We're set on Henry Joe for this guy. Jo is my mn which is why I didn't want to use Joseph (which happens to be FILs mn, and I didn't want him thinking it was after him instead lol) but Jo/seph is kind of a family name on both sides so I liked it. Henry was just one we both liked. lemondrop Maxwell Brian is my favorite! I love how they sound together. Thanks! My H loves it because Max Lastname sounds like a superhero, lol. I lovelovelove Henry, too. Unfortunately, my H's cousin is using it for her boy due in November. Her older daughter's name is Ellie, and our girl front runner name is Elizabeth, so if we somehow end up with one of each, we don't want to have it look like we just copied both of her kids' names, lol.

That's actually hilarious, because my E is Ellie 😂 obviously it's a great pairing My cousin is due in Feb and found out after we did that they're having a boy too, but they haven't picked a name yet. I felt a little rushed to pick a name before they did because I wanted to lay claims first.....lol.

Great minds all think alike And seriously, we've been anxious about getting to 16 weeks for our a/s, because we know a whole slew of people who are pregnant. I was super insane about H's BFFs who were team green and keeping their names secret, because I was completely convinced it was a girl and they were going to use Elizabeth. They did end up having a girl a couple weeks ago, but named her Grace. And I was very embarrassed that I was that worried about it. lol.

I mean I'm not necessarily one not to pick a name just because someone else does but I've had a lot of personal issues with this cousin lately and would not be able to handle all the "oh you just loved her name didn't you" comments etc etc. But that's largely due to my deep seeded issues with this particular person 😂

I’m impressed with the people who have picked already! I don’t think we will until baby is here.
We’re team green, current favorites:
Felicity Daphne Camille Scarlett (worried it may be getting too popular)
Theodore Colin Logan Alexander Pierce - thoughts on this are appreciated because I’m on the fence but MH loves

We’ve been debating names, and are kind of stuck on one.
Our list: Natalie Caroline Catherine Allison
And probably more but I’m totally drawing a blank.
Names we love but can’t use: Elizabeth Emily Maggie Eleanor

Also, I am really impressed with the amount of work everyone has put into names already. My husband and I have had one five minute conversation where he threw out the name Holden for a boy. I haven't thought about names at all yet. I will wait until after the Anatomy Scan.

We had a boy and girl picked out for E before the A/S too. I also just really love talking about and picking names, lol, so I had a list long before we were pregnant again.

Names we love but can’t use: Elizabeth Emily Maggie Eleanor. Caroline and Natalie were both on our short list, too. We decided against Caroline because while I really like the NN Cari, we live in North Carolina and could potentially move to the town of Cary next year. A Cari K in Cary, North Carolina sounds.. like a lot lol.

I have a list going. I think it will be awhile before we actually choose though. My current favorite name is Alexander (nn: Alex) - but, of course my cousin has a daughter named Alexandra (nn: Alex). We don't see them often, but still.

Natalie was my fav girl name, I'm a little sad we won't be using it, as we are having 2 boys and I can't imagine more after this!
I think it works for all stages of life, little girl, adult, old lady, etc!
Caroline was on my list too, so you obviously have great taste!

We've decided on Luca Bear for this little guy. Luca is the first name we both agreed on and liked. DH's nickname is gingerbear, so the middle name chose itself. DD's name is Ava, so we like to keep it short and sweet!

I see lots of you in the weekly check in that have named your babies. I'm impressed. We've got nothing narrowed down. Throw out your best boy and girl options. We are team green with brothers Emer.son and Calla.han.
Middle names will be: Mari.anne for girl Mel.vin for boy
Last name is like Stephanie but ends with o.

Well Leroy Ellis turned out to be the name of a pro basketball player, so we are going to pass on that. Then I thought Leroy Martin, but Lee Roy Martin is the "Gaffney Strangler", a serial killer.
So I am settled on Leroy Abraham. Nothing too offputting comes up on google. (Well one thing does but the boy was the victim of the crime, so I'm fine with using it.)
So Leroy Abraham.

No clue on names here. H says all boy names are lame, so he's got no suggestions but is crossing lots of my suggestions off the list. And we now need TWO boy names. Ugh.
I'll dig out what he's crossed off and what's left in the morning and post here for help.

E was my great grandfather's name and C we just liked, but fit the last name as first name bill. I do like Hatrison and Jamison, but I feel like its weird to have two boys ending in -son. Maybe I'm over thinking it. A girl family name that we both like, not love, but can agree on is I.va.

But with our C, I had mentioned his name earlier in my pregnancy, H said no. We settled on a different name and then at 34 or so weeks he came back and said I like C better. Can we still use that?

That's what I said! I was like okay you don't have to just say yes, but you can't just say no when I have a list of 15 names and you have none....

Julia was thrown around too. My SIL has called Theodore and Cora as her first kid. I love Camille with Millie as her NN, but my neighbors/cousins have a cat named Millie.

I also really like Abram for a boy. My H likes it, but his coworker has an Abram. 🙄 I'm not losing hope, they will never even know each other. For our last boy our other name was Thatch.er. I still would be ok using that too.

Okay. DD is Ana.stasia
Boys names H has nixed for being lame and/or too trendy or just "NO": Brayden, Greg, Thomas, Tristen, Edward, Tyler, Carter, Carson, Jeremiah. Boys names that H hasn't nixed but still declared lame, but left on my list: Andrew (Top favorite of mine for years, might call him Drew), Alexander, Ben/Benjamin, Phillip, William, Steven, Nicholas, Jonathon/John (My great grandpa was a John, and would love this as a middle if not a first), Eric, Mark, Joseph (his dad's middle- his dad passed when we were pregnant with DD and she got the feminine version of FIL's first name as her middle), Joseph, Christopher. I also loved Robert, but my sister has claimed it since her BF's dad just passed and that was his name. I'd still possibly use it for a middle though.
Edit: the following names are out due to being H's name and or nephews/close friend's babies: Brad, Michael, Logan, Xander, Lucas, Matthew
We need TWO boys names, first and middles. Don't care if they both have the same first initial as DD, or the same first initials as each other or not. I prefer longer names that can b.e shortened to nicknames if they prefer the shorter version. (My name is super short and it upset me when I was little that I didn't have a shorter version to use as a nickname. H hates his full name, and is glad he was able to shorten it to something he feels is better.)
Help??

I was going to suggest Nicholas or Alexander when I saw your daughter's name (although I dunno how you feel about the story of early 20th century Russian royalty lol) and then I saw them on the "not saying no" list. My brother is Nick and Alex was on my very short list. What about: Richard (Richie/ Rich/ Ricky/ Rick) Timothy (Tim/ Timmy) Zachary (Zack) Marcus (Mark) Stephen (Steve) Nathaniel (Nate) Theodore (Theo)
