You could also just wear it open kind of like a cardigan. I tried that, too, but felt like a lesbian trucker. Lol

Finished meal planning and grocery shopping. Waiting in the drive thru for our lunch. I should do a target run but LO is not really listening so I don’t think I can do another shopping trip alone with both kids. Try bribery 😜.

Still so cold. I making a big pot of veggie chili and hoping the kids will sit down soon to watch Jumanji. We watched Wreck it Ralph yesterday (so cute), but Josie is still so weird about the idea of a movie that she screamed, yelled, cried and hid through at least half of it. OMG we need to get her and Colin together soon! They sound like a perfect, neurotic pair!!

My FIL arrived 2 hours late and as usual, is working at his own pace. I have Chase's white noise machine blaring and a mattress against his door to try to drown out the sound of hammering and drilling across the hall. We were trying to wait them out but by 3, I had to put him down. He was a wreck!
Now Colin and I are watching football while they bang around above us. This is never going to end!!

I ended up taking her out to tj maxx with me so she could take a little break from the anticipation of the anxiety she was dealing with, but we’re all cozied up on the couch now ready to start it.

It’s fine guys. Sort of. It’s forcing me to make a decision I should have done years ago. I love the fact you all have my back. Once I know what I’m going to do I’ll let you all know. There are a few options but I have to discuss with C to really make the best decision. Honestly because she is who she is, i retract my previous post to say that I wouldn’t say anything. It’s not your style, but make sure you do a couple of these to get her a little on edge. Fuck with her a litte.

Julia woke up from her nap, grabbed her swimsuit and was walking around the house yelling ‘swimming’; so we’re all packed in the car heading to the pool.
Clearly she’s the decisive one, aka the Queen, over here 🤷♀️

He wants the bribe upfront but then doesn’t follow through. If I don’t give him it up front he wines the whole time. I don’t need the target items until Friday. Hoping C takes them one evening so I can do a solo target run.

Also C and I went for a walk and I stupidly invited DH. He sighs and bitches and almost every time yells at C for playing too close to the road. I don’t know why he comes and why I keep inviting him.

So we've got this hurricane headed this way, which means our trip to FL is probably off. We were supposed to fly out Friday, but that will likely be cancelled and obviously can't drive. I am bummed, we had such a fun weekend with my sister planned. Hopefully we can go in October. I feel like hurricanes screw up my plans every fall (or the Navy is affected by a hurricane, thus screwing up my plans). #eastcoastlife #FWP

flamingo pics! chrisy01 that is beyond ridiculous, such a slap in the face. I’m so sorry. cagoldi glad you guys had a great time!!! Here it is. I like it, it’s just a bit more ‘cool’ than what the samples and actual paint led me to think (color is more accurate to 2nd pic). I’m contemplating getting some of the dark wax and doing a test patch on the back to see if that would warm it up a bit. This is the mirror I’m ordering to go above.

Hi.
Long day. M2 is still very cranky and whiny for the most part and slept horribly last night. Not much sleep for me either. He started oral antibiotics today so hopefully he is feeling better overnight.
The neighbors asked if M could play over at their house and I basically pushed him out of the door. I feel bad because all I do is lose my temper with him these days. I think I need some one on one time with him soon because he is clearly wanting my attention. Probably won’t have the chance until two weekends from now.

flamingo that looks great! So I guess I'm a helicopter mom. I was out front this afternoon and evie had been with me. She went inside to change her shirt because I got her wet with the hose and I went in the garage to get soil to plant a mum. When I came out, there was a girl in the driveway, evies size, and she asked if she could play with the 'little girl.' I asked her where she lived and she pointed across the street. Asked her name and age. Evie came out and we decided to go for a walk around our neighborhood. I told the other girl, to make sure it was okay with her parents. Evie and i walked over there and she said her parents said it was fine. Her dad was mowing so I loudly introduced myself and he told me his name and we went on a walk. When we got back, other girl came to our house, played in the backyard, then came in and helped herself to a snack and her and evie played. Im glad my kid will finally play with other kids and not be shy. But is it weird that her parents, who we have lived across from for 3 years, but never met, never came to check on her? I don't think id let evie go into someones house the first time she met them, if i wasn't there. Or even knew their names...

I am definitely not a helicopter mom, and I do not think o would do this for countless reasons. I mean aside from the fact that you are a stranger and could be a psychopath, the kid basically invited her lately over and they just said sure! What if it was an imposition? What of you had meth cooking in the kitchen? I mean, I’d at least come over with her and maybe try to make plans for the kid to play another time You said she was Evies size, but I know she’s tall for her age. How old was this kid?

You have a very friendly face, maybe they just assumed you're a safe bet, lol.

I’m laughing at the meth comment too.
Now that O takes the bus to school with the other kids on our block he is becoming friends with a boy across the street in 1st grade. They’ve played together before but not very often. Now they see each other every morning. This weekend the boy came over twice to play with O. I’m excited for him to have a friend on the block that they can go ring each other’s door bell to play and ride bikes together, etc. Plus he fights with his sister less if he has a playmate.

The other kid is in 1st grade, so 2 years older. It struck me and H as odd. Fortunately, there was no meth cooking at the time she came in.
And LOL to me having a friendly face. The entire time i was thinking how annoying other peoples kids are.
I mean, she asked if she could have dinner with us.

mwhip maybe she’s a 4th child. My 11 year old has only been at 2 friend’s houses without me. DD has been at more. By the time C is in first grade, I will have been doing this parenting thing for 18 years. I will probably be like “C go make a friend whose mom will let you stay for dinner.”

That is strange mwhip. I don’t think that makes you a helicopter mom. It’s just you making sure you are comfortable with where you let your kid spend her time. I think that’s basic parenting 101.

mwhip that is so strange that they have never made any effort in 3 years and then barely give you the time of day when you take their kid around the neighborhood. But did you ever talk to the mom or just the dad? I feel like dad's might be oblivious to meth houses
