We have an event this morning at work so I have to go in early and set up breakfast. Then we are shopping this afternoon for our annual cookout tomorrow. I also have a ton of work to do and am out of town for or Work retreat Wednesday through Friday, which I’m also planning, so I have all sorts of anxiety this morning. Two weeks til Disney.

Morning. I need to get up dd in two minutes to pick up ds from school (which is a shame ‘cause normally she’ll sleep till 2) & than decide what we’re going to do this afternoon. I spend a sh*tload of money yesterday to get the kids some clothes for the colder season, can’t wait for them to get here  . |

Morning! C has been up since 4:50 and is currently doing play-doh. She has her first day of preschool today so I feel kind of terrible taking her knowing she's going to be exhausted. I guess I'll just tell them to call me if she's a mess. I'm sure in true Boss Lady form she will be delightful for them. The Lilly sale starts this morning so I guess I will stalk that today while the kids are in school. I have been hemorrhaging money lately so after today I'm done for a bit  |

flamingo I hope C does great today! I have another chiro appt at 8:45 this morning, so I slept in a bit and will drop evie at preschool before that, then work. H left this morning for the week for work, so Netflix for me all week!

Morning!
Just finished having breakfast with N... now we need to get ready for school.
He did finally open up to me last night that he’s upset his best bud D moved away. He said now he doesn’t have a best bud and he needs D to go to school.
I feel terrible for him, we didn’t know they were leaving or I would have talked about it over the summer with him. But it’s a little weight off my shoulders knowing one of the things bothering him.

Morning. I'm working from home SORT OF because I have a late telephone call but really because Colin has no school today. DH is here and I know Colin would behave, but I feel better about being here too, knowing just how little attention DH will pay him. Colin could have gone to daycare but he's one of the few kindergarteners in the school-aged class and is a bit intimidated. Since he wanted to stay home and they charge by the hour for anything beyond typical before/after school hours, it just made sense. We're only saving about $300 a month right now since Chase's rate bumped up with the new school year, so we're going to keep Colin home on random days off as long as he's willing. Chase's rate will go down another $200-300 once he PTs and is old enough to move to a preschool class, but that's not for another 4-6 months at the minimum. So yeah, daycare still owns us. Sigh.
Anyhow yesterday was a complete cluster with the murphy bed installation. It took AGES plus it turns out my FIL somehow mismeasured and none of the pieces fit, so they didn't get nearly as much done as planned. He's such a paradox - he plans everything down to the smallest detail and will redo a job 12 times to make sure it's perfect. But he'll also make a billion careless mistakes in the process. I remind DH all the time that this is exactly why I didn't want to buy a fixer upper in the first place. And also that we're going to hire out the deck and the bathroom reno - we wouldn't save enough money to make up for the headache that would come from him and his Dad doing any of it!!

Everyone is home today and tomorrow. I’m so happy! We just pulled out chutes and ladders. Charlie’s too little but we let him spin and he thinks he’s playing.

It was so cold last night.MH bought me a weighted blanket right before the summer started and I used it last night. It is just the best to keep warm.

It's rainy, dreary, and gross today. I feel like crap. My sinuses are jacked because of the rain and my stomach is still trying to decide if it wants to revolt the day or not.
I really just want to go back to sleep. I had to stay up late because my duvet wasn't dry all the way, so I stayed up waiting for it. It was super nice when it finished drying though.

Morning, lovelies.
It’s rainy and dreary here as well but the kids were good getting out of the house and the bus driver today is all smiles and welcoming people on the bus like when you board an airplane, it’s definitely a good way to start the day. I should call in a compliment for this guy.

Today is Cadence's first day of wearing her braces to school. She will just wear them until nap time, then change into her regular shoes. Then next week she will wear them all day. I'm just concerned about how the other kids with react. She doesn't care about them, puts them on, knows they are to stop her tippy toe walk and is just whatever about them. I don't want that to change by something another kid says, you know?

@klongoria my nephew (4 months younger than ours) had braces for the exact same reason C has them, other kids thought they were soooo cool!

klong11, I was going to say what nam2013 said, I think the kids will probably think it's cool. Especially if she walks in confidently. S would probably decide she had some superpowers and that's why she wore them and come home asking to get his own braces!

Morning. H is at school and S & I are hanging at home. I want to go check out Kirkland’s to see if I can find a new fall wreath, the one I have is super old and I’m ready for something different. I also need a new doormat because my old one is looking rough. I should work on a meal plan for this week and go grocery shopping but I’m not in the mood for it right now. It may actually get up to 80 today after being in the low/mid 70s last week. I think we will probably go to the park this afternoon. mamabear I’m sorry for your loss |

Drop-off was a success! C insisted on carrying her own backpack and walked in like she owned the place. After I helped her wash her hands she immediately sat down to play, and didn’t even notice me leave. I think our problem is going to be that she’ll want to go more than once a week! AW ahead:   |

N has her first day of preschool today. It ended with us both crying, ugh. I went in with her because it was the first day, but we’ve never had this issue when we do car drop offs so hopefully it will be fine Wednesday. She was so exited before we went!  It’s also the first day of gymnastics so we’ll head there after work then book it back for my BILs 40th birthday party tonight. |
