1) My baby is broken. Why can't she just sleep.
2) Yeah there is no #2 - just go to sleep child (and stay asleep).
Thank goodness there is not much on the docket today - just work then swimming for the big.

Ugh jenn83. Your baby is not alone in not sleeping. E wakes up almost every night at 3:30 and nothing gets him back to sleep except a bottle.

I'm here and feeling exhausted. Since E has been getting up at 3:30 I have not gone on the treadmill this week and I know if I don't get on it soon it will become habit. I have lost 7 pounds since joining WW about a month ago. I don't know from where as everything seems to still fit the same. My mom leaves today for a trip to Scotland. It will be quiet at home. But my mom can be a little bit picky about dinner, so I'm happy I can put very little effort in my dinner menu the next 10 days.

Howdy.
Someone please tell me why I thought it would be a good idea to take away DD1's soothers? Last night was....fun.
Still raining here so I don't plan on doing much. Hopefully naps all around and maybe fold the 5 loads of clean laundry. Maybe.

N continued to be super cranky this morning. I couldn't put him back down after his 5:30 bottle without him screaming. Luckily today wasn't one of H's early days so he could sit with N while I got ready for work. Once I got him out of the sleep sack and ready for the day, N was all smiles. Go figure.
I did notice a small red splotch on his inner thigh. I couldn't tell if it was irritation from his diaper/onesie/sleep sack, or maybe something bit him? By the time we got to daycare it was already going away but they will keep an eye on him. I took his temp and it was normal.
Dude is definitely teething though. If he's still a crankpot tonight, he might get some Tylenol before bed to help him get some relief.

There MUST be an evil plot against mums by 9-10 month old babies with all those terrible sleepers! I want my happy baby back. I used to put her in bed wide awake and she'd just lie there chatting to her teddies until she fell asleep until morning. Now, she cries as soon as I try to leave and I have to pick her back up x times until she's too tired to cry and just gives in. She's supposed to be done with the leap, but she drools so much teeth must be bothering her (I hope!). Last night she woke up at 10 hysterical. Neither of us could calm her down though she normally stops crying instantly as you pick her up. I ended up sitting with her for over an hour. She then slept through the night but the whole thing stressed me out so stayed up until 1 and woke up at 5 Let's just say coffee was had.

Ds2 slept better than he did this weekend and he seems like he got taller. He's been chattier too so I suspect it was a growth spurt/developmental stuff plus hotel this past weekend. He woke up early today so he's about to be going down for a nap. He keeps growling at the cat because the cat keeps walking away from him. 🙄
I'll be organizing the garage and putting away yard stuff when he's sleeping. I would rather do a little bit each day before the storm hits than all last minute. I'm hoping to get my car in the garage too so I may be toy purging too lol.
Coffee to all those with crappy sleep. I hope all your babies are sleeping better asap.

Hi ladies! C is 10 months old today. I can’t believe it. Time is just flying by.
Sorry to all of those with crappy sleep. I highly recommend making your H get up with the baby. Sleep in another room if you can and turn on a fan so you can’t hear anything. At least for a night or two so you can catch up on sleep.

The baby is in our room though so it's not an easy thing to sleep through.

sarahandben108, if only a bottle gets him back to sleep is that a problem? I think it's fairly common for babies to still wake once to eat in the night! DD sleeps well, but wakes once per night to nurse, fine by me. I pad over to her room, feed her for ten minutes with my eyes closed and pad back to my bed, haha. If she doesn't wake up then she wants to start her day at 5, and no thank you to that. Sorry to everyone in the path of the storm grumpycat paperbagliz. I hope it's more mild then projected!

I'm pretty far inland so it shouldn't be too bad here. Fingers crossed. The governor declared a state of emergency over the weekend so people have been going a bit crazy. I've got most of my garage cleared and I'm hoping we can secure the outside climber and geodome under the deck somehow. I want my car safe! It's only a few years old lol.

No a bottle isn't really a problem. I nursed N once in the night until he was a little over a year. It's just the thing that gets him back to sleep most of the time.

Morning All S woke herself (and us) up fussing at 3:45 because she pooped. Then freaked out when I changed her diaper and it took a little while to calm her down. The girls have both had a cold the past few days and have been pooping a ton. Yesterday morning S also woke up early at 5:00 which I later realized was because she had pooped massively. I realized it because when I took off her zipadeezip a couple pieces flew out . One piece landed in DD1's shoe, which had me laughing forever. And then maybe an hour later I realized I had a smear of poop on my arm. Being a mom is just so glamorous. In other news, I have a very short and busy workweek. Yesterday I took off to take my mom in to the hospital for a procedure. Tomorrow my work group is volunteering at a food bank. Thursday I've taken off for my SIL's father's funeral. And Friday is my 9/80 day off. I'm looking forward to my long weekend!

I would be totally fine with one wakeup/nursing sesh per night. I could do that forever! But 2+ wakeups per night just starts to wear me down.

I am full of weird emotions today, and a lot of anger, so I'm trying to steer clear of social media for the most part. I'm reading here but can't adequately put my feelings into words without likely offending some people. But I can say that I am definitely, 100%, ready for this November election to happen.
N was 10 months yesterday. How these babies are almost a year is baffling. He has decided he can stand independently now. Huh, ok, grown ass kid.

+eleventy to the broken baby club, I actually sent that exact text to H last night.
Made cookies with the boys today, luckily A sat in his high chair and was, for the most part, content. Tonight is my MOPS meeting and I'm hoping my energy can make it that late...maybe I can get DS3 to nap with me for a bit. 🤞🏻

I grew up in northern NJ so today is always a bit of an emotional day for me. Someone in my neighborhood put up a campaign sign for my congressional incumbent and it makes me angry every time I see it. So basically, I think I'm right there with you.

Hi, all. Work is pretty busy today. I'm on my lunch break but accidentally reset my timer keeping track of my time clocked out so I have no idea how much time I have left. Oh well, I will just email my boss.
We have DD1's back to school night tonight. We will finally meet her new teacher. She had a sub for the first 2 weeks! I loved her teacher last year so I am hoping this one is good, too. It is just preK but still.

Hi everyone! I haven't checked in in what feels like forever. I finished payroll early so I'm rewarding myself by getting caught up. Still waiting for one of the two top teeth to poke through, they are sooo close. He's a crawling machine which means I've come to notice just how dirty my floors are. Got everything scrubbed this weekend so it will be clean for about a day since I have 3 dogs lol.

So as of right now our mandatory evacuation was rescinded, which is good. We’ll continue to watch the forecasted path, but I think we’ll be ok to wait it out at home!
