he used to which sucks when we go visit my family.
Other questions? Yes, anyone have trouble with food and their toddler? Like J chokes a lot. It has made him throw up before. I'm still cutting up his food into small pieces because he can't handle bigger pieces himself. I told the doctor this and he didn't seem concerned but I am. What shoes are they wearing? J doesn't wear shoes. He isn't walking so I don't put him in shoes but I guess I need to think about that soon.

I'll be back to answer but OMG @starzia, +1 to going out to eat right now. We are in the stage of it being soooooo unenjoyable for all the reasons you describe so I think we will be taking a break from that for awhile till it levels out again, LOL

I will say we had a big family luncheon yesterday and waited awhile and she did much better so i Guess it can be hit or miss.

king26, I think gagging is pretty normal for this age, where they cough and splutter a bit, but choking--where they actually have trouble breathing-- is not. Baby H gags on water frequently, which doesn't worry me, but not on food. But I am super paranoid and cut his food up in sizes about the quarter of a penny or a little larger. I don't trust him to bite pieces of larger pieces of choky foods like fruit or chicken, but he's allowed to have whole Graham crackers. Ds1 had a much stronger gag reflex and sensitivity to textures and is a much pickier eater. He still spits food out if it's a large mouthful. Maybe J just has a really strong gag reflex? Maybe try chopping things finer for a bit and see if it helps.

Eating out is dreadful for us now too!! Baby H grabs the plates and tries to flip them, tries to stuff huge pieces of food into his mouth, and freaks out if he's confined in a high chair. It's gotten a little better on repeat excursions, but we definitely avoid it and order carryout.

When is toddler's birthday? 8/14 What size diaper are they wearing? 3 which seems so funny because DD1 was like a 5 at this point but not much bigger weight wise. What size clothes are they wearing? 12-18 months but some smaller stuff still fits How many naps do they take a day and how long are the naps? 1 nap, anywhere from 1-2.5 hours How is night sleep? Does baby STTN? Is up once or twice? All over the place, STTN, up once, up twice but never more than twice (please tell me I didn't just jinx myself) Is your toddler off bottles or are you still using them? I *think* we are done with them. MH was trying all different cups last week but I can't seem to find a good sippy or straw cup that doesn't leak. Any suggestions? I do have a 360 cup I'm not sure he has tried yet so maybe I'll give that a go. I also don't really use the silicone style straw cups for milk because ew they are impossible to clean. Is your toddler talking? What words? Not really...maaaayyybee Mama or hi but lots of babbling Is your toddler walking? Yes. Her brain is also working faster than her legs so she is trying to run and falling, UGH What other things is your toddler doing right now? Trying to climb and get into everything. I have been really watching her like a hawk because she tries to eat everything in sight and get into all sorts of trouble. Oof What is your toddler's favorite toys currently? Anything that is tiny and choking hazard that belongs to her sis, LOL...Seriously she is starting to sit in her little chair and thumb through books which looks adorable and walk and land into pillow cushions. She likes baby dolls too and makes this cute awwwww sound while hugging them. What do you do with your toddler during long stretches of awake time? Stay in and play? Go out? Run errands? All of the above but we tend to be out and about trying to do something to keep the kids entertained. This is why I am NOT looking forward to winter and being housebound so much. Favorite foods? Chicken, pasta, eggs, crackers, mostly any fruit. What is your toddler going to be for Halloween? I have the cutest bunny costume from DD1. I'll have to post a comparison picture Is your toddler throwing tantrums? If so what do you do about this? Yes, ignore usually Strollers: Do you use your heavy duty stroller most days or an umbrella stroller? both. The regular stroller is easier sometimes because I can carry a few things What are your favorite places to take your toddler? Walks, the park What are 2 things you find are getting easier as your toddler gets older? Lining up bedtimes a little better with DD1 now that she is getting older. More independent play. What are 2 things you find are getting harder as your toddler gets older? The fact that she is still trying to eat anything and everything and needs to be watched like a hawk. How are car rides for your toddler? She seems to do fine usually. Any other questions you have? None right now except the cup recommendation mentioned above.

jt2378 DS loves this cup. It has never leaked that I can think of. I haven't tried with E yet because she adores her weighted straw sippy cup. And she hates WCM, so I haven't pushed it yet. Hes allowed to have whole mum mums and sometimes long piece of cheese but everything else we cut up.

