Last night was a disaster. I knew I shouldn’t have jinxed it. We’ve all been up since 2. Baby went back to sleep finally at 6 and I came into work early.
I’m surviving on a steady diet of coffee and sadness. Pity party, table of one.
Hopefully everyone else is having a better Tuesday.

We also had a rotten night last night. E woke at 1:30 and cried off and on until maybe 3? She then fell asleep until she woke at 5:45 to eat and slept until 8.
I love the late mornings but I wish she'd sleep at night.

There must be something in the water, we also had a terrible night. DS was whiny and drooly yesterday so I think he’s working on another tooth. He woke up at 1:20 screaming. He ended up in bed with us where he comfort nursed for like half an hour and then dozed on and off until 4. I don’t think I slept much at all in that time because he would only fall asleep if I was in the most uncomfortable position. At 4 I took him back to his room, fed him, and he went back to sleep in his crib. Woke up at 6:30 but I ignored him for 5 min and he went back to sleep until 7:30. So. Tired.

Oh and the vet’s office called me back, I do have to bring the dog in. So they booked me at 3 pm because that was the only afternoon slot they had and we are busy this morning. DS normally naps from 2-3:30 and DD has nap/quiet time then too. So now I have to try to push naps earlier to be able to leave my house by 2:40 😬

Tuesday is flying by here. It is pouring here so the girls and I will just hang out after work. DD1 wants to do puzzles with me tonight so hopefully I can occupy DD2 with something else. I have zero ideas for dinner tonight either. The rain just makes me want to curl up and watch movies and not be responsible for anything.

I am a horrible person and brought a tuna pouch to eat for lunch in the office I share with my boss. She went out so I quickly shoveled it in and threw the package in a trash can on another floor. I hope there is no lingering smell. 😬🤷🏻♀️

curmudgeon I share an office with my boss, too, and we've had conversations about hoping we didn't gross the other out with food smells. We both eat at our desks, so it is basically unavoidable. I pump after lunch and when I walked into the pumping room, someone had had lunch in there and it smelled so gross. IDK what they ate but it smelled so bad. I thought it was BO until I saw the food container in the trash can. And you know, the food crumbs they left all over the table. 😡 ETA I feel bad complaining about a stinky pumping room when I know danvers has it so much worse. Have you seen any more of those lizard things? ::shudder::

These babies need to sleep! Don’t they know they’re almost year and are supposed to be sleeping through the night?
I’ve had 2 cups of coffee today so that’s how my night went. Other than that the toddler hasn’t been terrible and the baby has been drooling all over the place.
If anyone is looking for a cute fairly light movie on Netflix, watch To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Furniture!! I found some at Sears that I could go pick up locally today, so I did that. The box didn't fit in my car, so we had to take everything out of the box (which worked well because now I dont have to dispose of the big box) and that was a pain but thankfully everything fit after that. There is 1 more chair and a coffee table that I havent gotten completed yet.  |

I hate it when things interfere with nap time Well we need to leave in 45 minutes and DS is still singing to himself in the crib instead of sleeping 😳 He did sleep for 15 minutes in the car on the way home from the zoo but this is definitely not ideal |

CoachTsWife your pumping situation sounds worse! I have an old storage closet no one ever uses (except the lizards 😂) and the only food left in there is mine. I brought in a comfy chair, a heated blanket, my laptop, snacks (in sealed Tupperware since I suspect lizards aren’t the only thing living in here!)... aside from freezing in winter it’s really quite nice.. And I guess I have new friends if they decide to come out again 🤷♀️

We got to the front of two waitlists for preschools at the same time. One of them is closer and more convenient for our schedule and DS2's naps. The other has an amazing outdoor playground and an open door policy that includes DS2. (The 1st one has an open door policy for me, but not DS2). We toured both and DS1 likes "the girls and the mom and dad" (none would be in his class, they just did the tour) and at the second he likes the merry-go-round that isn't part of the preschool playground. Culture and curriculum wise, they are essentially equal.

We also had a bad night over here. Baby was up at 8, 10:30, and then 3:30. DS1 was up at midnight and 4:30am. Whyyyyyyyy. I’m tired, especially because DH and I had a date night last night, so we didn’t get home until 10pm.
I don’t drink coffee and try to stay away from caffeine, but I need something...maybe some tea will do the trick. 💤 😴
