Hi everyone! I am so sleepy, I actually could nod off at my desk
Baby girl is in a leap/teething/has been abducted by aliens and she just does not want to sleep in her bed anymore.
Until last week she was quite happy going to bed after a cuddle and would chat away to herself for a while before falling asleep. Now, she screams as soon as I try to walk away and screams like a banshee every time you approach her cot after comforting her. Last night it took us two hours to get her back in bed and that only lasted until 4am
I just have to wait for it to pass, right? There's no magical solution to this?
In nicer news, my workmate is expecting a little girl. So, if we do decide to be one and done I guess I know where to pass on all the clothes... It is crazy the amount of stuff we have!
What are your plans for the day?

Sorry for the rough night Waffle. Hopefully it passes soon. I was so happy when I heard my friend was having a boy, so much stuff to get rid of!

Waffle it usually will pass. Ds2 had a better night. Ds1 crawled into our bed at like 530am though uggghhhh. I have one friend left who is due in October and is team green. If she has a boy, she's getting a massive amount of 3-6 and 6-12 month clothes. If she has a girl, it's going in the buy nothing group lol.

E was up every two hours or so last night and he took forever to fall back to sleep. Ugh! On a better note, the ridiculous 90+ weather has broken and hopefully we are in comfortable temps the rest of the month.

Sorry for the rough nights Waffle and sarahandben108. Ds2 has started mad-crying at night and nothing calms him down except the boob. He falls asleep but then when I lay him down the cycle repeats. Last night I had to just let him cry and it only took maybe 10 min of mad crying and he gave in and slept until his normal motn feeding time. DS1 got two shots yesterday and is TOTALLY playing up the soreness. I’m sure they are sore but he told me he couldn’t wipe himself this morning because of his arms, then proceeded to lift a huge wooden train turntable...🙄

That's the thing, she stops crying as soon as you pick her up and will fall asleep in your arms but as soon as she feels she's being lowered into bed, BAM! MAD BABY. We've been using a teething gel and it does help (eventually) I'll try giving her some before bed.

I fell asleep early last night (in DD1's bed) and didn't pump like I usually do, so I think I have a clogged duct. Boo. I didn't even notice it during my first pump today, but hopefully it clears when I pump again in a bit.
I'm excited for a 4-day weekend! Also, my boss isn't here today, not that we interact a whole lot, but it always just feels like a little less pressure when the boss isn't in.

Hope your clog gets worked out quickly belle0720! But yay for your boss being away. I have a great boss, but it feels nice when she's away too. Sorry for all the bad sleepers, DD was so cranky yesterday and didn't sleep great either. She's getting a tooth, finally, at least I think. I'm not expecting it to go quickly though 😣 I'm hoping she'll take one longer nap today to make up for it. Bah, just looked out the window and the sun is shining in displaying how dusty my blinds are.

Sorry for the shit sleep waffle.
It is GLORIOUS here today. 16C (60F) currently with a high of only 21C (69F). Lovely breeze. No humidity. It's like FALL!
The big kids are next door at the in laws. DD2 has been down for 2 hours. She slept gloriously last night, in bed at 7, up again to eat around 1030 and then slept til 8. Later this afternoon, the midwives have their annual picnic where all current and former clients can hang out and see how big the littles have gotten. Then DS has his last swimming lesson of this session.
It's a great day.

The nurses were good with him and he got a little stuffed animal after ha ha. I'm interested to see what his numbers are since they are going to run all of the allergens.

Glad things went well, grumpycat. Hope you get results soon. Looks like we finally found a puree N doesn't like: Peas. (Makes me wonder what he will think of green beans...) We'll try again with peas over the weekend. I know sometimes you have to try a few times before they'll eat it regularly.

Girls went back to daycare yesterday (finally) so the sickness is on the way out the door. Things have been absolutely crazy at work in addition to me being an event organizer for a charity golf tournament. Pretty sure I over allocated myself. But I am just going with it.
The big has swim lessons tonight and I started a pot roast this morning so hopefully we have smooth sailings tonight.
On the baby note, I need need NEED to get R out of the Magic Sleep Suit. I bought a Nested Bean(?) to see if that will work and a halfway transition before removing all things all together. The Zipadee Zip didnt since she cant get to her hands - if anyone wants it let me know - warning its pink balloons. Since this weekend is going to be a long one, I'm going to bite the bullet and get her out of it. Not looking forward to it. The good news is there is a twin bed in her room.

Waffle, I vote yes, phase. I hope it passes quickly! Hi, all. Work was much lighter today which was nice. I came home and did a workout and now I'm doing a hair mask and exfoliating face mask. Waking up at 4 am sucks, but having kid free time in the afternoon makes it worth it!

jenn83 Any reason why you feel the need to get R out of her magic sleep suit? Curious because we only stopped one-arm swaddling like a month or two ago and started using the sleep suit LOL. DD1 never stayed swaddled or used the sleep suit so this is all new to me! We have zipadeezips too but I feel like they sleep just a bit better in the sleep suit.

belle0720 No reason exactly. She actually sleeps pretty good in it, but I think because she is getting to be older (9 months) I feel like she should be out of it. My 2 year old was out of it by 6 months, but I havent had the energy to cut it. That and they only go up to a certain size 😂😂

Thanks everyone! I tried to combine H's method with mine, gave her teething stuff before bed, and she went down with only a little protest and actually slept through the night (well, until her neurotic mother had an attack of the 4am anxiety and went up to check on her, stepping on every single creaky floor board in the house...). She did fall back asleep without crying until 7am so I guess we'll be doing it like this from now on!
