Age: 3.83
Milestones: He has been in his big boy room (upstairs, our master and the nursery are first floor) for a couple of weeks now. For the past week or so, he and his dad have been picking out his clothes the night before and he has been waking up and getting himself completely dressed before coming downstairs. Such a timesaver!
Challenges: So.Many. It feels like sometimes he misbehaves on purpose, and when we try to talk to him he doesn't really listen or pay attention. Yesterday he went running away from me in the parking lot at daycare. He's done this a lot and we keep trying to tell him that it is unacceptable but he just won't listen and won't even look at us when we try to talk to him about it. It's so frustrating!
Funny/cute stories: This morning we were talking about baby sister and how she'll drink Momma's milk. He said he is a big boy and drinks his own milk. And orange juice. And baby sister will drink Momma's milk and Momma's orange juice. I explained that orange juice is only for big boys and girls and that Mommas only make milk.
How are you? Tired and sore, and nervous for the new semester that starts next Monday. I feel so unprepared this year!
QOTW: If you could have any animal as a pet, which would you choose? (Don't worry about practicalities. Go with your heart.)
I would love a horse and some chickens! (we already have two dogs and two cats, so I'm good on that front)
