I'm feeling a lack of motivation today. I have some work to do and some errands to run and I just want to crawl back into bed.
I hope you all are better!

Today is not my day. DH asked if I could take the girls to daycare this morning which is a 45 minute round trip and there was a stalled train on some tracks near the daycare so I had to go an extra 5 minutes out of the way to get around it.
Then I get to work and have an email from daycare that I didn't label the bottles. Luckily they just needed permission to do so and I didn't have to go back.
Can this week be over and can I be on vacation already?

Good morning! I’ve been up since 4 because that’s when MHs alarm went off. G’s teacher will be here in a few. I still have to get G dressed. We have no plans this afternoon.

Hi! Ugh. I’m so tired. Baby was up every two hours. YOU ARE 7 MONTHS OLD, BABY. JUST SLEEP ALREADY.
DD1 has a doctor appointment today, and I’m trying to put baby down for a nap. H was talking this morning about finding regular care for the baby so that I can get back to painting. It’s a good thought, but I could feel my anxiety rising just thinking about it. I do not feel ready for that.

Taking both kids for well visits this afternoon...DS's 3yo visit and V's 6 month. Hopefully it goes OK! We are having a good day so far, the humidity broke over night so it is a bit more pleasant outside. We spent about an hour and a half this morning at the park with some friends and there was a bonus playgroup meeting with a lady from the public schools in charge so she did some stories and provided bubbles and did a couple of activities!
I started to panic that I go back to work in a couple of weeks. I made a list of freezer meals I want to get done and in the freezer before I go back to make it a little bit easier DH starts a new job in a couple weeks too (I think I mentioned it) so his hours will be more predictable and he'll get home a little earlier than he currently does, that will help a ton. Not much else going on. Oh, we need to put the house back in order, we had a ton of neighborhood kids over here last night for DS's bday, just for an hour but I think they played with every toy we owned! It was fun though and DS had a blast.

N just started playing peek a boo with me and it’s sooo cute! She sits up and pulls the blanket over her head and waits for me to say “where is she?” before pulling it down with the biggest smile on her face 😍

I have two coupons for a free 8x8 photo book from Shutterfly that I won't be using before they expire (Nov 30, 18). If anyone would like one I would be happy to send you the code. Includes 20 standard pages and hard cover, you can pay to have more pages.

I had to keep my mouth shut and rolls my eyes at my sil yesterday. She was at my house for a little while. I had the baby sitting down on the floor. I was sitting close-ish to him because I know that he may fall face first into my wood floors if he goes to dive for something. She asked me why I was sitting there. When I told her her why her response was “oh I guess I don’t get that because I didn’t need to do that when my oldest was that age. He was sitting up by himself with no help at 3 or 4mo.” Lol no he wasn’t but ok lady.

bassa, what kind of painting do you do? (sorry if you have mentioned and I'm just forgetting!) I do small-scale realistic oil paintings of unconventional still life’s. So like....a close study of a buttoned shirt with a single hair draped across. It’s been over a year since I’ve painted, which is ridiculous. But it’s hard to justify paying for childcare so that I can paint, when it earns us very little money in return.

Yup. Exactly. She is 100% the type to say “nope. Not my kids. They did everything early.” It’s not the case in the least. On top of that she only did motn the stuff with her first for the first two weeks of his life. After that, her mom took over. She did none of the motn with her second. She also worked 8-6 Monday through Saturday when both of her kids were babies. Her mom did all of the parenting when they were small. That is nothing against working parents in the least. I am happy my mil was able to do it. I just don’t appreciate my kid being judged by someone that wouldn’t know what there kid was doing most of the time. And I know she didn’t know. I have been a part of their family since before her second was born. 🤷🏻♀️

Little man is so into frozen fruit in a mesh feeder right now. It must make his teeth feel so much better.

Work kicked my butt today and I’m getting a new project that’s huge but I’m also getting dumped on by a coworker. I like this coworker as a person but don’t feel she pulls her weight on things.
The baby was crabby too and DS1 is in a lovely back talk phase.

The baby is this close to crawling so we better get on the babyproofing train. He is sleeping shitty recently and that is killing me.

Any time she even remotely wakes up, she rolls over and completely wakes herself up and can’t get back to sleep. I remember how awful this phase was with DD1 and it was something we just had to wait out. Ugh. I’m so tired all the time

marygracerich, even if her kid DID sit up early (which I 100% believe you that he/she didn’t), you don’t say that type of thing to another parent. Like hey my kid was more advanced than yours. NO.

Both of my boys have actually slept wayyyy better once they rolled on their tummies. Sorry it’s not working like that for you!

I agree. And it wasn’t so much of hey my kid is more advanced than yours but the implying that Ian is behind because he is just sitting up for long periods of time now at 7 months. In reality, it’s within the normal range of development. She also sort of shrugged it off like she knew better. She does stuff like that often.

Sent DD2 off to kindergarten today. 😭😭😭 DS starts in September, my first kiddo in school! And DD1 is going to start preschool which is on opposite days of kindergarten. It’s going to be SUCH a weird change!

tiffrobot so your kinder isn’t everyday? Interesting! Were full day every day. I know that can be tough on some kiddos. Thankfully DD was so pumped for school since she’s seen sister get on the bus for three years. She burst into my room at 6am yesterday and said MOM! Today I actually get to go ON the bus! Not just wave!!!! 😂

But when she wakes, she rolls into her back and doesn’t realize she can get back to her tummy

Not just wave!!!! 😂 Awe! Yea full day every second day here. Basically just budget reasons for that, it’s been like that since I was growing up here but I know there’s a few more options in the city. And then preschool is opposite mornings-it’s not part of the public school system but our school graciously lends them the kindergarten room on opposite days so our fees are MINIMAL with a free room to use, it’s a really sweet deal.
