I have a 1/2 day today since E has his 9 month appointment. He wasn't spared from having this cold after all. So his sleeping should be fun the next few nights.

Dreary, rainy day here. Currently drinking my coffee and watching ds2 try to figure out his walker toy. He found a couple of ds1's old toys (farm with animals and mailbox) so I think I'm going to bring those downstairs for him. Ds1 got them around his first birthday so they are the right age now (😭). Ds2 is 11 months old today! Gah, where does time go?

Morning! The big is off at school. DD2 is down for a nap but fighting it. DD1 will also need a nap as she had another rough night without her soother. She ended up in our bed again. I REALLY don't want to make this a habit. Not too much planned for today. Tonight I will take the flowers out of the silica gel to see if any of them are actually salvageable.

Ds3 had his allergist appointment yesterday. They did his yearly skin test, and yup, still allergic. The spot was the size of a half dollar 🙁 Gotta do the the blood test still and fx his numbers went down.
She did do a quick skin prick on AJ while we were there and thankfully he is in the clear for peanuts. So I can start giving him peanut butter, which is great news

I took the day off because ds2 also has his 9 month appointment and it’s in the middle of the day. I’m hoping to do some rummages, open savings accounts for the boys and relax. H works tonight so he’ll be home with us for a little bit and then he’ll go to sleep. I got to throw dinner in the crock pot in a bit. I love the cooler weather- I have a much easier time deciding what to make for dinners lol!

Walked in to daycare this morning to the news of confirmed Hand Foot and Mouth case(s). The lead teacher in N's room says only one of theirs is out, so I think it's more in the Toddler 1 room... but they tend to combine those rooms in the early morning and late afternoon (when numbers for both rooms are smallest). And N definitely has a stuffy nose, so now I'm worried about fending of HFM and pinkeye, since this kid is a belly sleeper and always wakes up with snot all over his face.
N has been grumpy, but he's also teething and knock on wood he's not showing other symptoms. Going to disinfect everything tonight though. BLAH. They are calling me today with his surgery time for next week, so I will mention the outbreak to them and see what if any affect that will have, just to be safe.

C is miserable - so snotty and a fever - so I called in to work to stay home with him. He had a bit of a cold at 4 weeks otherwise this is his first illness. I hope it doesn’t turn into an ear infection, I remember DS1 having like 3 ear infections in a row around this age.

B wound up in our bed for the second night in a row, so H and I agreed to start sleep training next week. I feel ready for it. Meanwhile, my 3 year old woke up at 3am and wanted to come to bed with us but I couldn’t let him because we already had the baby in there. Maybe some day I will sleep again 😴

I swear it seems like every year the cold and flu season gets longer.

Ok I'm pissed. The doctor's office is trying to claim we don't have a wellness visit today. I booked all of E's visits for the year at his 3 month one. I literally put them in my phone as we decided them. I said something to my husband that it was weird they didn't do a reminder call, so he called them. "Sorry we don't have him scheduled today and we don't have time for an appointment" This is not the first time I have been told one time and they changed it. So basically I took the afternoon off for nothing (I already have a sub in the building) and will have to schedule it again for another time.

I wish DD had more predictable wake up times. Yesterday she slept in the latest ever, 8! Today she slept all the way until 5 so I fed her and put her back down, but she didn't fall back asleep by 6 when DH got up. Apparently she had a big poop. Silly baby. She had been doing 7 for a few days in a row which I like, if I got to choose. I guess when I go back to work and she goes to daycare I might have to enforce some sort of wake up time!

He had a bit of a cough last week, is better now, but I think he gave it to the baby.

At our clinic we can see appointments that were scheduled and then canceled- you should have them check to see if someone (one of the staff members) canceled it. They should absolutely make time for you if that’s the case.

cakewench, fingers crossed! pootsen, hope it passes quickly. I had a super busy day at work today, miraculously succeeded to leave almost on time though! BabyWaffle is crawling faster by the minute and we have a tiny sliver of top tooth pierced through. I've just given her some paracetamol so hopefully it doesn't bug her too much during the night.

Hello! Work has been kicking my butt lately. I'm hoping it slows down a little after this week. We've got DS1's 4th birthday on Sunday (which means L is 10 months on Sunday!), and then my birthday next week. Nothing terribly interesting going on here other than that, I don't think. L is walking a bit and starting to get some good bruises from falling and/ or running into things. All in all, he's doing pretty well at the moment.

Obviously, this is a screw up on their end.

And also I’m ready to kill my H. When we were texting earlier about the whole doctor mix up, I asked him to check to see if they had record of a 9th month appointment. I was pretty steaming I had wasted sick time but it was a pretty simple question. He told me to “calm down because I was being too forceful.” Excuse me??
