king26 After your post, I just realized that's what I do with baby H. He still gets a night time bottle (I know, lol) and then I stand up and rock him and sing his special good night song, and then put him in the crib completely awake at the end. He shockingly snuggles down and goes to sleep. Maybe there is some magic to standing, swaying, and singing. But that would NEVER work with DS1. We tried sleepy but awake so many times with him that I swore it was a myth until baby H did it for the first time. We will get there eventually I guess. I still give J a night time bottle too. He likes it, I like it, so it happens. He gets milk in a cup during the day but morning milk and bedtime milk are in a bottle. Oh well.

@starzia no we stopped them around 6mo. He never seemed to have an issue with it again and stopped throwing up so we just finished the bottle and didn’t get a refill 🤷🏻♀️
Bedtime is already at 9pm. We cherish that hour / 1.5h to get all our shit done. We’ve consolidated him down to one nap from 1-3. He’s up between 8-9am. And bedtime is 9-9:15. He won’t go more than 4-5h in the morning, and when we let him sleep til 3:30 he would be adamant about being up six hours til 9:30, so we made 3p the hard and fast rule.
And I feel bad that he still eats MOTN. he does like 2-3oz so I don’t think he needs it, but I offer it when he won’t fall back asleep easily c it usually helps him calm down and then fall asleep after a snack. I know. I’m the worst.

jt2378 hah! Good point! The worst is I don’t hate the snuggles half the time. But half the time I’m so over it. I contradict myself hourly 😂

addymac not the worst. I feed j once motn every night. I like the snuggles. 90 percent of the time he goes right back to sleep so it's no big deal for me

Baby H is still not walking at 13 months. I'm not worried--it's just funny bc his brother walked at 12 months one week and dh swore baby H would walk sooner. He'll stand for a good 20 seconds, but just can't bring himself to step. His knees are red at the end of the day from all the crawling.
Anyone else baby still not walking?

He has been cruising for 2 months, stands long periods of time, but refuses to take a step. He also runs with his push Walker but won't step on his own. The pedi said 14 months is average so we are good

R doesn’t walk yet. She can cruise and can balance when standing. I thought she’d walk soon, but I don’t know.
T didn’t walk until 16 months. But, she started right after she figured out how to get to a standing position on her own.

D has been walking for about a month orso now - I love it but at the same time 😭😭 my baby girl is no longer a baby!
As quick as she is with motory stuff so slow she seems with talking! She will say mama 😍😊 and something resembling papa and will say JA! (Yes) but the rest is just all still garbled together syllabels (spelling?). I dont exactly know when they are supposed to really start saying more words but am not worried yet... Should I be? Lol

muscari, I told my pediatrician baby h was saying hi, mama, dada, and Ace, and she said he was advanced, so I think D is doing great!! bsouls Baby H just started standing up in the middle of the floor this week, so I think he's close.

Ohh and MH and I both felt like she was saying (something resembling) her name and "hap" (another bite) the other night while having dinner. We both heard it seperate from eachother so maybe?? jt2378 Yeah D. babbles our ears off at times so on that one, definitely not worried either heh thinkchocolate05 that's good to know! Our 1y appointment is next Thursday, so hopefully the pedi agrees hah

A is not walking either. He doesn’t stand by himself yet or like to walk while holding his hands for long. I’m trying to be patient.
He’s got 4 teeth pushing through right now and is insane. But, he napped in his crib for the first time ever! A little over 2 hours. I’m so excited. Of course, we won’t be home most of the day today, so I hope it doesn’t mess with the little progress we made.

@easilyunamused aww poor A for having multiple teeth come through at once. D pretty much seems to get them 2 at a time, but now with her molars pushing through I swear there's at least 3 and possibly 4 coming through at once. No wonder she's one cranky mess so often atm!

That’s so awesome! Happy Anniversary! My MIL will be watching the monitor for us next Thursday for our 5 year wedding anniversary too. But we have nothing too exciting planned.

So DS came down with a cold on Wed. I took L to her 1 yr check up that day and she got 4 vaccines which have had her cranky/a touch fevery. Then yesterday morning I took them for a walk and she got all bit up by mosquitoes on her head. She’s been scratching it so bad she’s drawn blood. Also getting at least 2 teeth.
Now she has the same cold, but worse. I’ve already been up with her 4 times since putting her down at 8. She is so snotty sounding, screaming her head off and then puked all over me the last time she was awake. I have her sleeping on my chest now. I feel awful for her.
But there’s not a lot else I can do- I dosed her with Motrin, put baby Vick’s rub on her chest/feet, have the humidifier going. Ugh.

pennylane, oh man, I'm so sorry. that sounds rough. I hope she feels better soon. and DH too haha happyfeet9, that's AWESOME! muscari, jt2378, yeah N doesn't say like any real words but he babbles a lot. he will say mama every now and then but that's about it. I'm not worried but at his 1y the dr was like let's get a hearing screen to rule out hearing issues. I was like and DH keeps wanting to cancel it - i've rescheduled it twice but I feel like the dr will scold me at our 15mo appointment if I don't go. and also what if there IS an issue. but really i think he hears just fine, he's not even really delayed at this point... bsouls, @easilyunamused, I don't think it's a big deal that theyre not walking yet. it's a range! my good friend's daughter didn't walk til almost 16mo. and while that is late, one day she just stood up and walked and everyone was like wait what? b/c she would just scoot around or scream until someone picked her up. Then she just.. walked. muscari, @easilyunamused, i think N's molars are coming in. kiddo has had a fever on and off all week and now he has a runny nose and cold but he was drooling everywhere and i was like what?? You haven't drooled like this in MONTHS! poor kiddos.

I’m do glad she’s on the mend, pennylane. I’m really not looking forward to cold and flu season. addymac, take N! Better to hear that he’s fine, then to worry about it. A says ball, dada and trying to say book & duck. Absolutely refuses to call me mama. lol he also blew a kiss to a friend yesterday. Idk where he got that from!

addymac R just babbles mama, dada and neinei. Sometimes she’ll look at us and say the right thing, but it’s nothing that I’m positive she’s saying. I think now a days they send them for testing to rule anything out. I think at T’s 3 year appointment she was referred to an eye doctor because her doctor wasn’t sure if an eye strayed - there was nothing wrong.

bsouls ,@easilyunamused, yall are right. I just partly keep rescheduling bc they schedule me for times that are crappy - like 8am - N wakes up between 8-9 so why do I wanna wake him up early and fuck his schedule, or at 3p - he naps from 1-3, since we're working on STTN and CIO. I need to find a time that works on my day off and not his nap time. I'll take him. I keep thinking better safe than sorry but then I am dumb. I'll reschedule it on monday.

addymac, I honestly hadn’t even thought about a hearing test because she isn’t saying much. My dr wasn’t concerned but they do a 14 month instead of 15 so we see her again in like a month and wonder if she will ask then and if she still isn’t saying much, recommend something like that.
