My mom would ask me my kids names regularly when we were still talking. She’s just an asshole though.

His name is Rodney and she would send me texts asking how Roddy was. I finally told her his name isn’t Roddy and that was a stupid nickname and only saved her one keystroke from his real name. I knew I was being extra but it really drive me nuts.

I have been feeling on the verge of run down and MH suggested I spend the morning in bed while he does preschool drop off etc. The little one isn’t going today because we’re still on gradual entry so that’s a big offer. I’m going to have to sneak out and make a big breakfast while they drop D1 off though, because my nightstand Lara bars aren’t cutting it.

I almost forgot when my dad asked me if he could hypothetically come live with me. I'm pretending that never happened like an adult that I am.

DD found her book that my mom made of pictures from the day she was born.
The last page has her name and what I am assuming is supposed to be the month and year she was born except it says DEC and she was born in Nov. I told her grandma put the month she made the book since she gave it to us for Christmas, but really I think my mom was confused

Last year, my parents called to wish me a happy birthday...
3 days before my birthday.
I really think they just lost track of the date, though, because they were out of town.

My two year old just walked out of the bathroom dripping wet and without a shirt. I asked him what happened and he looked at me like I was dumb and said I washed my hands and then he walked away.
When he isn't driving me crazy he is so cute.

Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary. So awkward, I am not buying her a gift, but still feel like we should do something since we are still married... A friend of mine did this......they were separated, but spend their anniversary together doing the same thing they did every anniversary. It was weird. And confusing. For everyone involved.

If my H doesn’t clean his side of the closet out I’m doing it for him. I should not need to play jenga to find a place to put the clean sheets. He’s totally taken over!

It’s overcast today! Not with smoke, but actual clouds! 🎉

Cloudy here and I have a headache. To cheer myself up I ordered fajitas for lunch, and I'm preplanning a shopping trip on Friday. I really hate the mall, but if I have to go, I might as well make the most of it and get some fall shopping done.

WHY WON'T MY TODDLER SLEEEP? WHYYYYYY? I did all the sleep training I was supposed to. I wish I could've tied him down in the crib forever. The waking up every 45 - 60 minutes is killing me. KILLING ME.

DS still had a slight fever when he got up this morning so he's staying home with H. This is the first time he's been sick in 1.5 years so I'm hoping it's nothing big

Dh flew to N.Y. this week to meet with his work team. They all work remotely around the us in education support for the education group of a computer company. They knew their company is bring bought out in Nov. Now they know that about 20 of the 120 education people are going to be offered a job in the new company.
So based on things said he pretty sure won't have a job come Nov. So now He's freaking out in ny by himself. Newest freak out is he's less than a year out from heart attack and stent and won't have his insurance any more. He's going to have another heart attack before he even gets home.

I have the week of Thanksgiving off. I am seriously considering putting the kids in half-day camps for two days just so I can get rid of stuff in peace.

Or maybe I’ll just kick everyone out of the house Saturday morning. I have the fall cleaning itch.

E’s cardiology appointment was this morning. It looks like she will eventually need surgery to fix the holes in her heart because they aren’t improving on their own. I’m still processing things. They are hoping to be able to do it w/ a catheter rather than open chest, which is a relief, and they will try to wait a couple years for her to grow to reduce the risks of anesthesia. 😕

I always enjoy my kids immensely more when someone else has tired them out a bit/they appreciate being home to veg out instead of asking me what we’re going to doooooo today!

DD1 broke a bone in her foot 4 weeks ago and has been wearing a moon boot ever since. She went to the ortho today and officially doesn't need to wear the moon boot or use crutches anymore. I'm so happy for her, it was rough being on crutches since the first week of school.
Oh and her MRI results last week were normal, thank goodness. Looking forward to less doctor appointments!
