I’m in the same boat of do I get a Doppler or not. I think about it constantly but I also worry it could cause more anxiety. For those that do have one, how often do you use? Maybe every 3-6 days? I usually video the heart beat once I find it (it sounds like a galloping horse/ a chugging train) and that tides me over if I feel like I need to hear it again. I’m surprised I don’t want to use it more but 🤷🏻♀️

Well my cooking ended up being a fail. I was in such a mood for meatloaf and it smelled so amazing while cooking only to taste awful to me. I ate a bite and threw away, lesson learned. MH liked it at least! So tragic 😞

I have one from my last pregnancy. I don’t remember exactly when I started using it, I think it was later like 12 weeks because I found heartbeat right away. But once I did I used it every day for the most part until I felt movement. I am super anxious and it helped my anxiety.

I haven't dug it out yet this time. Thinking maybe I'll try it this weekend, and if I can't find them, then just sell it.

Motherhood Maternity online is having a great sale. Most of my best pants and jeans were from them last time.
I have 1 pair of grey work slacks, 1 pair of gray yoga pants, 2 tops for work, 1 sweater for work, 2 sets of 3 underwear, 2 maternity tanks, and 2 bras that can become nursing bras for $162.
I should buy it all, yes? I would really be "set" except for maybe a coat (what are you all planning on doing for coats?)
I have 10 hours to decide, lol. The only thing I don't have and may want is maternity skinny jeans.

Eames I vote to buy it all! I just bought a bunch on sale from Pea in the Pod because I put on my full panel work pants from there that I had from last time, and man are they comfy. I feel like I’m going to need more than 1 pair of pants this time around, so hopefully at least one pair hat I ordered fits. I’ve been looking on ThredUP for jackets because I have a credit there. Otherwise, maybe Target will have something? I also don’t go outside much when it is super cold, so I just need something lighter.

Eames, Thanks for the heads up. I have a bunch of work pants that I don't need because I'm at home and I only have 1 pair of jeans. I think I'm good with tops I went through my bin this weekend.

I got it all and added a pair of dark wash skinny jeans! I'm looking at this coat at Old Navy. I have $20 supercash, but it might be better to wait for a 40% sale? I won't need it for a few months anyway. It's $80.

Eames that’s an awesome deal, get it all! I need undies so thanks for the heads up. WRT maternity coats I’ve historically stubbornly refused to buy one.... now that I actually live in a climate that doesn’t get polar vortexes I’m thinking about buying a rain poncho 😂 watch out everyone, fashion coming through. I’ve always gotten by with wearing a sweater and leaving my coat unzipped but I run really hot and even more so while pregnant.

I didn't buy a coat with E either, I had a lot of maternity sweaters and when I couldn't zip up anymore I just walked a little faster to get inside, lol. But I'm not someone who is outside longer than walking to/from car so it's not a big deal. Although now my car sits on the driveway instead of a garage so it will be colder in the car...

We do some full days of walking outdoors during the winter and I knew I would need one.

I'm glad I have a coat. I had outside recess duty all winter so I needed one.

I'm awake and I should have been asleep 2 hours ago. My stomach was unsettled from dinner and I'm trying my best to avoid getting sick because I went for a side salad since I'd been feeling so much better lately (I was avoiding them because there are few things worse to come back up 🤢) which means I have to prop myself up and can't fall asleep. I'm waiting on the unisom and b6 to help knock me out...
Oh pregnancy. So sweet of you to keep me on my toes with your surprises 🙄

pambee I hope you got some sleep eventually! I know just what you mean. Blech! I have been hit hard with second tri hunger, and all I can dream about are big sandwiches. A bit of an open ended craving lol. I also still get bouts of nausea which I find very unfair and rude. Yesterday late-afternoon was dreadful. And I woke up around 3 am feeling sick from being so hungry. Time to start keeping more than just a Lara bar in my nightstand I guess.

Sorry about the nausea Tlex. I have it back again too. My dd2 has a cold so it has been a rough couple nights so I think the lack of sleep isn't helping.

The midwife had to cancel today and now the appt isn't until next week. I am so disappointed and upset. My anxiety about it was a lot higher than I thought. So now I am either going to get a doppler somehow or try and remind myself that the baby is most likely ok in there. Nothing has shown me differently. And just keep repeating that in my brain and hope it sinks in haha

I’m so miserable today. Fortunately someone came in to work with a bag of fresh, still warm bread and that is helping. All the carbs, please.

Well I got t-boned while driving to work today. They were pulling out of a driveway, so at least they weren't going full speed. I went in for an ultrasound and baby was kicking and hiccuping away. I have my NT scan on Friday and the OB office wants to see me again Friday after the OB scan to follow up. I am just glad baby looks good. Of course I have heard horror stories about baby looking good after an accident but being gone a few days later. But it was on the passenger side, not my side and the ob office seemed like I looked fine.
Car is fucked, which sucks because it was a 1992 that I was emotionally attached to, but oh well.

I am sick with the worst cold/sore throat. Ds2 shared it with me. Every part of me is miserable. The only meds I have in the house are Tylenol. Mh flies back tonight so I will send him on a message hung if needed in the morning. For now I’m just part of the couch.
Sorry. I needed to whine.

This seems so trivial after Yogurt's post. But I told one of my bosses this PM about the pregnancy and twins, and he asked if it was planned.🙁 I didn't know what to say, so I just said, "well, one was..." So weird, awkward, etc.

Yogurt really glad you and baby are ok. I got hit (my car was parked) back in July and it took me a long while to feel calm again after. Baby is very well protected inside and I’ll keep you guys in my thoughts for everything to be just fine. Sorry about your car, too.

haleyscott and jacks sorry you guys are feeling crappy! Wicket that sucks that your appointment got pushed back, anxiety is the worst. I keep telling myself X milestone will help me relax but there’s always another one ahead to worry about. Wish I had wisdom, alas, just comisseration. Eames well that’s exciting to share the news but 🤔 at your boss. That question is just never a good one, come on!
