I’ve made a list and have purchased a few items (this is Christmas and birthday) -Beanbag chair (he’s outgrown his AC) -Toy cash register -New luggage (prob rolling suitcase, in eyeing one at PBK) -Connect 4 game -jump rope -Legos (sets) -will probably introduce him to Star Wars and get a few of those type toys (action figures, a LEGO set, or similar) And always books and clothes.

Morning.
Both kids are at school and I can actually get some things accomplished. I have a couple more stores to hit up, then going home to get started on cleaning and prepping for tomorrow.
So LSS, I’ve had a shaved ice machine for over 4 years, but it’s been in its unopened box in the garage and I never did anything with it. When I bought it we were in FL and moved within the year. This past spring it came up in conversation between MH and someone in food services and they said we could sell at the stadium for the games. I took this as my opportunity to actually do something with it so I’ve been trying to get everything prepped for the last month or two. It’s finally happening. This weekend’s game is a long time rivalry and sold out 20,000+ people. I did a high school game at the stadium last Saturday for practice and it went well so I’m hoping this weekend we can make some serious vacation money!

I think he’ll love it!

#ForeverSauvignon Aside from ethical issues, I don't hate going to Walmart. I know I am alone in this, but it is the closest place to my house where I can get just about anything I need. Need eggs, potting soil, diapers and spray paint? No problem. Also, aside from going to the Mexican market, they have the most extensive Hispanic food section of any major grocery store around here. In that vein, it is the most ethnically and racially diverse shopping experience around my area. Reminds me of being back in the city. Also, like sands42 mentioned, grocery pick-up is the bomb. So, while I don't love the store in terms of layout and the quality of products, there are def some upsides that make it worth my while.

I mostly dislike Wal Mart because they are always understaffed, and they’ll have 2 check-out lanes open with customers backed up for miles. The self-checkout is great if you’re just buying a couple items, but usually when I go I’m stocking up or I have the kids with me, so I like a traditional check-out. It’s also huge, so I find it impractical to just go in for one or two items.
On the positive side, their stores have come a long way (at least ones I’ve shopped in recently) in terms of organization and cleanliness, and their prices are hard to beat.

Morning!
Colin went off to school sunblock-free (thank you, cloudy day!) and excited to eat in the cafeteria and ride the bus at the end of the day. Chase was a BEAST last night and I'm curious if maybe he's not sleeping enough with the big kid bed? He's always woken up in the MOTN but maybe he's overstimulated and not falling back to sleep quickly enough. Or he's 2 and mildly sociopathic. Who knows?
5 o'clock can't come fast enough, I'm so over this emotionally-draining week. We promised to bring the boys out for ice cream and I may (or may not) run a race tomorrow, but other than that, we don't have any solid plans for the weekend. And fortunately Calgary is off on Monday as well, so I can actually ENJOY the day off.

mwhip I'm really liking the house! It's nice to finally have enough space!! It's funny I was so used to having almost no storage at my old house so I was trying to shove all the cleaning supplies and everything under my sink when I now have two large pantrys. wineallthetime It's pretty good for the price! flamingo The Walmart pickup is amazing. I use the Walmart saving catcher so I was checking the Publix ads while I was making my order since they match the prices. and LOL about C picking your flowers My mom is here and everything is going well. None of the kids know so I'm excited to surprise them!!! Oh, and turns out my dad thought an Uber would be $100 which is why he was being so weird about it. It was $40. HAPPY BIRTHDAY yummeecookee !!!

I can't even count how many times I've went in, found what I was looking for, then left when I realized how bad the checkout lines were.

J is always a difficult child but the cast has multiplied that by a thousand percent. I might lose my mind by this time he goes to the sitters on Wednesday.

Happy birthday yummeecookee ! I’m sorry nam2013 . Sometimes I just need a good cry to get out of a funk and surprisingly few better after. Also not a big Chardonnay fan here. I mean, I’ll drink it, but i find most of them too buttery. I usually go for Pinot Grigio in the summer, but I’m really exited for fall to drink a good, dry Cabernet. My ILs are not wine people and think they’re so clever mixing red and white Franzia to have their own rose...... 😐 Lol, sometimes I mix Cabernet with Chardonnay if I have both open... This has got to stop!

Wow, thanks for the birthday love!! 💗 It’s been a crazy week at work and even a crazy morning. My coworker has been out all week so I’m doing my job plus covering for her. I’m still hoping I can scoot out of here around 2pm.
We’re going to a pizza place tonight. Then tmrw, we’re going to a microbrewery w my dad - a new one opened up near his house. So other than that no really major bday celebrations.
Me: it’s my 35th bday, I guess I’m officially old now. B: mommy, you’re not old. You’re regular.
Here’s to being regular! 🥂
