SO just gave me the go ahead to paint l the walls this week. It’s currently a flat pink/brown like color. Gross. Especially gross, because it can barely be cleaned.
I’m looking for something light, possibly in the greige ish family. The carpet is currently shit brown carpet that is coming up in a few weeks, so not really a consideration. We also live in the mountains and have kind of a rustic aesthetic. Think big brown leather couch and chair, wood trim, big stone fireplace etc.
Spam me with inspiration.

We did most of the house agreeable gray by Sherwin Williams and we’ve been very happy. It plays well off of gray, tan, gold, silver, bronze, brown, basically anything.

I like a creamy but cool off white in a rustic space. I don’t know what colors these are, but I like the look.

If you go with a greige I would err on the warmer side, b/c of your brown-toned leather and wood trim; too cool and it will be clashy.
Ben Moore's historical collection is one of my go-to's. Carrington Beige, Elmira White, Grant Beige, Revere Pewter, Edgecomb Gray are a few of my favorites in varying greige shades. eta: Shaker Beige is another good one on the warmer side.
I would take a look at the stonework and maybe try and pull out a shade, then essentially find the lighter version.

We painted our master Edgecomb gray and are really happy with it. We’re going to paint our downstairs living room the same color. I also love revere pewter but I think it would have been too dark for our space.

I would caution you to absolutely do test patches with greige bc it's one of those for families that reads completely differently in every room. We had a realtor recommend a particular SW greige and, once we got it on the walks, it looked like someone murdered a shark in wet concrete and then painted the walks with it. It was legit like a holding cell. We called it Gitmo Gray.

We are painting our house this week and also have a rustic interior. This is the paint we chose, I did a swatch of a couple of choices and looked at them over different lights throughout the day . It's a warm grey with slight green and beige undertones. www.dulux.co.uk/en/colour-details/dusted-moss-2

Do you have a paint deck? Or can the paint store loan you one? I would pick up a color from the stone fireplace that you like. Using the paint deck will help you get the right shade/tone. Our whole down stairs is is painted Whitestone by Benjamin Moore. What are replacing the carpet with? Floor color will change the color of the paint too. We have an open floor plan with lots of windows and Whitestone looks different on every wall, I like it.

This is what we did as well, in all main rooms and hallways. It looks really nice and goes well with a lot of different decor options.

We basically live in a cave (too many trees to let a lot of light in), so I’m thinking something brighter without being white, to offset the dark. The floor is going to be painted subfloor for a year with rugs until we can afford to do some major joist work, so color is tbt. Picking hues out of the fireplace is awesome advice.

We haven’t decided yet. We need to figure out what to do with the children for a few days while we do it, so we’re kind of on hold. We’re probably going to do a base Killz primer, because snow, so it will probably be paint of some sort. We basically need to tear our house down, so, it’s whatever is cheapest and looks “nice” until we pay our mortgage off in 8 years or ditch the house all together and buy something we don’t have to tear down to the foundation and one wall.

We just did Edgecomb Gray in most of our living space and I love it! It’s a warmer greige. Lighter than Revere Pewter.

Look at Benjamin Moore ‘Collingwood’. It’s a beautiful warmish grey. I’m mobile and can’t post a pic but I’ve painted my office this colour and been really happy with it.

I forgot to add, we also have a big brown leather couch, heavy brown wood furniture. The Edgecomb Gray complimented it really well.

We painted our tiny 1950s bathroom with no natural light this color. I love the color but chose it because it has some greenish undertones and we have original green linoleum on that floor. I’m happy with how it has turned out.

I also love revere pewter but I think it would have been too dark for our space. This looks great in my bright kitchen, but way too dark in my den, where it had slightly less white and dark furniture. For that room, I repainted it classic gray (BM) and it was perfect. Not too gray, it too beige.

Yes in my house I like the Edgecomb in bright daylight but hate it in the darker areas of my house. My foyer/stairs are currently Edgecomb but I'm getting ready to repaint because I dislike it more often than I like it. I also think it looks real tan without natural sunlight.
I love the revere pewter in my living room. I also used Heron White in my upstairs hallway with Extra White trim and I love that combo. A bit cooler than warmer.

We’ve done Sherwin Williams “City Loft” throughout our house and it’s a really nice, light, neutral grey. We have beige furniture and it goes perfectly.

We have Behr wheat bread throughout our main living spaces in an old house with dark wood trim. It is closer to beige than gray but definitely changes as the natural light changes throughout the day. I love it.
