I stumbled across this amazing free exhibit put together by Doctors Without Borders. www.forcedfromhome.com/Forced From Home is a one-hour guided tour through an interactive exhibition designed to educate the public about the global refugee crisis. I went through it yesterday over my lunch break and I learned a lot. I haven't seen any advertisements for it and it's only here for a week, so I wanted to share with people who live in upcoming cities. Go out of your way to see this. It's really worth it. It's already been on tour in the Fall of 2017 and the Spring of 2018, but here's the upcoming dates for the Fall of 2018: Minneapolis Sept 9-16, 2018 Chicago: Sept 23-30, 2018 Charlotte: Oct 7-14, 2018 Atlanta: Oct 21-28, 2018 San Antonio: Nov 4-11, 2018

I know a few people Iād like to drag along to it. I totally stumbled into it, not having a clue what it was. It was guided by a Doctors Without Borders person who walked small groups of people thru different stations. They focused on the whole refugee crisis - from why people leave to what happens when they leave to where they end up. It was so well done and informative. It was focused on Europe, Asia and Africa more so than Central America, but I would think it would cause most Americans to stop and think about refugees in a new way. If you know people in SA, encourage them to go. Iāll buy them a drink remotely ;-)

Bookmarked. I expect my drink shortly Is it appropriate for a 6 year old or nah? nah. Not necessarily inappropriate, but it was a good hour (more if you stay to watch the VR videos) of listening to a guide talk, stopping at about six different exhibits/stations along the way. I thought DS would handle it ok, but managing his impending boredom wouldāve meant I couldnāt have really paid close attention. So if you can do it sans kid, itās way better.

This sounds really interesting. I wish it was close to me. it really was. I wonder if theyāll set more days for 2019 soon. It really was a well-oiled machine of an exhibit. And, frankly, not American. Maybe it was my particular guide (French), but she worked in a couple good digs at Americaās bare minimum effort to help resettle refugees. So hopefully it becomes a more international tour soon!

And she could really use a little education in this area...I need to trick her into going somehow. A drink might be the ticket!

Doctors Without Boarders (MSF) is an amazing organization. Iāve worked with them on several fundraising initiatives in Southeast Asia (specifically for their work with the Rohingya). So, so impressed by what they do and the very talented and selfless people who work for/with them. Iād encourage anyone who is interested in the refugee issue to check out below link if you are inspired by your visit and want to get involved. www.doctorswithoutborders.org/take-action/engage-us/volunteerI wish I could check out this exhibit in person. Thanks for highlighting brux

I wish this was happening this weekend because I'm in Atlanta right now. Hopefully it'll come closer to where I live someday.

This looks amazing. Hoping it comes to the Philly area. It was here on the fall of 2016, I assigned it as an option to get extra credits for my students. Those who went ended up loving it.
