My sister is turning 30 in November. My other sister and I were thinking spa day and dinner, but I was also thinking that I could be fun to make a sort of advent style calendar counting down 30 days before her birthday. I want to hang it up like a banner, so no wine etc. Any ideas on what to put in?

vino too cute! xolastunicornxo glad it’s over but sorry that the greedy sob’s got more $$. I just had lunch with my parents. Now going for a pedicure while my mom keeps S occupied.

Ohhh, and for the (probably only 2) people on this board that knows what a snacker is...her is S enjoying her first snacker. She loved it. And went back for many more!   |

Earrings, (really any kind of jewelry), nail polish, a couple favorite bags of tea, little box of chocolates, cute little figurine, votive candles, lipstick or Chapstick, magnet for her fridge, small bottle of perfume. You could even do little silly things like a note, a sticker, a rock you paint or write on. I’m going to think on this more. |

*Sigh* I just got a call from Madison's school. She apparently wrote a fake note that she is not supposed to go to her after-care (which she dislikes) and is supposed to ride the bus home. So she's already writing fake notes. :/ I know she's not doing this maliciously but only because she really doesn't want to go and obviously needs to be told that's not appropriate. I wish I worked closer because I'd just pick her up. I might still go and do it.

That's hilarious inthekitty. Also, LOL that she had the wherewithal to think up an excuse for the poor penmanship, and chalked it up to dear old dad being 'half-blind'. B and I swam this afternoon--I'm still getting used to the newly deep blue color, but one benefit is that it heats up nicely! This time last year with the light liner it was already getting too cool to swim in despite really warm days. I had to make another run to the shop where I bought the chalk paint, but I think I finally nailed the color, so I started that today. Project: Entry Hall Makeover has begun. We just finished dinner and I think I'll do some more work on that until it's time for him to hit the hay. |

flamingo, Exciting new project. Share some details! Do you do before and after pictures for your own personal portfolio? Well, it’s not terribly exciting but I do take pics for potential future use  We have a typical ranch floor plan with a long narrow entry hall, and the little chest, runner and accessories I’ve had in there are odds and ends from past houses. I just want to freshen things up. Im trying to repurpose the chest bc it’s the perfect fit for the wall. So we’ll see...! |