When is toddler's birthday? August 23
What size diaper are they wearing? size 3 daytime size 4 nighttime
What size clothes are they wearing? Really depends on the brand.. mostly 9-12mo and 12mo stuff
How many naps do they take a day and how long are the naps? one or two, and they usually last 45 minutes, longer naps are rare, and lately I've had to be content with just the one nap, ugh!
How is night sleep? Does baby STTN? Is up once or twice? I'll skip this question for now as nighttime is DRAMA right now. I loose count of the wake-ups, they happen every 45-60minutes atm (seriously.... ahhhhh)
Is your toddler off bottles or are you still using them? She only ever got a nighttime bottle and at daycare, and we still use them for those moments though during the day she uses her miracle 360 cup
Is your toddler talking? What words? Mama mama mama mama, die (that one, including the pointy finger lol so cute), dada (papa).. the rest is just mostly babbling still
Is your toddler walking? Yes, errrrywhere. She won't crawl unless during playtime, or if she's in a REAL hurry to get somewhere.
What other things is your toddler doing right now? What is your toddler's favorite toys currently? her stacking cups, a couple of What do you do with your toddler during long stretches of awake time? Stay in and play? Go out? Run errands? depends on the day; some days we stay in and play, we run errands, go to the library or just for a walk, visit the grandparents. I really want to add some more regular kids activities, like story time or or a baby gym/swimming or something. Will be nice for D, and maybe I'll get to know some other moms around here for playtime.
Favorite foods? goshshe really eats pretty much all we set in front of her (except for couscous lol). She esp loves her fruits Is your toddler throwing tantrums? If so what do you do about this? yes... I mostly try to redirect, sometimes just ignore, and I try to explain why it is she can't have/do what she wants to Strollers: Do you use your heavy duty stroller most days or an umbrella stroller? I either use the manduca carrier or heavy duty stroller. We do have a umbrella stroller our neighbors gave us but I'm not a fan.
What are your favorite places to take your toddler? Daycare? LOL just kidding! Anywhere she has lots to look at really, so that can be the petting zoo but also just the grocery store. I hope she'll love going to the library as much as I did as a kid.
What are 2 things you find are getting easier as your toddler gets older? It's nice that she can entertain herself for longer periods of time so I can get some stuff done myself. And I like that when we go somewhere and I need two free hands for a moment I can just put her down and she'll stand on her two feet (and not run off right away just yet.. which prolly is gonne change soon lol).
What are 2 things you find are getting harder as your toddler gets older? Keeping things out of her reach. Going somewhere alone ... she's all into mama and will start crying the moment I walk out of the room let alone go outside.
How are car rides for your toddler? Shorter rides are okay (like the 5min drive to daycare) but longer ones are proving to be more and more challanging. I hope that changing her to a bigger carseat (she's still in the bucket seat but aaaaalmost too big so I can imagine it's not to comfi no more.. but something went wrong with the ordering of the new one.. and we're still waiting for it since early August!) will fix that.. she never minded carrides but the last months it's been ugh
Any other questions you have? not right now!

happyfeet9 re Christmas present ideas, we are getting ds1 and baby h a 12v two-seater ride-on if I can find one in the budget. I am so excited. Ds1 already had a tiny one-seat 6v ride-on that he gives baby h rides on, so I think they will love this. Alternately, I've been looking at the big foam shapes, the ones they have in kids' gyms. Baby H loves to climb. I've decided I like doing one big gift they will use over and over instead of little plastic toys they will lose interest in--they get those from the relatives, lol.

I think a bigger gift for the twins to share is a good idea. I might go with a wagon since they have a ride on train and car from DS1. I think for DS1, I'll grab a scooter. Space is at a premium since we are still in an apt; I just finished a big purging of toys when I moved the twins into their room.

The only Christmas idea I have for E is a baby stella doll. Which I already got on clearance a few months ago. She is really happy to play with random toys and things around the house. She played with my brush for over an hour a few days ago. 🤷♀️

He freaks on me if I try to pry it from his hands. Lol. 🤷🏻♀️ Kids are weird man.
