They are!! Costco’s are out already, along with the candy, chocolates and small pay doh’s for giving out.
Party City has everything available online and they’re about half way putting theor stuff out, of course the Star Wars stuff wasn’t out yet, because of course it isn’t.

Hey Ladies, I am packing up to go stay with my mom and the kids in the city. I chickened out of the Cubs game, so H is taking one of his hockey buddies and my son and his friend. I am bummed to miss it, but I don't think I would have enjoyed it thoroughly if I was worrying about Bea the whole time. My mom leaves again for Spain in a week, so it will be good to spend some time with her and order in from my fav noodle place 😁

Hi hi. N woke up with a fever so we had to cancel on an old daycare playdate, of course j had gone out and bought a little orchid for the host, which I guess is for us now.

We then opted to skip the baseball game and went to the county Fair, we were quite efficient and then got an open house in a more affordable town that we both like, but MH is hung up on school rankings..yes I want the best for my kids, but I am not going to give up basically everything on our wish list for them and then be house poor for the "best" schools.

Guess I better get ahead on work tonight, since I will be home tomorrow..

Pete bought Dude an Ironman costume and he's been living in that the last three days.

We went to grandpa's this morning and then I took Atticus to Incredibles. He only made is about 25 minutes this time but that's the best we've done so far.

I'm so annoyed how Pete conks out the second the babies are asleep and never thinks to pick up or do dishes during that time.
Then I came home and took Poppy to the grocery store. When I get back he's asleep on the couch again while the living room looks like a tornado hit it and then he's fussy with the boys for making a mess.

Well they can't raise themselves, husband. Maybe try to maintain consciousness while you're "watching"
them.

We have a date tonight. Pfft. I don't care.

tallb I was talking to someone from DC about areas with good schools. She told me you basically pay for good schools one way or another. Stay in an affordable neighborhood and have to pay for school, or you are house poor, but have the best schools. So unfair.

cagoldi I am Pete today. My house is a wreck but as soon as M2 is out for his nap, I will probably zone out instead of cleaning up because I’ve been in the house with them all day and just want time to myself.

Ok I probably will put dinner on, but that’s it.

vino, C just told me he wants to be a dinosaur for Halloween, so of course L said she does too! I promptly ordered some really cute one piece sweatshirt material dino outfits I saw for A and my baby nieces. Figure they'll be a cute photo op at the vary least.

I had to go into work for a work event. It's a big car show on the top of a parking deck. It was hot, but fun. Went out for drinks with work friends after! MH was super dad and took the 3 kids to all sorts of fun things.

Just got back from a bday party. It was at a splash pad and today has been pretty rainy, but the kids didn't care.
It makes me sad. These are the kids she has been with since she was 2 months old and now all but one is going off to kindergarten, and to all different schools. The ogs are being separated. 😭

We laid landscaping fabric under our deck (that is only 3ft off the ground so DH got the pleasure of crawling around under there) and then moved all the rock from the front flower bed back under the deck. It was a lot of hard work, and hot, but I’m glad it’s done. Now I need to borrow my MIL’s garden weasel to get the dirt broken up and then buy lots of plants for my front bed. And mulch.

Other than that we all took a nap this afternoon and then played outside until dinner. It was a nice, low key day.

Nope, I didn’t. The week before last was my last day so I’m actually done there now. But, I know their system so I kind of know when to go looking for deals. I’m mostly just waiting for sales at all of the nurseries around here.
