Barring a medical issue I guess I don't get the glasses preference. Like the never wants to wear anything but glasses. Contacts are so much better on so many levels. In my head this makes sense. I wore contacts exclusively for many many years. But then I don’t know, after having kids glasses was just...easier. DNW to deal with putting in contacts in the morning in addition to the thousand things I now have to do. But as they get older maybe I'll go back, who knows. I think my eyes are drier now so I wonder if that would affect things.

I’ve worn contacts for 20 years. Must wear sunglasses and I hate having to switch between the two. Glasses are for nighttime only.
Having a kid with a prosthetic eye made me get over any remaining weird feelings I had about eyes. Nothing squicks me out anymore.

See my glasses have the automatic sunglass thing that kicks in, I forget what that’s called. But it’s awesome. I never have to worry about the sun.

My kids have them and they’re great for them. For me, I hate how long they take to lighten up once I’m inside. Contacts for life.

One of my first patients during my clinical rotations had a severe phobia of cotton balls. He feared he would be suffocated by them. Getting him to put his hand in a bag of cotton balls after 45 weeks was like a major accomplishment. He was one of the main reasons why I decided against clinical work.

I’ve been watching videos of babies and toddlers hearing for the first time after a cochlear implant all morning and I’m a sobbing mess. I just pushed my morning conference call back and blamed it on technical difficulties.

I think I look better with glasses than without. But that was before bangs. Maybe now that my giant forehead is covered up, it wouldn't be so bad.

omg this entire time I was trying to figure out what "tank" was. A fish tank? Wtf kind of tank has people on it? Is tank something British? Not until you linked was like like "OH A MF TANK TOP!" I need more coffees today. I thought she was saying she got a set of wooden spoons in the shape of an armored tank with British baking people on it and I was like what in the fuck is that?! And then I got to the bed restraint part and I was like, "No. This cannot be right. There cannot be wooden spoons in the shape of an armored tank that is being driven by British Baker people partaking in bondage". Then I reread and realized I'm just a moron who requires bullet points or numbered items or some shit.

Someone in my Facebook group said this this morning.
“Whoever got rid of Wendy’s spicy chicken nuggets, your mom’s a ho”
I guess my confession is that I agree.

On the same line of glasses, I hardly wear sunglasses. I like when everything is bright and I can see everything in vivid colors. I still wear sunglasses if the sun is glaring at me shen I drive. But once I’m good I take them off. My mom is one of those people who needs to wear them all the time. She’s got light sensitivity or something. I guess I have sensitive eyes because I wear sunglasses even if it is overcast, especially if I am driving. My H hardly ever wears his

It wasn’t he worked in a cotton ball factory. 🤷🏽♀️

H got a response today on a job lead. He texted me that he had gotten the e-mail but hadn't read it yet. I figured he was going to wait until his lunch break, but I couldn't wait that long. So I opened up his e-mail on his computer at home, read it, marked it unread, and then waited for him to text me and tell me what it said.
I probably won't be telling him this.

stupidsexyflanders, empathy, lady. DS2 has a significant diagnosis and I'm scared of the same for a hypothetical 3rd kid. He wasn't diagnosed until 4.5 months, so we got a few innocent months... the rest of his first year was tough.

Thumbs down. I figured as much because the contact is a friend of ours and I saw his wife at preschool drop off this morning, and she made a comment that made it seem that lead didn't work out. But it was encouraging to H anyway, to get some feedback from someone in the industry.
