My friend called me a little bit ago to let me know that her dad passed away tonight. He had esophageal cancer so we knew it could be anytime but it’s still so hard. Makes me what to go see my dad and give him a big hug.

chrisy01 I don't think so, she probably got it from the boys because X went to bed snotty and Dude just told me "I feel old like you, Mom." Apparently that is code for sick now LOL. He asked if a nurse will come to help him like the one that comes to help me.

Ds had his first day of school today. He had a new teacher that I had never met. I had such a knot in my stomach about leaving my little boy in the care of someone I met two minutes before. In my mind is still that fragile little 4.5 lbs baby... Why am I such an emotional mess?
He had a good first day and both kids are currently playing dress up in the yard, it’s adorable. So far we’ve had a little red riding hood builder, an zebra princes, an ice cream lady and builder princes!

Not too much planned today. My mom is leaving around lunch time, but MH should be home from work soon after. I’m landing to leave the house to do something without the kids in tow, but not sure what yet.
I do have a question. Anyone know if they do tubes with a current ear infection? M2 has had a little cold since the end of last week. He was a little more cranky and clingy yesterday and I suspect that ear that still had fluid after his last infection is infected again. His tubes are scheduled for Thursday.

Morning all!
The movie was great last night and the theatre was amazing! Big comfy seats, wine and an extravagant movie with a good looking cast to stare at, perfection.
I generally give J a bath and put her to bed and although I gave MH some pointers Julia apparently schooled him through it:
-‘wash with soap’ -hands him the cloth and points at soap
-‘I lay down’ lays down and throws her legs up and says ‘bum’ to clean
He said it was time to come out and she said ‘No, teeth’
-She gets out and says ‘dry’
I cannot wait to see who she becomes when she’s older, she’s going to lead people, no doubt.

Dang tgrimes. You're poor little guy. cagoldi like others said, don't beat yourself up. I've seen many people ignore obvious diagnoses for y eww are and it's sad for the kids who missed out on EI. Catching anything at 2 is great. And the bxs you described don't alarm me and are in fact great skills to have. |
