C has been getting a rash around her mouth that comes and goes. I most often notice it after nursing. Is this allergy? I don't see it as much after solids but she obviously has a more limited diet than I. She gets diaper area rashes pretty easily, but nothing that Grandma Els can't fix in one or two changes. We're also a fair skinned family, so maybe this is just irritated skin becoming more visible in the heat of nursing? Her mood is more or less fine. She's been a bit moodier lately, but never corresponding to when I see the face rash. Here's a pic. The rash is hard to capture, so it's more visible in person than in this picture.

I would likely not get worried about it if it doesn't seem to be happening in connection with solids and it doesn't come with other symptoms. One of my kids (H maybe?) had super sensitive skin and would get red bumps around his mouth when breast feeding in the hot months when we were both sticky and sweaty. Almost like a heat rash from being on my skin.
If you don't have that horrible gut feeling and nothing else is suspicious, I'd probably just wait and bring it up at her next well child visit if it's still happening then.

That's pretty much how I feel but I wanted some confirmation that I wasn't being negligent of something. Thank you!

Heat rash sounds about right. Nugget also gets contact redness when she eats acidic foods like tomato sauce. It always goes away a little bit after I clean her off.

P gets a pacifier rash if she has it in a lot in hot weather. I'm sure could work with nursing too.
