I’m in the midst of post partum hair loss hell and also in the process of growing it out. I think I’m going to do the opposite of what most people do in the fall and go even more blonde and potentially try extensions. I probably won’t add tons of length, but I desperately need more volume. I’ve had tape in extensions in since the spring and love them. You have to be pretty diligent about getting them moved up but they’re so worth it to me and I haven’t had any issues with damage/breakage. I’ve actually cut my hair shorter since getting them. I did take them out for a little while this summer but I missed them way too much and got them out back in

Once this wedding is over I’m going back to a pixie. I would love to be able to go longer than chin length but even shoulder length looks horrible on me because of how thick my hair is. I went pixie this fall and I am sooooooo happy with it. I just wish I did it two years ago.

I have also considered balayage. Right now I literally just do all over box dye to cover greys. It’s maybe 1 shade lighter than my natural color. But my greys come in wiry and make my dark hair look blah. So I feel like the benefits of balayage (being able to go a while between appointments) would be wasted on me. My hair right now is what's left of the balayage from April. It lasts

I need a haircut but want to be able to tie it up so idk. I’d like collarbone length but that’s likely too short. Someone tell me I’m wrong.

I had a chin length bob for years and I could still get *most of it* in a stubby little ponytail. It wasn’t a cute ponytail but I could do it. I’d think collarbone length would be long enough for a descent ponytail.

The last stylist I saw said she was taking it as short as she could for me to get a ponytail but I wanted shorter.

I just talked myself out of a side bang at my stylist's the other day. Always regret them in a few weeks but then I'm always tempted to go back. I wash and go in the warmer months but usually wash at night and maybe touch up with some heat in the morning (like in the pic) when it gets cold. I really need to look into Botox for my forehead...

My hair was a hot mess after having S so I chopped it last december and I’ve been wearing it in protective styles since February/March. Im loving the shoulder length bob right now so I’m thinking I’ll do something like this for the cold weather months. Attachment Deleted

My hair thrives when I get extensions. It just depends on what kind you get and who does them.

miawallace You’re hot! I love a fringe but the last time I cut them (8 years ago) it didn’t look good. I feel like I’ll get annoyed with them fast, but I’ve had the same hair for forever and want to do something different. Poof Thoughts? (It will hopefully look better than what I accomplished here lol)

babybeanI feel like maybe the thick blunter fringe might work for you. If you want bangs. They tend to be easier to work with. Blow dry or pass a flat iron through them I’m really digging these types of bangs. Bangs with longer pieces framing them.

It’s what I have right now. If I wear them in a ponytails, they still frame my face and looks somewhat polished. But I also should say it’s fairly “easy” for me to style because I blow dry my hair when I do style it. Or use the curling iron.

As long as it’s at chin length you can get it up. Plus, there’s always a headband, if you just want it out of the way.

I JUST got about 8 inches cut off into a lob. Took my old grown out balayage into this. My hair is super fine so the shorter style is helping mask the terrible PP hair loss I’m having right now.

I just chopped about 12 inches off this summer. I tried to go back to red like I had for years but I don’t like how it faded. I just do soft black over my entire head. Of course, my grays come up right where I part so my stylist game me a root cover-up spray that I can use in between dyes if I really want to cover them up. I can’t do bangs, I have a ton of hair but it is fine and after 1 week they are falling in my face and I hate them. Here are my inspo pics for the cut I got: And here is what I got: POOF

My friend is my stylist and she totally understands that I'm not the kind of person to come in every 4-6 weeks for my roots, so she recommended balayage when I told her I wanted to put some purple in my hair. When I needed to do my roots, I just mixed my dye in a glass measuring cup and used a dye brush to cover just my roots.

I'm obsessing about cutting all my hair off. It's currently brushing my shoulders, but good lord, the regrowth from my last pregnancy is killing me. It looks like my current inspiration is "mohair."
If I do it I'll post an AW before/after.

So I was scrolling FB and a girl posted this to my town/community page. It was a random Pinterest pic she found but I swear to God, this is me and my hair from 4 years ago. I was like holy shit that's so weird, that's me!! I told her how unhappy I was with it and the fact that it became internet famous because I completely faded out and was gone within 2 weeks. And I'm a wash hair 1-2 times a week person so it's not like I washed it 14 times. I had it redone and same happened again so I gave up. I wish it had lasted.

I’m still trying to figure out to do it wavy/messy. This is me. I chopped mine off to just about shoulders last year and it only looked good when I could get it wavy like those pics. But I need to be able to blow dry in the morning and the only way I could achieve wavy was air dry. I really want to go back to shorter but I need help with styling. My hair is so thin.
