I am off today and back to my normal schedule (wed-fri) next week so I end up with a very nice stretch of days off! However...it snowed. Like actual snow that has stayed on the ground 😭 It will melt but still.

Thank you to whoever asked how work was going! This was my second week back and it has gone really well! Kids are loving the daddy time, DH is loving being off, and work has been good just insanely busy. The real test for us will be when DH goes back too mid October. My parents and inlaws babysit when I work. I know DS will be fine at my parents house because my mom has watched him and put him down for naps before. We don’t spend as much time with my inlaws or at their house so I’m hoping DS will be ok there too. The good thing is that they babysit Thursday’s which is a non preschool day for DD so she will be with him the whole day which will help!

No thank you to the snow, doodlemommy! Is that typical for you this time of year? DNW snow in September.

No thank you to the snow, doodlemommy! Is that typical for you this time of year? DNW snow in September. Well...kinda? I live in the Canadian prairies. It snowed the days both my kids were born (sept 8 and Oct 12) but it doesn’t usually stay on the ground. So this is a bit unusual yes. It really sucks for the farmers, crops are still in the ground. Our weather can be so random. Last year at this time it was like 20 degrees Celsius, it is currently -1 🤷♀️

August Blooms I’ll find you a proper congee recipe. There are 9 ways to Sunday making it and I don’t use a recipe...I just make it 😂 super easy and I make it on a crock pot. Taitai yasss! To congee for babies, it really makes it easy to get them all sorts of stuff to eat. Kabocha is so delicious and now that it’s fall, all the root vegetables are in season which makes for good congee broth. Also craptastic naps going on here. I looked it up and it’s too early for them to drop to 1 nap. I remember the transition was not fun too...DS I think dropped to 1 nap around the same time as your DS. Although I was lucky, he was a very good sleeper.

CoachTsWife, hope you get back to schedule soon. Getting xtra time with baby sounded good though, well silver lining. hang in there and hope your DCP has a mild case, I hear it’s painful.

doodlemommy I would take a light dusting right now, or a dip in temperatures. this is the summer that won’t end, it’s 35 with the humidity and looks that way for at least 4 more days. Tomorrow is my towns fall festival 😂 duskymonkey Thanks! So we had our appointment at the children’s hospital, it was hard to see the other families with health challenges that are way more serious than ours. It makes me feel very blessed but also happy that they are able to access world class medical facilities. The appointment was very straight forward and we are moving on to the next stage of testing which involves an endoscopy . So we have to wait for a few months for that, the staff was fantastic and traffic was light so overall as good as it gets when you have to visit a hospital.

cythe I’m so so sorry about your mom’s cat...thinking of you and her. I’m glad she was with you and hoping it gave her good distraction. Hope you get your pay check sorted out. That is so stressful. You should send them your bills..seriously WTF, not acceptable. Makes me angry someone’s incompetency puts your family in a difficult situation.

My folks are coming back this Sunday and DS has been counting down and exclaiming everyday this week how excited he is 😬 Guess hubs and I will just have a couple days more to enjoy some quiet time and time for me to get back to work. I’ll need to reach out to the studio and hoping they have work for me since I had to turn them down a few weeks ago when they called and asked if I could come in at the end of August which when I left, I told them tentively that my folks would probably be back by then but unfortunately they got held up with some family matters. I’m sure they’ve secured another person but hoping they’ll have extra work otherwise I’ll have to make a bunch of calls and see if anything materializes.

August Blooms , that’s great that you’ve had a good experience with CA healthcare. No matter what people always have something to complain about and I’m sure your neighbors over here are looking over the fence and thinking gosh Free healthcare...what a concept. Hoping Endo will go smoothly for DD...

It’s the weekend!! A friend was bringing her daughter over to play with DS1 but it’s supposed to rain so so much so we may reschedule.
Currently waiting on H to get home with dinner. I’m starving and eating cookie dough to tide me over.

Friday Friyay!
I got on some kind of cleaning kick when we got gone. No idea where the random burst of energy came from but I suddenly wanted to clean all.the.things?!?!
DD1 has a soccer game bright and early tomorrow. Like, we need to be at the fields at 8:00am for team pictures. After that I think we’re just hanging out here and doing house stuff, grocery shopping, and naps.

Hoping Endo will go smoothly for DD... Yes people always find something. My mom was telling me after the appointment that one of the doctors she works for took her daughter to the same place for the same thing and had bad experience. But I’m pretty sure it was them, since both are doctors and are pretty high and mighty about themselves from what she tells me.
