LO had no fever for the last 24hrs so she’s back at daycare. She did wake like every 90minutes or so last night but I’m guessing that’s the ear infection. A little rocking and nursing and she was back down. I would let her fuss or CIO but she still sounds horse so I’m a softie and H and I alternate settling her while she’s sick. She’s been on antibiotics for over 24hrs but I’m not sure how much she is actually getting because she treats all medicine like poison.
I’m happy to be back at work and trying to find my groove for the new school year. Tiny blue-tailed skinks have been appearing in my pumping closet so now I have some company during these breaks 😳😂

danvers I first read your post as tiny blue tailed skanks, and was like - that’s weird. Are the skinks like these guys? If so, I would freak out. I squeal when I see little geckos in our house as it is. The skink looks like it means business!

Normal day over here. LO remains fever free and he went down easily tonight, which is awesome.
DH is laid up with an injury, so I had the joy of putting down DS1 too. It was actually kind of sweet, because I normally don’t get to put him to sleep at night (I just come in for brushing teeth, PJs, and the first book - DH finishes the routine). I can’t believe how big DS1 is getting - laying down next to him is so different than the baby. Sigh - kiddos are growing up too fast.

Taitai We have a similar routine here... DD1 just went through a growth spurt and she’s looking particularly grown up. Add in the fact that her vocabulary is huge I’m missing my baby. danvers 😮 DNW creatures hanging around. I have been very grumpy in the morning lately, DD1 has been getting out of bed and coming into our room around 5-5:30. I’ve reached my breaking point, she refuses to go back to sleep but won’t let me really sleep. Is it time to drop her nap?

Now I just randomly bang on cabinets and make noise while pumping so no one sneaks out and surprises me anymore

We had our 9 month appt today with the pedi. Ev's vaccination schedule got a little off with all the shuffling of pediatricians so we are getting back on track there. She did have to have 1 shot today D: poor peanut.
Doc was slightly concerned with her lack of mobility. Shes not pulling to stand or crawling so we have been tasked with working on that. Not sure how I'm supposed to go about that, she just doesnt care. Toy out of reach? Oh well. But nonetheless, we will try.

cythe LO was also not crawling or pulling up (and could only roll one way) at his 9-month check up. Our ped wasn't that concerned. LO started crawling around 9.5 months and just last week (10.5 months) learned how to roll back to belly. We tried all the things and he just wasn't interested. She will get there in time, so while you can work on those skills with her, I wouldn't worry over it too much.

DS hung out with my mom during vbs again this morning and took a super good nap for her. Hopefully he’s back on track after the fiasco that was yesterday. Just having a bit of playtime now before naps! DS has to come with me the rest of the week for vbs so fingers crossed that goes ok!

cythe, DS1 didn't crawl until 10.5-11 months. I coaxed him into it by holding raisins just out of his reach. He didn't care about toys, and if i just kept myself out of his reach he would cry, but for raisins, he would crawl.

cythe Did your pediatrician direct you to any resources? As long as she’s not showing any other health issues I wouldn’t worry, some kids never crawl and mine doesn’t even do it properly.

cythe Agree with what others have said regarding the crawling/pulling up. DS1 was the same way - just generally lazy. He eventually started crawling at the tail end of 10 months and took his first steps right before he turned 13 months. I wouldn’t sweat it!

cythe, ds1 never crawled and took his first steps at 15 months. Is E sitting up on her own? With lil fella I helped him get onto his hands and knees and he figured out soon enough to follow his big bro around. Is the Dr worried with other developments And does he/she have reasonings? I have a bit of awareness in this due to my nephew.
