kim22 A sleep sack may hinder him a bit if he wants to stand, but I'd suspect that he could still stand up, especially as he gets stronger. What I did with my kids is not pick them up, but pat the mattress and whisper 'lay down it's time to sleep' and 'shhhh' over and over and over. I did it way late with B and he needed cuddles and took way longer to sleep train. With Julia, I started about 6 months when she was waking up so she would learn, it takes a few days for them to 'get it' but I've found it works. Even now if she wakes up MOTN I just have to pat the mattress with no words and she drops right down and is out.

xolastunicornxo , the confessions are so gross! I thought there's another reason condoms aren't bad. jewels , that really sucks. I'm sorry. ETA: are you at least getting any sort of compensation? Credits towards a future flight or something? If not I'd push for it. guster I'm cackling that you had to clarify that it was a non-sarcastic article about the merit of internet mom groups.

Does anybody have or remember where I can find that article about Internet Moms groups? Wasn’t a knock on them, but an article that explains how helpful and supportive they are? It was probably two years ago. Check scary mommy

Maddie and Cass (6 and 4) could technically share clothes but they fight over what belongs to each of them instead. Cass is solidly in 6s and sometimes 7s. She's a big kid.

Also, it's kind of ironic that Scary Moms is apparently the host of the article about the benefit of internet mom groups when we stormed into theirs and they shut it down.

Ugh. That SUCKS jewels. Did they even have a valid reason for the cancel. Did they check surrounding airports? That happened to me in Dallas once and I got a flight out of another airport in the area later that day.

It's FRRRIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Can you tell I'm happy the work week is almost over? I've been working 10 hour days then unpacking until around 11 every night. On the plus side we're almost done unpacking. I think we can finish the majority this weekend and by next weekend get the pictures on the walls.
Tomorrow we have our annual Run Like a Dog 5k and then I'm taking the girls to see Alpha (the wolf movie) while MH does online studying. I warned them both that it would be probably be sad but they are insistent they want to go. I predict Maddie will quietly sob and Cass will full on wail.

Popping in real quick to wave "hi" before going to Evelyn's meet the teacher event. jewels That stinks about the flight! I'll take a look and see what we've got going on Sunday morning and get back to you. Hopefully we can still make it work!

kim22 my kids have always had had sleep sacks, but they can walk in them too . How long has he been doing this? Could it be a little phase? I was hoping it was just the ear infection he had but he was rechecked Monday and doctor said his ear is fine. I’m wondering if I should restart his reflux meds.

H got his stitches out and how has glue on his leg. He’s off picking the dog up from the vet. We don’t have the results of her X-rays yet so hopefully he will get those. They were sending them to a specialist to look at.

Hiiiiiii! We spent the morning at the beach - both boys were all about the water, even Col, who's never enjoyed the beach much. Then they played in the sand until we dragged them away for lunch and a few rides with leftover tickets from last night. Everyone is napping (well Colin's still awake) and I need to check the weather. It's supposed to rain while we're here but the timing keeps changing. I already wish we'd have planned for an extra day or two!

So Charlie has been tantrum-ing like crazy for the last three days. Yesterday he started telling us, “I need a minute!” ( It is something I say far too often) and, “Please stop! I need to rest.” We are our hardest not to laugh at these very grown-up statements coming out of a screaming yelling two-year-old, but it’s not easy.

My dog has inflammation in her knee. We have to wait for the specialist opinion but she may need surgery. Our vet was unsure though about what they will do because she is still growing.

Took the kids to the zoo today by myself. We saw a lot. It was so hot and humid though, i was sweating buckets. We’re home now and I’m hoping to take a shower after i finish making the kids a late lunch.
Last night i went out to dinner with MH and drank way too much wine. I was definitely feeling it this morning and really wanted to cancel the zoo trip. Hopefully i sweat it all out.
