M is a month or so from 2. DH wants to get him a pillow for the crib as he loves all his slushies and he has trouble breathing whenever he gets sick (yet another cold on another holiday weekend.. ). Is 23mo too early? What type of pillow did you get for your LO?

I picked up this pillow and blanket set when DS was around that age. He didn't use it too much in the beginning, but I was okay with them being in the crib with him. We added a very thin regular pillow when we transitioned to a twin bed at 2.5 and he insists on using both now (he just turned 4 last month).

Thank you all for the recommendations! lupincat I ordered that one you linked - it may or may not have been influenced by the fact that the little boy in one of the photos looks like a clone of my DS. I showed it to DH, who jokingly told DS he expects a cut of his modeling income. M just giggled and got back to his playdough.

I got those for DS1. He never used them. He didn’t consistently use a pillow until 3.5. He just preferred to sleep on his mattress without one. Now, he uses the medium ones from target

I gave M a toddler pillow at 2. She's 2. 5 and likes having it in the crib, but never sleeps on it. Even when I begged her to when she was sick and couldn't breathe. 🤷♀️

Pillow arrived in time for a nap, and he used it the whole time! It was glorious and long! Thanks again all.
