bethkate or cnf what do you use to hold your phone when you run? I have a flip belt. I love it. It holds my phone, keys, chapstick, and any fuel I might bring with me on longer runs. I've made the switch to only wearing compression capris and shorts with side pockets big enough to hold things. Though for long runs I also have a fuel belt and SPIbelt that I stuff things into.

sarahandben108 I'm thinking of prepping meal components on Sunday and then we throw together various meals throughout the week. This week I'm grilling a bunch of chicken, onions and peppers, making a batch of rice, prepping salad stuff, and doing barbacoa beef in the crock pot. I figured we can have salads, burrito bowls, quesadillas/tacos, or just protein and veggies. I'll see how it works but I also need more ideas lol I do a “big” dinner every Sunday (roasted chicken, potatoes, carrots, gravy etc) and we use the leftovers on Monday night. Mostly because my H doesn’t get home until after 7 on that day and it’s easy for me to reheat leftovers. Depending on the meal I may even get Tuesday out of it. I bought an Instant Pot last summer so we do some meals In that. I tend to cook pretty simply (meat, veggie, and starch) so that helps. There is usually a taco night, pasta, or breakfast for dinner. Sometimes I get ideas from GD when they do a meal plan thread.

Welp, we officially have a furniture cruiser. He just walked the long length of our sectional couch and back. You just turned 9 months yesterday kid, slow down! He was also lifting his legs to try to climb the front of the couch to get my bag of chips. Guess we know what motivates him. There's nothing C cannot accomplish if food is involved. Toothless baby loves food so hard.

Everyone's baby is crawling and pulling up and mine is still rolling everywhere then flops on his belly like a fish and whines "mama" until I pick him up 😔 Mine’s still a big lump. You’re not alone. Lol.

We met with the priest today to do a run through for E’s baptism next weekend. She fought an afternoon nap again which worked in our favor because she slept in the lillebaby almost the whole mass. I may try to replicate that next weekend.

Sounds like a nice night thatgolfb! Add me to the clingy baby club. H definitely favors me over MH or anyone else for that matter. My kid fought his afternoon nap hard and just fell asleep on me 3.5 hours later. I hope this doesn't screw up bedtime. We went to the farmers market earlier and out to lunch with my parents. H was up at 6 this morning and I was really looking forward to napping when he napped but it's too late for me now. Anyone prep batches of things to be used throughout the week for meals? I normally prep components but cook each night. Lately it feels like after cooking, cleaning up, bath and bedtime routine the night is over before we have a chance to relax. Trying to find some ways to make life easier. I precook everything I can then basically eat left overs all week. Ain't nobody got time to cook when you work full time with kids. This is my thinking to help streamline things.

Hey- I’m here. I’m exhausted. I’m feeling a bit blah lately. I feel like I only talk to children all day. It gets old.
We went to the splash park today and I kept jumping into peoples conversations. Afterwards, I was like- wow, I’m that annoying person. 😂. In my defence, we were all sitting fairly close under the only tree providing shade, so it wasn’t as awkward. But maybe it was 🤷🏼♀️

However, N only babbles still...nowhere near saying anything. DS1 was talking super early. So I suppose trading one skill for another Maybe yours is too busy being super smart.

She is starting to get her butt up when she's on her tummy though. She rolled back to front in her crib the other morning. I basically can't even imagine her crawling over to something and pulling herself up to standing 😭 she's over 9 months now. I never imagined I'd have a slow baby!

E woke up twice last night but put herself back to sleep both times, luckily. Then, she was up for the day at 5:30. I’m hoping for an early nap.

N has a cough and I think (finally) working on some teeth so sleep was not good last night. I’m tired but we’re going to our state fair today. I’ll have to suck it up. This is one of my favorite things of the year.

Hi there!!!
We have had a rough 3 weeks and i have been too tired to function so all my energy is to keeping my house a float and working lol.
Sleep training middle of the night is going to happen real soon. Reading Ferber now.
We are good. R is all over the place now crawling. Its super cute when she chases her sister. Nothing exciting this weekend really - signed the big up for swimming lessons and went to a trampoline park to burn energy. Today is normal cleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry. Sickness is finally out of the house 🤗
Now to go back and read everything i missed.

Well I bit the bullet and signed up for weight watchers. I’ve never used them before but I know people who have had great success with it. I’m tired of not fitting in my clothes and I just have no real time to exercise. I need to do something. I’m just not happy with the way I am.

What helped me was what my boss, who is incredibly athletic, etc., told me: took 9 months to create the baby and it will take at least a year to feel more like yourself, given post partum recovery, etc. She told me to be kind to myself. I share in case it makes you feel better.

I find cooking somewhat relaxing (obviously less relaxing with kids, but still) so I cook during the week, usually at least 3, if not 4 or all, of the days. But I make things that are quick, or that I can prep during my kid free time on my early work days. Like I made meatloaf and roasted Brussels sprouts one day last week, but put it together before picking up the kids and just had to pop it in the oven when we got home. But I know most people don't have that advantage!
Good quick meals: one pot burrito bowls, sheet pan dinners, grilled dinners
