CD 6 here. Still spotting so hopefully AF ends soon. Last month was a luteal phase of only 7 days. No spotting before AF which is an improvement but I need to stretch that luteal phase out. I made an appt to talk to the OB after our trip to Vegas in August. I'm just going to relax until then and see what happens. Still using opks and temping though (so I guess I'm not really relaxing).

We have set our FET date for August 9. I go for blood work July 3 and if all looks good, start provera that day too. I have my baseline ultrasound July 17. It's nice to have our plan and a much lower cost this time around.

Well, I ovulated thru the estrogen so the mock transfer cycle is a bust! Boo My doc wants me to restart the mock using Lupron (boo again!) but seeing that it costs so much, we've decided to wait til my husband finds a new job. He got laid off a couple months ago and we thought this would be a "cheap" venture...leave it to my body to F things up. Oh well, it's a message from the universe to take our time. Hopefully, we'll be able to do another mock in August with transfer in September. Question though...I'm thinking I ovulated thru the estrogen b/c they didn't get me started on it til CD 2 whereas during, IVF, I was on it for about least a week before CD1. Any thoughts? My doc's office has gotten exponentially more busy since we did IVF 2 years ago... I hope I'm still getting the care I used to!

westiemom Can I join? I just made it over here from the other site. So much drama! We are planning to do a FET of our last embryo sometime this summer/fall. I'm not exactly sure when. My OB told me to wait at least 1 year after giving birth to twins, and my RE said I had to be fully weaned from breastfeeding/pumping. My twins turned one last week and I pumped for what I think was the last time last week. So time to start again! I need to call my RE... I'm anticipating a testing cycle, and then if anything crops up as a problem we'd have to treat it, but otherwise we can jump right to transfer. I have no idea what the protocol is for a FET - does it just take one cycle? I don't have to go on BCPs like I did for my fresh cycle, right? I don't know anything. kristip good luck with transfer!! scrang what is a mock transfer? Why would that be necessary before the actual transfer?

moto, This is what I understand so far. You take the meds to make sure your body responds properly, and do a "pretend" transfer so they figure out the right size equipment and see what my uterus is up to. I've now learned the biggest piece of info they're looking for is timing the progesterone properly. But I also had some diagnostics done since it's been a while - bloodwork on Cd3, had a saline u/s on Cd 10, lining check on Cd 17 (part of the mock cycle), and have the endometrial biopsy this week on Cd23. Plus they found out my TSH had skyrocketed again and the Synthroid takes a full month to bring it back down! Ugh. My doc recommended we do it since we only have one embie...he said he wanted all factors to be perfect. Maybe since you've already done a transfer, they have enough info and you don't need it?? Our daughter was a surprise natural pregnancy, so I haven't done a transfer yet. I'm still not 100% on understanding why it's super necessary, but we decided to follow his advice. I mean if I ovulate thru the estrogen, we just cancel and when you do transfer, you start the progesterone right away anyways, right?? It's all so confusing, especially when your doc is in and out in a few minutes or you have to see a partner who has no idea who you are. ???

I guess I'm officially here now. First pp period started last week, currently spotting on CD6. We're going to try on our own til Halloween/November then call the RE about IUI. We got lucky with A on the first IUI last time.

moto welcome & congrats on making it to a full year of EP! The mock is to do a trial run and make sure all looks good before they actually thaw the embryo. They take notes from what they see and use those notes for the actual transfer. You want to get a second mock done even if you had one before because pregnancy & birth can change things in the uterus. Especially c section, I guess the scar can affect how easy the embryo can be put in per my ob (I had a c-sect) Not much going on over here at the moment. My daughter turned 11 months last weekend. We are working on very slowly weaning. I have my saline ultrasound scheduled for mid July and we will do the FET class in August. Current plan is to start meds in Sept for an Oct transfer I think. My daughter will need to be weaned before I start meds too
