I had a very difficult time motivating myself to do any actual work today. So I didn't. My Cwer forwarded me some emails about things happening behind my back and I'm about to go nuclear.

Hi!
I was supposed to wfh. We started job shadowing. But Livs check up was today. MH took her instead because I had to go in the office. To learn to do work I don't have accesses for yet. I'm very frustrated.
But we're lazy and it's hot, I left on time today and we went out to eat. We love to go to a local pho place because our food is out so quickly and we both love pho. DD1 eats it too which is a win!
In two weeks we'll be packing the car to go on vacation to Cape Cod. I'm so excited. I need a break so badly.

Well I was diagnosed with postpartum anxiety today. Cutting down on Reglan just wasn't enough. DH doesn't want me medicated and wants to try other options (counseling, diet/exercise changes). I don't know what to do.

I don't know what to do. Ultimately it’s your body your choice. If it were me I’d ask him to explain why he doesn’t want you medicated. If he can give legitimate reasons and you are comfortable holding off on meds I would set a timeline/deadline for yourself so that if things aren’t better you make sure you get whatever help you need even if that means meds.

bassa kbwDH is really into health/fitness type podcasts lately and also I'm on a seizure medication that may have interaction. But he said he'd be for it if it's needed short term. Does PPA clear itself up? Would ending breastfeeding do anything?

Does PPA clear itself up? Would ending breastfeeding do anything? Ah, I see. Conflicting medications is something to consider. In my case, my anxiety with DD1 cleared itself up around 8 months. I didn’t take medication, but in hindsight I can’t say that was necessarily a good thing. I think it cleared when it did because we moved from a tiny city basement apartment to a bigger house in the suburbs with trees and grass and space, and everything just started to feel better. Anyway my anecdote is probably not helpful. I hope you find something (medication or otherwise) that helps you soon!

Does anyone have any experience in treating anxiety with counseling? I'm trying to decide to go that or the medication route for my PPA. Feel free to PM me your experience or any advice.

We have family in the Vineyard so we're planning to take the ferry over. Is it feasible to consider walking? I don't want to pay for the car!

I don't have any personal experience, but it is my understanding that PPA is something that is best treated by medication and counseling as a combination. I understand the worry about the mixing of medication, but your doctors should be able to advise if the medications will mix correctly. I mean this in the nicest way possible but if your doctor recommends medication I would trust your doctor over information that your DH gets on podcasts. I truly mean no shade there- I know there is a lot of good information out there and everyone has their own comfort level! Just I, personally, think PPA is something that your doctor would have a better understanding of. Huge hugs- and we are all here for you! It is hard to go in and ask for help, and major props to you for doing so. <3

I think weekly over monthly. Clearly not enough action for daily Randoms anymore, but monthly seems extreme.
