The search function isn't working but I remember a few of you mentioning the zipadee zip. Do you still like it? Does it help baby sleep? L has never been a great sleeper but we were finally getting decent naps and 4 hour stretches at night with her being swaddled. That's now out and we are back to not much sleep. She still flails a lot which wakes her up and I'm desperate.

I love it. B loves it. It took like one rough night and then he slept just as well as being swaddled. He loves to suck on the hands too which I guess tastes better than his actual hands? Who knows. Anyways, I love it. It was nevertoomanyshoes who convinced me

Haha Iām the zippadee zip pusher lol!
DS2 has been in one since he was 6 weeks, busting out of the swaddle wraps. He didnāt like the love to dream swaddle up suits because he liked to spread his arms out rather than have them up. Zippadee is great because they can roll in them.
He is still in them and loving it at 4.5 months. I bought a local version because the postage from the States was high. Itās called a sleepy hugs suit (but basically same except has two way zip).

With DS1 he soothed by sucking on the hands of the swaddle up suits so I thought cool, Iāll give him his hands and heāll self settle. Nope! Fabric is better than actual hands apparently for my kids.

Can someone explain, how is the zipadee zip different than just being unswaddled? DS is 5.5 months and I canāt get him to sleep unless his arms are swaddled. I tried the zipadee zip but he could move his arms just as much so I returned it. The Merlinās Magic Sleepsuit used to work well, but now that heās bigger and stronger he moves just as freely in that as he does unswaddled also. We are back to swaddling in the Halo swaddle sleepsack because itās the only way he will fall asleep, but Iām getting desperate.

I was convinced by nevertoomanyshoes too and it has worked wonders. She was 3.5 months when she started to roll on her side, so we went cold turkey on the swaddle and she slept like shit for a week. Once we got the zipadeezip she was back to STTN. girlmom, it provides just enough resistance in their hands and feet that they "feel their edges" but is not as restrictive as a swaddle so they can still roll if they need to. I was skeptical too but it really does seem to work.

Y'all are convincing me this might fix DS's sleep. I might just quick make one tomorrow morn. Are they same type of fabric as most sleepers? Can they stretch their arms all the way out?
Eta OMG autocorrect is trying to ruin mex

Eta OMG autocorrect is trying to ruin mex I think so? Mine are like a cotton blend with a bit of stretch but too much. And heās getting bigger in it now but when I first put it in, he could stretch out. Now itās like when they sleep with their arms above their head

Thanks! leatherpants. I have some t-shirt fabric; I think I'll take one of his sleepers in the next size up and spread the arms and legs out and cut a starfish shape around it.

I admit that I also think B is cute AF in the zipadee. He looks like a starfish and I love it

I'm late but I took a poll about whether to use zipadeezip or Merlin's magic suit on my personal FB about a week ago. It was tied but everyone that used them said either could only be used for an additional month.
I wasn't ready to lay out the money for just a month so we have just been using the Halo swaddle but with her arms out and that works for her.

Like theyāll grow out of it after a month-ish or something else? B is wearing one tonight and itās been well over a month. Heās not a quick grower though.

alwayscheese I thought it was a concern of rolling, but I guess I misunderstood. I really put no effort into looking into them

leatherpants I thought rolling was an issue for both of them.. But maybe only Merlin's? So yeah I think it was probably a size thing based on alwayscheese s post.

cornpop we settled on the zip over the Merlin because you have to stop using the merlin once they can roll and the zip you can continue to use. L rolls in hers all the time. But if the Halo with arms out is working for you, then there's nothing to fix leatherpants I think L looks like a flying squirrel LOL
