I had an OB appointment this morning. It took a minute to find her in there, but eventually we got a HB of 145 and all looks good! I've been having some hip pain that I brought up to the OB. He said he can write a note to get me a better parking spot on campus. I might take him up on it. Right now I have to walk 8 minutes fast from my car to the office. It won't be possible if the hip pain gets worse. Yay for pregnancy priority parking!

redhead610 glad there is no clot. Are they in your lower legs? I've been wearing compression socks at work the past few days because of some leg swelling and aching. They are helping already even though it seems early to need them! On a related note any recommend a good maternity support belt? I borrowed on from a friend last time and can't remember what it was. It was decent. I seem to be carrying really low this time. I feel like I'm going to need one sooner this time since I'm a TTM and work long hours at the hospital on my feet. Both. My lower legs have spider veins and my thighs have varicose. I wear the compression socks around the house but it has just been so hot lately so I take them off for cool down breaks! I've been wearing them since about 12 weeks. My veins issues returned at 11 weeks which is super early! I also had a maternity support belt with ds2 and will break it out again soon. I went for a walk the other day and it felt like someone was shredding my belly! I bought mine at a medical supply store. I don't remember the brand but I know it had the strap that went on top of the belly too. I imagine I'll wear it more with this one than ds2 (August baby and again with the heat issues!).

I’ve been getting rid of some old clothes and trying to do some organizing this week and today I made the mistake of lifting a box at least 40lbs over my head to put on the top shelf of our linen closet. I feel like I may have pulled a ligament or something and am definitely regretting it now. I thought to myself I should wait for MH but I’m not good at waiting or asking for help. Wish I would have now though. Wondering if I should call the OB since I’m sore or just try and rest and not worry about it. Sigh

cch, I'd see what rest does, personally. You can always call the nurse line and see what they say, though!

thelittleredm @amc thanks ladies. I really need to learn I shouldn’t continue to do everything I was able to a few months ago, even if I *think* I can handle it. I took Tylenol and have been resting but left a message for the OB nurse just incase since the pain hasn’t subsided. I feel so dumb!

I pulled something at 39 weeks carrying my vacuum upstairs and I was so worried about labor because it hurt to put any weight on it (thankfully all was fine by the time labor time came). It’s easy to forget! And the relaxin hormone doesn’t help things. I’m sure you will be fine. Tell DH he needs to take over the heavy lifting!

Is anyone else still struggling with fatigue? I am 17 weeks, but I am still having a hard time making it through the day. I am getting in bed as soon as I get the kids down. I am not sure what else to do. Maybe this is just pregnancy with two other kids?

@wildfkowers I've just passed 14 weeks but my fatigue is still 90% of what it's been. I can do something one day like go on a picnic or do some house work and then I'm knocked out exhausted for 1-2 days after. Can't imagine caring for two little ones at the same time. Definitely get all the rest you can, you deserve it!!

wildflowers, yes. It's not as bad as it was earlier, but I'm still beyond exhausted by bedtime. If I really push myself to do an all-day thing on the weekends, I get extremely burned out and need a few days to recover. It's been extremely rough honestly.

wildflowers yes, I'm in the same boat with my two. My fatigue didn't really hit hard until about 12 weeks and it has been going strong since then. I feel guilty being so excited for school but man we need the routine and I need the break! The heat really knocks me out too. I am waiting for that second trimester energy to hit, I have so much to do!

wildflowers The exhaustion has gotten better for me but some days I still feel completely worn out by the end of the day. I don’t feel like I need an afternoon nap like I did a couple months ago though. Hopefully some of that second trimester energy will kick in for you soon!

Yep, still dealing with fatigue here. 17 weeks tomorrow. It's nowhere near my level of 1st trimester exhaustion, but I'm usually really tired by the time my kids go to bed, even on days when I nap while they're taking theirs. Pretty sure this tiredness is just how pregnancy is when you've already got two kids to parent! I had noticeably more energy during second trimester of my last pregnancy, when I only had one kid to parent.... but I was also two years younger then, so that likely has something to do with it as well. All of this.

I was five years younger last time. Maybe that is the problem!

Oh. My. God. The heartburn. I thought feeling like puking all the time was bad this is no fun either and I’m only 17 weeks! Is anyone else suffering? What can I do? It’s excruciating 😖

It’s excruciating 😖 I haven’t yet but I’ve had terrible heart burn in the third tri with my first two pregnancies. Like couldn’t even drink water 😩. Try Apple cider vinegar. it’s supposed to neutralize the acid.

It’s excruciating 😖 No advice, I am sorry, but perhaps it will make you feel better that there is a scientific correlation between heartburn and baby having a great head of hair. I'm actually a little jealous, my poor baby girl will be bald until two... 😂 But not a pleasant thing to endure so hope it improves for you!

k yay! I just ordered mine as well. Hope we get some good stuff! strawberrykiki I had heartburn for the first time this week (15w) and it sucked. My last pregnancy I had it the most during 3rd tri and it was absolutely horrid. I kept tums with me at all times even though they didn’t always help. Not sure if the wives tales are true or not but my DD came out with a head full of hair! Hope it gets better for you soon.

strawberrykiki I get it so easily even when not pregnant, because of a hiatal hernia, I take Prilosec daily. I've found behavioral changes can make all the difference... Prop up on a couple pillows to sleep, no clothes or bras that are tight around the ribs, no orange or pineapple juice, limit fried and fatty foods. I've found Tums can start a bad cycle because they can reduce stomach acid so it feels better but then it can slow down digestion. I never lean over if I can help it, just bend at the knees. I eat and drink small amounts at once too. Good luck!

TTMA movement! Has everyone felt baby? When did you first feel movement and where? I’ll be 16w tomorrow and I thought I’ve felt a few pops and small movements here and there for the past 2 weeks or so but today I felt the first ‘OMG that was definitely baby’ movement to the right of my belly button. With DD I felt her on the inside at 17 weeks and MH felt her on the outside a week or two later. I’m super excited to start feeling more frequent/consistent movements soon!

I felt some movement early, but I wasn’t confident about it until 17 weeks. Now, I feel baby whenever I lay down at night or sit down to relax (ha), and sometimes when I’m up and moving too! I have felt some light kicks on the outside too. This part is the best ❤️

I’ve been so gassy the last week or two, I have no idea if I’m feeling any movement. Ugh. Forgot about this part of pregnancy :/

I've been feeling something that I think is baby since a little past 12 weeks, it's more noticeable now but only if I lay still until I can feel my heartbeat in my abdomen, then pay attention to what I'm feeling that's not my heartbeat... Twice now I felt something when I wasn't trying to but it was so sudden and strong (comparatively) that is made me really notice! Feels like little bumps and like a light elevator flipping feeling. But I can't believe that in a few weeks I can hope for DH to feel something on the outside, that is something I am so excited for and seriously can't wait!!! How fun, guys!!

I have been feeling movement since early on (12-13 weeks). With my first I felt him at 16+4 and MH could feel him by 3 weeks later.
At 19+2 right now though, this one isn’t close to being able to be felt on the outside. It’s all little kicks like 2 inches under my bellybutton (where there’s lots of fat cushioning lol). Starting to get more frequent though, which is fun.
I’m wondering if part of it is positioning, even this early on. DS liked to hang out on my right side so his kicks mostly were on the left of my abdomen. This baby’s head is near my bellybutton with legs down (confirmed at my anatomy scan last week haha) so that must be why I’m still feeling him/her so low.
