Good morning!!! I’ve been MIA over here since live is crazy and I haven’t slept like ever so usually I’m too tired to come on & post haha.
I put DS in the guest room all night bc I am literally dying of sleep deprivation. Didn’t make a difference lol. Still up all night and between both kids I am DEAD. I was a little annoyed at bible study last night bc I shared how I haven’t slept in months and my girlfriend just started giving me all these solutions and I was like “stoppppp don’t you think I have literally tried EVERYTHING over the last 6 months.” 🙄🙄 People think I’m nuts for having the kids share a room but they honestly do sleep better together so the haters can just shut up lol.

Good morning! I have been so freakin busy. 3 our of the past four nights I have worked until after 11. That means I am not crawling into bed until at least midnight and I am up with the baby no later than 6am. I don’t have plans today. I have sort of wish I did. I have been alone with the kiddos all day everyday and them alone at work so it’s been a bit lonely. Monday we go on vacation and I can’t wait!!

It's been nuts over here too. I took today off from work and the baby, the dogs and I are meeting my sister this afternoon to go camping. I feel like I should be more stressed or have more urgency to get packed up, but I'm not. It's much calmer getting ready without H running around at an 11.

Happy Friday all! dragonflyinn That is so frustrating! I wish more people understood that sometimes you just want to vent. Sometimes you just want to say "I'm soooo tired" and for the answer to be "Ugh, that sucks, I'm sorry!" and not have it be followed by unwanted advice. I hope you get some sleep soon! Sleep deprivation really is torture.

The crib transition is still going ok for us, but he is still waking up twice at least...usually at 12 and 3:30. I miss the 7 hour stretches we were getting two weeks ago Our ILs are in town and I keep getting comments like "Oh, you give him the pre-bought baby food? Hmm. I made all my own baby food." Another gem was when I trying to get him to bed last night while they were visiting "Oh, you are trying to keep him on a schedule? I see. I didn't do any schedules with my kids because I wanted them to get to spend time with family." They had already been over for hours and he was very obviously fussy and tired... I can't take much more...send help! Lol.

Oh and we had his 6 month appt Wed and he got a fever again from his shots, poor thing. For all 3 rounds now he's had a fever afterwards! I think this morning he is finally feeling better. I guessed he weighed 20 lbs and he was 20 lbs 0 oz exactly With a 98 percentile head, lol.

Well I'm calling ST a success so far, we ended up starting on Wednesday. Night one sucked majorly at bedtime...she cried for one hour straight (I'm doing no checks style). Then she woke at 11:30 to eat (and she did really eat) and then all the way through until 7! Night two-17 minutes of crying and then woke around 10:30 to cry/fuss but I didn't go in and she went back to sleep until 4! Woke to eat then back down easily and slept until almost 7 again. I feel like a new woman already. She had been a great sleeper until about a month ago and started having trouble and I gave in and kept nursing her to sleep and then MOTN was terrible. So I'm glad to be back on track, especially considering I go back to work on Monday. And I know she will respond well if we need to repeat this in the future. I won't let go as long being difficult either.

dragonflyinn , have you tried....j/k. But solidarity. I was there with DS when he was a baby. I literally did think I was going to die. (due to sleep deprivation) pinkcat , V gets fevers from her shots too. It makes me sad but I know how important they are so we soldier on... sorry for the ILs comments, that is annoying. As for me, I go back to work next week and I'm starting to get nervous. About leaving the kids, about pumping, etc. I was really anxious/on edge yesterday but doing better today. I took some melatonin last night before bed to help me wind down and wow it worked. I didn't even think if I could do it with nursing so I'm off right now to check on that. I'll google it and also text my midwife-friend. Anyone know? I took 5mg after baby went to sleep and she didn't nurse until about 8 hours after I took it, so I feel like those are at least favorable conditions!

easternshoregirl it’s so dumb haha he is the best sleeper, falls asleep on his own, never needed to be sleep trained. But between him teething, him being sick (had a cough the last two weeks) & his big sister who has night terrors & all sorts of sleep issues when dad is gone (currently deployed) I am literally a zombie. At this point just counting down to H getting home not even to see him but so I can go away and sleep lol

DS hasn’t had a hard time like she did but omg she was a monster after hers.

Good luck going back to work next week easternshoregirl! Any pumping questions or anything else we can answer to help with the nerves? Talking it out always helps me feel less nervous. dragonflyinn Well then I have hope for our next baby that hopefully they will have an easier time with their shots than he does Also I can't imagine how sleep deprived you must feel with your DH deployed. So many hugs and props to you! How much longer until he is home?

Hi everyone! Just finally getting a chance to hop on and say hi. Both girls are napping and I just finished working out. We went grocery shopping earlier and are gonna go to the pool when they wake up. I got MH and I some lobsters for dinner tonight to celebrate him having a kick ass month at work and for hitting his quota and qualifying for the awards trip!! Much excite.
Also. I’m obsessed with the Hanna Andersson and Mini Boden BST Facebook page. They have taken a lot of my money recently since I’m trying to build the girls fall and winter wardrobes 🙈

This is our second and we will get a break after this, he will go to a non-deploying squadron for a few years.🙌🏼🙌🏼 I’m so ready lol.

Hi! Things have been busy. Vacation, work, DS1 kindergarten blah blah blah but i feel like things are leveling out. Hope to be around more often.
I want the groups knowledge on a few things so don’t mind me when I float some questions over the weekend!
We night weaned but she still fusses here and there so I have some ST questions and bad napping stuff.

If you are doing purées I think buying food is more hygienic pinkcat I don’t need my baby eating carrots that a million people have handled at the store. Gross. I can’t believe your guy is 20 pounds! He’s obviously getting the nutrients he needs MIL.

In regards to stickin to schedules, my older three do not sleep in at all. AT ALL. They are usually all up by 6:15am no matter what. On vety very very rare occasions they’ll sleep until 7. So we don’t let them stay up late because it generally just means fussy whiny grumpy kids. They complain that they don’t get to do fun stuff that some of their friends or the neighbors do, but do not want to deal with the repercussions of them staying up late. It sucks to always have to be home early but 🤷🏼♀️.
