It’s cool and rainy today so we are just hanging out at home. My sister is going to come play for a bit and we might bake some zucchini loaf and muffins later. I have 4 huge zucchinis in my fridge and I need to create some space!

It’s great day at school. I’m just eating my way through the day every time I pass the teachers lounge. It’s all delicious and I can’t say no (peanut butter pie! cheeseballs! cookies!). Maybe the girls will go on a walk with me this afternoon to work some of this off as it is beautiful here today.

My in-laws are coming down to go to the farmers market. Unless they leave soon though, they won't get here until after naptime. I'll do a nap on the go as long as it isn't late. I'm not delaying naptime.

Can you guys send some good thoughts/prayers/whatever’s my BFF’s way? They are on their way to the ER right now with her second ectopic pregnancy. Backstory: they tried for over a year to get pregnant with their first. That year includes a loss at 15 weeks, an ectopic pregnancy (needing a D&C), and eventual removal of one of her Fallopian tubes. They got pregnant after that, their son is almost 3.5. They got pregnant pretty easily the next time and that son is 16 months. They just had a surprise pregnancy (weren’t trying, hadn’t even decided if they wanted a #3) and stuff quickly went sideways, ending up with the second ectopic diagnosis last Sunday. They tried methotrexate and it hasn’t worked so they are now rushing her to Er for surgery as the betas keep climbing. If things go badly and her tube needs to be removed that essentially eliminates any chance of a number 3 for them (barring fertility treatments obviously). She has been at the doctor or hospital almost everyday over the past two weeks for blood work or ultra sounds. And one of the only days she didn’t have to go, they ended up in the Er anyways because her littlest climbed onto a table (for the first time, he’s only been walking even for a couple weeks) and did an immediate header onto the hardwood 😬 Sorry for the word vomit, I’m just worried for my friend!!

On a slightly happier note, DH randomly out of the blue agreed to a third baby!!! He has always wanted only 2 and I have always wanted 3. He had hesitantly agreed to 3 but was trying to convince me to stay at 2. He is now on board with a #3 and I am ecstatic!!! We are talking when DS is 2.5-3 so not for a bit but still!!!!!!!!! I secretly hope it will be a girl because I hardcore LOVE our girl name that we had picked out for DS - Eleanor 😍

My boss is out so I am lurking here. We share an office so it’s obvious if I’m on my phone constantly.
My mother’s big party is finally tomorrow so I can be done with it. I am so looking forward to it being over. Too much work now that I’m back in an office.
I am insanely hungry today. I’ve eaten all my back up granola bars, my cheese n crackers snack, and lunch.

doodlemommy sending all the love to your bestie. I can't imagine what shes going through. Also YAY to baby #3!! Back when H and I were discussing how many kids we'd like and I mentioned 3, you'd think he'd seen a ghost. Eleanor is so beautiful

Thanks for all the support overnight guys. It was a long night and I didn't sleep even when E was sleeping. I have guests coming in and I'm at a 12 about how I'm going to keep her from waking everyone. No one deserves to come to my house and have to listen to a screaming baby for 2 hours each.and.every.night.
All I can do is hope she somehow sleeps well.

Camping was rough and I was so worried that DS would wake up the whole campground so I basically kept my nipple in his mouth all night 😬 What about a fan in the hallway. Hopefully that plus closed doors would muffle? I mean obviously her sleeping would be ideal but just in case?

cythe I’m sure you got a lot of anecdotes already but my oldest never crawled! Never! One day he just walked, around 11 months. All babies have their talents. Some are good nursers, some good w food, some good napper, night sleepers, happy all the time, easy going around new people, great in restaurants, gross motor, fine motor so on and so forth. It’s easy to zero in on one thing but unless there’s a medical issue there’s no reason for concern. Awful night sleep is the worst though. I have a very low threshold for overnight BS so I feel for you.

It was also cool here today and I loved it.
DS1 is rocking kindergarten and I’m so proud of him. I’m liking the added structure to our days too since kindergarten is all day here. DS2 starts 3 yo preschool in 2 weeks. He’s feeling left out of the kindergarten train so I’m happy that’s starting soon for him.

doodlemommy congrats on the green light for #3! I always feel for couples when they don’t line up on the number of kids they want. Both ways, someone eventually may feel resentment. It’s great when it lines up!

A friend invited us over for dinner Sunday. I asked if I could bring anything and he said he likes wine with his steak. Lol so I guess I’ll pick up 1 or 2? bottles? We don’t drink wine regularly (or ever) so I’m going to wing it. I should also pick up something for their 2 year old.
I wish I had a cookie.

My friend is in surgery having her other Fallopian tube removed 😢 When she had the first tube removed she responded very poorly to the anesthesia so i’m anxiously waiting on the update that she’s out of surgery and doing ok

doodlemommy Oh no - I’m so sorry for your friend. I hope she comes out of surgery okay. I read your other post about your H being on board for #3 - that’s great! Your zucchini bread plans sounds tasty too 😊 rebeccabunch So happy to see you back here- you always have great advice. That’s awesome your DS1 loves kindergarten- yay! curmudgeon Good luck on picking out wine! I think you’d be good bringing 1 or 2 bottles...when we have ppl over, they only tend to bring 1 bottle...maybe a little dessert thing is also popular. Cabernet goes well with steak!
