Weekend wake up

Morning! Dd woke up really sad because my parents took off for vacation yesterday, four weeks, poor boy. Coffee at a nearby play area with a friend and her kids this morning and groceries and a few errands this afternoon. Hopefully a quite evening.

Charlie just woke up so I am downstairs watching the Alphablocks.
There’s a blackberry festival in town this weekend. It’s at a great winery. We’ll definitely stop by but it will depend on which day has the best weather.

I am so mad at myself. I overslept this morning and was late to work. I set my alarm for 4:30 and then shut it off and decided to close my eyes for a couple more minutes...and then woke up in a panic at almost 5:30. So now I feel all off and like I’m forgetting things and it’s super frustrating. I set 2 alarms for tomorrow morning. This won’t happen again. DH left last night to go to a softball tournament for the weekend so my dad and stepmom are at my house with the girls. Not sure what we will do after I get off work. Hopefully I can nap or something.

Add a nonstop hours long thunderstorm to our already poor sleeeping and I’m tired. Trying to decide if I tag DH in to watch the baby or just do BBM and stay up. We haven’t done much this week but the weather stinks so not sure what to do today. I feel like our summer is boring and the kids are actually asking to go back to school.

kim22 I’m sure it not! Kids are often happiest with the small stuff! A make your own sundae station, a living room picknick, home cinema with popcorn, making s’mores in the back yard etc!

Morning! We are off to a festival today. Layla is super excited about it. Hopefully it won't be too hot today. I'm excited for fall. I'd like to be outside without sweating.

Morning, mh stayed at a buddy's last night since they went out. He's meeting us at a house showing. Then hoping to get to the pool if the storms hold off. I have to polish up my final paper for a class and then I'm done with classes for 1.5 weeks. I plan on watching all the Netflix.

Morning. Our babysitter is coming in an hour and I’ll head to the gym. Not sure what we will do later, it’s supposed to rain. Maybe the mall to keep them entertained.

I’m not looking forward to going back to work Monday after 2 weeks off. I had to correspond with work almost every day even though i was on vacation, because apparently nothing gets done if I’m not involved. I’m pretty sure I’ll have a full plate this week at work, but this week is also when the kids are leaving for OK! So hopefully I’ll not let work get in the way of my fun.

Not much going on here. DH is out doing the yard, and Mom and I have been puttering around the house while the kids play. We're going to go see Crazy Rich Asians this afternoon and probably do some shopping kid-free. We're going out to eat tonight, and Mom flies out tomorrow morning.

Live blogging the trip from hell

We got to the hotel and both kids woke up. H fell asleep around 12 & M around 12:45. There’s no crib sheet so H was basically sleeping on the plastic pad of the pack n play. Every time he moved I woke up. I’ll try to wrap a fitted sheet around it tonight.

H was up at 5:40. WTAF.

The party today is at noon. You know, right when H should be napping...and he definitely needs it.

LT for support tgrimes. That sounds about like our night in the hotel on the way to Maine. You have my sympathies. Do y’all have a rental car? If you drive him around would he sleep?

One of my employees texted this morning that she was running late...but then the following text asked if I wanted anything from the bakery. So I’m currently eating a delicious fresh baked banana muffin and hash brown casserole. 😊. Yes, it’s totally acceptable to be late if you bring me baked goods!

I’m working today...but probably headed home to telework today because the internet is out at the office for the 5000th time this week. I won’t get near as much work work done at home. But I will probably catch up on laundry and Bachelor in Paradise. 😉

I think we are going to go for a bike ride after work tonight. It’s a gorgeous day out and we haven’t hardly been all summer.

Morning! Kids are gone so we got to sleep in. I just woke up and we might go for breakfast in a bit. I’m excited about our day... we’ve been gone so much lately that I planned a fun day with the kids.... We’re going to go swimming at the pool, then come home for naps. Then tonight we’ll watch a movie outside with the projector and put the tent up. Dh and n will camp out in the tent tonight.

Morning! It's my niece's baptism today. The baptism is at 11:30 and then after party is at my house. My sister and BIL live in a condo that just isn't the best for entertaining. We have a house and big yard, so I offered our place. Should be fun!

Run Like a Dog 5k today. It's like doggy Disneyland for Lily. She's all smiles at that event. Then I'll take the girls to see Alpha and couch shopping later. MH always keeps in mind a place for Lily when looking for a couch. 😊

lahdeedah the book was great, definitely recommend it. I heard the movie has a slightly different ending so I’m interested to see how it stacks up.

You can pay extra to have them expedited if you’re concerned. Can’t recall off the top of my head how much it is, tho.
