Well j pinched his finger in the door at dropoff this morning and the nail was immedia purple and they called after nap that he was weepy and in a lot of pain. We went to the pediatrician and she wants x-rays since she's concerned it's fractured. So now we are at the ER.. if it's fractured we go to an Ortho tomorrow, otherwise they will probably drain it. I feel a bit silly being here for a black nail, but her husband is a hand surgeon and she called him to confirm to go this route...
He's pretty excited about this at least. Milkshakes on tap for later.

Dinner with coworkers was so nice! I got home just after DH put Chase down - he was singing in his crib but I didn't want to rile him up by going in. Instead I read to Colin and am packing lunches. One more day of work, woot!!

My recipe for carrot cake is missing. It was my grandmother's. I'm really sad over this. I've messaged some family members who might have it. So far no luck. Oh no! I hope you find it. |

I finally got info from my boss on my raise. Even though I had a glowing review it was only 3.5% kinda bummed but it’s better than nothing. Now I’m at work and it’s work.

We are home. Long day but I ‘beat’ my time from last summer by an hour and a half or so, lol. Nice having the extra hands! Kids were great, DH has dinner waiting for us, and he took over baths and bedtime so mom and I could have wine and decompress.

I got flexed today again, so I came home and painted the foyer before having to pick the kids up. I also picked up dinner for a friend who had foot surgery and isn’t able to be very mobile. She has two school aged girls, so they were grateful. MH is just getting home, so I’m about to let him start bed time so I can shower.

I forgot to mention that M2 still has fluid in one of his ears. It isn’t too red and he isn’t showing symptoms, so we opted out of abx for now. Hoping the Zyrtec and breathing treatments keep him in the clear until we get the ENT visit. Doc says it usually doesn’t take long, so I’m hoping it will be in the next two weeks.

Sorry for the ER trip tallb. I’m glad his finger is fine, but I’d be annoyed about the bill. I know.. I was annoyed being there knowing it will be a lot. The doc there said she thinks it was smart to come in though bc it was a lot of blood that came out and he had to be in a lot of pain. |
