Morning!

We were going to go to the wildlife park today but it's raining, so we're hoping to go tomorrow. It's cooled off, though, and we have a fire in the fireplace so that's nice!

Somehow in the middle of the night, I stepped on the corner of the top of my MacBook and cracked the screen. Argh. Anyone ever had one replaced? It's not under any warranty or care plan and looks like Apple will charge me about $500 for it...considering the laptop is 6+ y.o., I really don't want to spend that much. Hoping maybe an independent repair place can do it cheaper.

flamingo never used them but I noticed Staples had a sign the other day that they repair cracked screens. Do they have Staples where you are?

I think there is one in the next town over! Maybe i'll check with them today. Thanks! Worst case I can have it fixed back home--we leave on Tuesday.

Morning! We had a fun evening with friends and the kids went wild in the pool. N was up late and is still sleeping. Dh is about to head golfing so not sure what we’ll do all morning. Maybe a walk or bike ride.

Kids are building a fort in the hotel room, I'm going to hop in the shower, then I'm hoping for a home goods trip solo this afternoon once I'm home.

Worth the money? No.

It was fun at the after party because I knew more people there. But it was not wise of me to switch to vodka then. Like, as I was ordering it I knew I shouldn’t be drinking it.

I can’t seem to find half sizes in boys shoes. Has anyone found s brand with those? C is in a 1 but they are starting to hurt. The 2s on his feet but they do t fit great. 1.5 would be ideal but I can’t find any

Maybe an extra insole? I did that with dd shoes 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Yesterday my brother told me all about his issues. He’s really not in a good place emotionally and I have a lot of concerns. We discussed a short term game plan that I hope he tries at least. Later we went out to dinner with my family and C was really good at the restaurant and we all had s good time. I’m emotionally hung over though.

We are at Ninja. After lunch Dh is brining C to the arcade so I can be alone for a bit and catch a nap. I’m so tired all the time these days. I have s followup with my Dr Wednesday to start looking in causes of the fatigue and fevers presuming my scan is clear later this month.

We also rearranged our bedroom last night and I knocked into a thousand things going to the bathroom in the dark. It looks good though.

That could work. Dh keeps joking about putting lifts in Cs shoes for Disney. He was one inch short for some of the ride a month ago but when we went to a fair recently? He was fine. I need to measure him to be certain since I booked fast passes.

Morning! Both girls were up late messing around in bed last night but then they both slept in till 8:30. We have no set plans for today so I think this morning DH and I will do some yard work and then maybe take the girls to the pool this afternoon.

Happy Sunday! My ILs just left a bit ago and now the boys are playing and DH and I are relaxing. Col has a birthday party in a couple hours but that's really about the extent of our plans.

I'm so mad at myself. I mean, thankfully it's not brand new or anything, but when I think of all the times it's been dropped/fallen off the couch or bed, or the kids have messed with it. PSA: Loft has all their pants and denim on sale this weekend, lots of cute things for fall for around $40/pair! I think I'm going to order some, despite the fact that fall is still a distant dream where we live

Cadence has named her bitty baby "Jesus", pronounced like the son of God, not random Hispanic dude.
And it's a girl.

I'm sure next week her name will be Rainbow or something, but it's a little weird when you randomly hear "let me change your diaper Jesus", "where's Jesus, it's time for her to eat"

House is clean, laundry is going and now we’re heading out now to Party city to find Hallowe’en Costumes, on August 12th. 😐

wedding Payless has half sizes. They carry the Champion brand tennis shoes which is pretty decent for a cheaper pair of shoes. I hate to spend so much on tennis shoes when their feet are growing so fast right now.

We’re home!!! Well two hours ago, but my parents where waiting at our house, they cleaned, filled our fridge and entertained the kids so that we could put away most of the vacation mess and put the kids to bed, amazing!!! The doorbell just rang for the pizza delivery and there’s cold wine in the fridge.

That’s like my dream for returning from a trip.
