I do not like coconut water. Blech. I don't like coconut flavor period. Plus there's the coconut water octopus mold that I can't unsee.
What the fuck is that??

I have basically moved on from wine drinking these days. I have found my good combination of cocktails I can have that don’t break the calorie bank and don’t leave me feeling like shit in the morning. Wine makes me feel like garbage. I am definitely the opposite. Anything other than wine or beer is bad news bears for me.

I keep wanting to check out winc but then I think that maybe I should try not drinking so often. I skip every other month. I like the variety, but I really don't need 4 bottles every month. I do every 3 months and just add extra bottles sometimes. H and I really liked a red blend from our last box so I added a couple of those to the upcoming one.

I'm finishing up this thread and using the term "dealer" for car dealership is making me chuckle. NHIE heard it said like that.

I had a winc subscription for almost a year. I was not impressed. Felt like they were scamming me or something. I wanted them to recommend wine in the lower price point. They'd want to send more expensive wine. With screw top lids. I told them I'm allergic to grapefruit and cherry flavors makes me sick to my stomach so they always recommended wine with grapefruit or cherry flavors. When I chatted with them about this they said well to improve our matches for recommended wines to fit your tastes better you have to order the wine and then rate it so we know you don't like that. Or call us every month and we can recommend a wine outside of the automated recommendations. Wtf? Negates simplicity of wine showing up on my doorstep each month if I have to do something to fix my order every month. And then there was the months fed ex couldn't find my house when it was a wine delivery that needed a signature. I know we have talked about this, but you can just pick the wines that go into your box. They don't have anything below $13/bottle, I think. If you don't like it, that's fine, I just still don't really understand this issue. Screw top lids are very popular in wines and do not affect the wine at all, so IDK what that has to do with anything. If anything, corks can go bad...

H is eating curry chicken feet in bed. I’m sure we can fight over this. 1. Curry 2. Chicken feet 3. Eating in bed Take your pick The curry is what gets me because of staining.

I don’t have a ton of girlfriends that I can talk with about this stuff with. I have one friend that is interested in skin/haircare but we have completely different needs. I really enjoy all the recommendations and threads about what worked/didn’t work, dupes for this etc. To me it’s better than just googling reviews. I admit I have personally bought things because they were recommended in one of the threads. Cher , the wonders of Olaplex and Taitai sunscreen and snail products. I am so thankful for both! I owe my current blemish free skin to Taitai. It's taken a few months to get to this point because I couldn't supermarket sweep amazon and ebay, but it's been totally worth it. This makes me so happy!!! I’m glad my suggestions have helped both of you @karewalker sheilathetank 💕🐌 🐌 💕 If anyone ever needs skincare recs, you all know where to find me over in the AB skincare thread 😁

If I wanted to choose my own wines I can do that. But part of the appeal is the surprise of it plus them recommending good wines. But if they only recommend wines you tell them you hate? That's a stupid business plan. Really stupid. Also if I say send me 3 whites and one red, dont say you are sending 3 reds and a sparkling wine. Or if I say I want $13 wines, don't say you are going to send me 4 $30 wines.

Whelp - I normally don’t go here, because I’m 12 hours off from the states and I can’t keep up. But - just want to assure you all...I am not a secret influencer for the Japanese sunscreen industry or the Korean snail lobby. Just your friendly HIH skincare enthusiast 😉
I also like the shopping and handbag thread - I am not a logo person and I don’t trust myself to take care of designer stuff, but I think it’s something fun to follow and I genuinely feel happy when others get a great bag or outfit they love - be it an Amazon camera bag, an ON camo field jacket, a Kate Spade wallet, or a pair of Gucci slides. I love it all and think it’s fun to follow.

I don’t post here much and I know this is yesterday’s news now but I just need to pop in with the following PSAs: -don’t sleep in your contacts -don’t stretch the wearing schedule -daily disposables are 1000% worth it. Bad things happen way less often and they are not much more expensive than monthlies/biweeklies especially if you don’t wear them every day and factoring in solution costs. -LASIK is an awesome option if you’re a good candidate with a stable Rx and you keep up with the follow ups.
That’s all. Sorry if this is obnoxious. I have a hard time keeping my nose out of it when something optometry related comes up.

There was some thing a few years ago about freezing your jeans to “clean” them. No thanks. What about the dead skin and oils? We all shed something. Especially over 12 years. Wasn't that debunked? Household freezers don't get cold enough to kill the bacteria. You are correct. Nerd alert: we store our bacterial cultures in deep freezers and they are viable when thawed.
