tgrimes I hear you. H called his dad the other day and found out he had had surgery that day and driven himself to and from the hospital which is not even in the same state he lives in.

Hi! Sorry to just be checking back in. I was high tailing it from Birmingham before rush hour traffic.
They told me that his new upper respiratory infection is causing his ear infection to be worse than should and that is the reason for the swelling and his crankiness. I basically have to keep doing what I’ve been doing and wait it out and he should be better in a few days. I’m glad it’s nothing major, but man I feel like I wasted my day on what the pedi should have been able to tell me. But I get it that she wanted to be sure. Better safe than sorry. He has to have a follow up Thursday or Friday with the pedi. He seems to be doing better mood wise today, so we’ll see how he fares overnight. I told work I’ll be in late tomorrow, but if he doesn’t seem a lot better, I’ll call in again.

wedding is This the crayfish cook out? Because then I’m jealous! I don’t know what a crayfish is?... I’m assuming it’s the same as a crawfish, which is basically something that resembles a shrimp. It’s used a lot in the south and in Cajun cooking. Crawfish boils are a big thing. Potatoes, sausage, corn & crawfish with a bunch of spices. You have to peal the crawfish and it takes freaking forever.  |

I’m glad it’s nothing big lahdeedah but boo for the wasted day! cagoldi wow! That’s intense. How are you feeling? I have anxiety just thinking about what she would say. TW: abuse talk Also I know we talked about our commonality in being in past abusive relationships and this past week I’ve been a mess. A guy yelled at me at work and I just crumbled. I just went blank and pale basically and I could hardly squeak out a response to the guy that yelled at me and just felt totally helpless. I’ve been off ever since it happened but realized just now when you mentioned the past abuse that this encounter has triggered my anxiety badly the past week. So thank you for sharing that piece again. I feel relieved a bit just knowing what the trigger was. |

The crappy weather caused tomorrow’s cookout to be postponed so I am using my flex time and taking a personal day tomorrow. I am so excited to have a day to breathe.

The boys had swim lessons tonight after a 2 week break. They did great. But J's instructor had to ask a girl to leave though. She would not listen and nearly drowned herself. 4 times. I mean there were 2 life guards standing by her because she just kept leaping into the water.. I almost jumped in at one point. Terrifying.

The braces went well today. I told the teacher at p/u my concerns about Cadence being picked on and her teacher was like, "oh heck no. She was showing everyone her new shoes and kitty braces".
So, I'm more relaxed about it.

Your mom sucks ass tgrimes. Ugh! I’m so frustrated for you. My dad pulled some shit a few years ago where he thought he had a heart attack and didn’t tell anyone but the Dr left a voicemail with his test results so we found out. He also hid melanoma from me. Now I go through his prescription drawer every few months because I don’t trust him to tell us. I’m lucky I’m here to do that. I’m sorry you are dealing with this. I hope he’s ok. |

Well, both the scratching and the heat will make it worse. I'd try to convince him to wear shorts, so it breaths better. Have you tried anything kind of bath to help it clear up? Or any creams? Or an antihistamine/benadryl? We have a prescription for the rash plus special lotion Not sure how well it works for heat rash but the only thing that has consistently helped with X's eczema has been LUSH Dream Cream. |

Hi hi - we arrived at our rental on the cape and it's pretty small and older, BUT the town seems legit...the house 2 doors down has a private grass tennis court😂, so I think we are spot on for good location. It rained the whole way here so we haven't explored at all, hoping we are pleased tomorrow.
I'm worried about the hurricane, it is sounding so brutal. Hoping it loses steam before it makes landfall for the mid Atlantic's sake. I'm sure my area will have some impacts, but the Carolinas look pretty bleak.

So in school today, M’s class talked about being unique and different. When I got home he tells me about what unique means and he then he tells me that he looks like Dad and M2 looks like me.
Me: Why do you think you look like Daddy?
M: Because my face is brown and daddy’s face is brown.
Me: Well what color is my face?
M: WHITE! 😂😂😂😂
I know I’ve lost my sun-kissed glow and can be pretty pale, but damn. This kid cracks me up. I got a good laugh out of that one.

Enjoy your trip tallb! Glad things went ok with the braces today klong11. I am confident C will continue to rock them  We started watching Churchill's Secret Agents tonight on Netflix, really interesting! Guess if we don't make it to FL this week and have some time on our hands, that is what we'll be bingeing. All the schools here are closed tomorrow thru Thursday, at least, as waterfront areas have been issued mandatory evacuation notices, so I am hoping we can head south. |
