When I was pregnant with DD I had a teacher at my school ask me of it was twins when I was like 7 months. She was really young so I tried to be nice. But seriously 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
When we called my inlaws about this pregnancy my FIL's first response was "did you plan it?" I was speechless and livid. I really wanted to call him out about it but DH talked me down.

All that to say people say the most stupid stuff to pregnant people. I don't know why.

People definitely just don't know what to say I think. We told my grandparents today and my grandpa asked if we planned this one too. He meant well and I wasn't really offended but it just makes me want to scream WE HAD 3 LOSSES IN 9 MONTHS. YES WE PLANNED THIS ONE. Instead I just nod.
I never understand that question anyways. Does it matter?

Props to anyone able to look at or eat poultry. If I even see it, I'm done for. It's like the most revolting thing I can imagine. I’m way behind on catching up but with DD I was 100% steak or hamburgers we had to go out to eat for MH to get chicken I couldn’t handle it in the house

Well I got t-boned while driving to work today. They were pulling out of a driveway, so at least they weren't going full speed. I went in for an ultrasound and baby was kicking and hiccuping away. I have my NT scan on Friday and the OB office wants to see me again Friday after the OB scan to follow up. I am just glad baby looks good. Of course I have heard horror stories about baby looking good after an accident but being gone a few days later. But it was on the passenger side, not my side and the ob office seemed like I looked fine. Car is fucked, which sucks because it was a 1992 that I was emotionally attached to, but oh well. Oh my gosh! Scary! I’m glad your okay!!

With DD, there weren't a ton of comments here at work, except towards the end about how "huge" I was. 😭😭😭 With twins I cannot imagine how big and what they'll say. Ugh. I just keep mental track (like an internal post-it), so I know who to avoid the most. My students and staff members keep reminding me "If you're this big now at 11 weeks.....you'll be huge by March." Gee, thanks for reminding me.

For the past 2 days when I'm lying down I can almost swear I can feel movement. It's not gas but I feel like there's no way I'd be feeling him this early. I had an anterior placenta with E and I was over 20 weeks before I started to feel her.

I had this experience last night laying in bed. I too had an anterior placenta with DD. I thought it must be gas, but then didn't pass gas. So I don't know. You aren't alone. Time will tell.

I felt DD at 14 weeks, so I’m really hoping I start to feel this one that early too!

I felt D2 at around 14 weeks and this baby I felt so early I refuse to admit when lol. ETA they always say “baby’s kicks aren’t strong enough to feel yet” but it’s not kicks. It’s like swoops and drags and a paintbrush feeling.

I ate chicken! That seems like a milestone. It was that fried chicken patty kind, but that's closer to chicken than I've gotten in 12 weeks.

I've occasionally thought I felt movement too (I'm 13 weeks). I think I felt it with DD around 16? To me, it feels like a goldfish a little bit.

I had my first appt at the new office. They are so thorough I’m almost overwhelmed. They went through my history and given that I had pre-e with DD they want me to start aspirin. The other two offices never said that, they mentioned it was something new they ar having everyone with the history do... anyone do this? I do think I am happier with this new office but it just seemed to be a lot since they went over literally everything lol. Now I need to think about all of the genetic testing since I have a history of spina bifida in my family. Which my husband doesn’t want me to do 🤦♀️

Sorry for the stress re genetic testing. What kind of testing would it be?

It's usually used in women who have clotting disorders.

I ordered a doppler today. I'm okay most of the time but it would really help if I could check when I'm not. I feel confident that if I can't find it I'll blame it on user error instead of something bad, too.

I had my MFM appt this afternoon. They just talked with me about all the risks of twins. Trying to be chill about it all, because they seem to have a great handle on what is needed, what to track, etc. Just feeling overwhelmed.

All these stories about inappropriate questions to pregnant women’s are so awkward.
When I was pregnant with DD1 I was still teaching sophomore English. When I told my classes, most of the kids were so sweet about it and they had tons of questions. When are you due? Boy or girl? How are you feeling? Etc. I’ll never forget this one student asked me if it was planned in front of the entire class. I was so shocked I didn’t know what to say at first and then said that it wasn’t much of his business, but this baby was very much wanted. He later apologized and was so embarrassed when he realized he was essentially asking about his teacher’s sex life. 🙈🙈🙈

My doctor also said as long as you are with the same partner you have less of a risk of pre-e with your second. A friend had it with her first and no signs with her second so I hope that's the same for you

I’m on a baby aspirin daily now to help prevent pre-e. They just started that last Friday at my appt. I will have to look up that study someone mentioned ( Tlex?).

Sorry for the stress re genetic testing. What kind of testing would it be? Sorry just responding so I misunderstood things a little they suggested talking to a genetic counselor so understand my “risks” in having a child with spina bifida since my dads mom and sister both have it... and suggested then getting the panorama I think it’s called? MH doesn’t want us to do it because the added cost but because he doesn’t want me to worry for no reason. My mom and sister both have kids and none have spina bifida so that’s his reasoning. I’m torn and I have to decide like now given how many weeks I am she said.
