Smokey the Secretary is looking for a file. I have been telling her for months now that the file isn't in the box it is supposed to be in and that her boss must have it. Got to work this morning and she needs the whole file. Not sure what she thinks I can do, it's not in its box. So she asked if the runner could go through every single box. Are you effing kidding me psycho? No, he can not go through EVERY single box. I sent him offsite to look in its box, even though I know for a fact it isn't in there. She is constantly losing files and then just writing new ones that say "duplicate" instead of finding the real one. I can't with her today. I'm surprised y'all haven't gone digital yet. I'm not. Half of our firm is retirement age. The attorney involved with the above still forwards emails to the entire firm asking if they are spam or legit. No, some Prince in Egypt doesn't actually want to send you a million dollars, dude.

Do any of your littles have nightmares? Dd keeps waking up while crying ‘no no no’ and slapping us/mid air. So weird. L has been doing this for a while...night terrors I think. He screams out mommy help me but when I go in he's not truly awake. Doesn't remember a thing in the morning LO had them when he was younger. They are not fun. The best thing to do is to leave them be unless they are going to hurt themselves. It’s so sad to listen to them. Big hugs for everyone.

I really thought he would have outgrown them by now...but something I just read said 4-7 is a normal range 😕 Lo’s doctor said he had it abnormally young. He had it for 2 years.

Morning! H is at school and S is playing independently. I’ve been laying on the couch but I should probably get up and start the laundry. Super exciting day here. guster I hope J has a great first day and C doesn’t get too upset he can’t stay. S was mad she couldn’t stay on H’s first day but was fine after that so hopefully C does the same.

nam2013 welcome to the good side! AZ doesn’t do DST and it’s the best. Of course, I’m constantly confused as to what time it is everywhere else. Morning. I’m tired today. C was up and restless all night and I have a lot of unsettling dreams. Not nightmares per day, just not good dreams and the kind where when I woke up I had to talk myself down for a second that they hadn’t actually happened. And C is running a low grade fever. I gave her some Tylenol and am letting her nap right now, and am chalking it up to teething. If it persists throughout the day though I may pop into the ped just to rule out and EI.

I deserve a raise. I found the missing file, in an unmarked box from the printers in our small conf. room. It's been in there for over a year.

School drop off went great. Josie enjoyed her day, and Charlie left with minimal tears. He wanted to play on the playground, but we were stuck in a torrential down pour, so he gave me some trouble buckling him into his seat, settle down quickly. He still thinks it’s his school, and repeatedly said on the drive there and back, “I’m so excited for school! I’m so excited!” Next year, kid. I’m loving this morning half-day routine. We’ve never done it before, so I always felt trapped in the house until school was ready to start at noon for the last two years. This time I feel like we can go home, rest for an hour and then head back out for the afternoon. So much better.

I originally wanted the afternoon, but they only do the childcare with the morning (he does that W, F) and I'm glad now. I may feel differently in the winter though!

peachsmama Your boys need these. Right now they're doing a deal that if you buy a raincoat & an umbrella you get a discount. M has the cupcake rainjacket but I think I'm going to get H a jacket & M the matching umbrella.

Morning, err Afternoon, everyone. guster Glad J had a good day! It's been a hectic morning. I'm back at work and it's a little crazy here. There is a lot happening that has us out of our routine. M2 is a lot better than this weekend, so off to daycare he went. I hope he has a good day. It's about lunch time and I am ready so hopefully I can reset and have a more calm afternoon. Hope everyone has a good day!

Then they come home and nap (when they're still little, that is). Kindergarten in the public schools here is half-day; they're transitioning to full but are making the switch in lower performing schools first. Ours is top-tier so will still likely be half-day next year. We've always had morning school so that is my preference, plus it would work with C's preschool schedule. I am already worrying about this, lol.

The runner was asking me about holidays and how mh split them and such with our families. He then randomly threw in that he was asking because he's getting married tomorrow. Huh? How you just going to casually throw something like that in?

He's a senior in college and just took his LSAT last weekend to go to law school. Seems like a hard time to throw a wedding into the mix.

That raincoat is adorable. I am loving the Monsters one for S but can't justify spending that much on a raincoat...

I will say that it is very durable and she freaking loves it. She had to take it to school today to show her friend. The "other Emma" has the same one.

We have expensive rain coats/rain gear, but it rains al lot (think Seattle) in over here and we don’t have a car. It is lined so we also use it as their ‘in between’ coat, with an extra zip up hoodie underneath on a colder day.

Well, it finally happened.
I've officially lost it completely. My mom is going to take me to the ER because I'm having suicidal ideations. I didn't think my PPD was that bad this time but it's totally out of my control now.
I hope they don't try to lock me up for a few days while they try to figure out how crazy I am.

cagoldi, I'm sorry. Have you been taking anti-depressants or anything of that nature? Some have side effects that lead to that. I hope you are ok and I'm glad you have your mom with you. Everything is going to be ok.
