My four month old has had an excema looking rash on his belly, diaper area and thighs for a few weeks now. I've cut out dairy and gluten and have been using aquaphor to try to relieve the symptoms. I got a dairy free probiotic for him as well. We have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday to talk to the doctor about it. Is there anything I'm missing or can do. I feel so bad about it. I need to get another jar of waxelene. We ran out so I switched to the Aquaphor.

Dairy (protein intolerance) only reacts as eczema in approx 10% of people according to my pediatrician. We cut it out to test with the baby because LO had a dairy intolerance when he was younger. But it didn't do any good. Try cutting out all eggs that is a higher possibility and get some Cerve moisturizing cream and use it at least twice a day. This is the kind you want: www.amazon.com/dp/B001V9SXXU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6pVrzbY6J7RGVAlso, use hydrocortisone on the eczema twice a day for a few days. Good luck, we've been dealing with it and it is no fun and eggs ended up being his trigger.

We also really like the honest healing balm. It really helps Z's eczema when it flares (no obvious trigger yet, besides dry air)

We've seen a pediatric dermatologist and allergist for our baby's eczema and they both said it is very rarely attributable to food or environmental allergies. There are no known triggers for my guy's flare-ups.
We use a steroid cream regularly but other than that Glaxal Base with a coat of Aquaphor on top is what works the best for him.

Any chance it's related to detergent, lotion, or baby wipes? Nugget had some mild eczema as a 1-2 month old which we finally figured out was due to the wipes we were using.
