Today should be a slow day at work so I think I'm going to post some more stuff to Facebook to try to get it out of my house... Today and tomorrow I have another potential $100 coming my way if the people who say they are coming for my stuff actually show up. Fingers crossed!

Praise all the things that it is Thursday. DH doesn’t work on Thursdays so after three days of all four kids completely on my own I’m so relieved to have a little help! The big girls have been begging to go to the public pool because it has water slides. Not sure how it’ll go but I think we’re going to try it. The three oldest were all up by 6am 🙄😩 so it’ll be early bedtime tonight!

aprilz81 GL! ajetter enjoy the extra help! Slow day at work for me. Tomorrow I WFH and my moms going to watch the girls since our sitter is on vacation. Which means I’ll be cleaning up the house after bedtime.

Hi! I’m basically a zombie. I barely slept all Night. My insomnia is soooo bad. I went to bed early but that meant I was awake at 12:45. After that I didn’t fall asleep until 3:30 and that was only for 10 minutes. After that I dozed until 5:15. At that point I got 45 minutes of sleep until 6 when my alarm went off. I just want to nap.
G is playing. I just gave the baby a bottle. He only napped 20 minutes so I am sure he is going to take another nap before lunch.

We're trying to figure out life. My new job training is 9-5 but for a while I'll need to still do my regular job. And pump 3x a day. So.... This will be interesting to try to manage.

Taking a few min to rest and catch up. My mom has DS so it is just me and baby. I'm wearing myself out cleaning, we are having DS's 3rd b-day party this Saturday. It's looking like it might storm so not sure if we'll be mostly inside or outside so yay, we will clean it all. I did borrow a steam mop from a friend and man, I love that thing. I'm putting it on my wish list to look out for on sale so I can get one of my own. It's hot as hell here (well not terribly hot maybe 90 but also so so humid) so I'm procrastinating cleaning off the patio. I should do it now though while V is sleeping.
I had a moment this afternoon too, when I was nursing V before taking her upstairs for her nap and she had been fussing a bit but then totally relaxed in my arm as she started nursing....there is nothing like that feeling that you can give your baby exactly what she needs. Feeling sentimental this week I guess, V was 6 months this past Monday and DS's 3rd bday is this coming Monday.

easternshoregirl, I have a Shark steam mop downstairs (bought Black Friday a few years ago for about $25) and an OCedar (bought from Amazon) upstairs. I like both of them but the OCedar one has a pointy head to get into corners better.

easternshoregirl, we have a Shark too that we got on Amazon that was refurbished. Looked brand new when we got it and we've had no issues with it. And it was like 1/2 the cost of new.

Good afternoon! Quiet week in the bot house. H got his V on Tuesday morning (which I was a little emotional over before he left, but I’m coming back around again) so he’s been laying low and luckily the kids mostly laying low with him so I’ve been taking advantage of the quiet time and getting the house and camper cleaned up a bit. Prepping the tent trailer to sell, and our new one to park for the winter. And working on the house just for my own sanity, and also because all 3 kids are getting baptized on Sunday so we have some family coming over for lunch after! We’ve got a super hot few days ahead so getting some work done inside our air conditioned house is definitely good timing! GL to you aprilz81! I just successfully sold a couple more baby items myself this week too so feels good getting that space back. Glad you have an extra set of hands today ajetter! Sorry for the rough night marygracerich

tiffrobot we listed our pop up camper this morning. I was nervous it's too late in the season but someone already wants to look at it. I'm hoping we get it sold quick because I don't need to store 2of them over winter.

At like 5mo is when babies realize that you walk away from them right? Liv has been freaking out the last couple weeks when I walk away from her. Object permanence is about to set in right? Is that the next leap after 5?

The baby has had some interesting developments today. He is just about to the point where he can move both his hands and his feet to crawl. He definitely gets where he wants to go already but not in a formal crawling position. He just about did it today.
He is also at a point where he goes from all fours to pushing himself onto his butt into a sitting position. It’s freakin cute. He gets about 85% there.

We also just bought a (used) truck so we have our car for sale, and will be listing the tent trailer soon so we currently have 5 vehicles taking up space lol, it’s a little ridiculous.

Just yesterday and today we’ve seen her go from laying on her stomach up to sitting..not crawling yet but every day she seems to find one more movement that gets her closer to that step eek.

Are any other babies not fully sitting yet? DS is great at rolling both ways but can only sit for a few seconds if not supported or propped up. He's almost 6 months. He can almost crawl but doesn't seem to want to sit yet!

sunfrogger, I think the wonder weeks app said 29 weeks is when it is at its peak. V was born 2/6 and she's had a heightened awareness of me leaving for a week or two now. pinkcat, V has been sitting comfortably for awhile but most moms that see her are very surprised. My friend's baby that was born 12/12/17 does not sit well still.

He has only done it a few times and I think they were all flukes.

He can almost crawl but doesn't seem to want to sit yet! Little man can sit for a long time if I place him in the sitting position. He can only pull himself into a sitting position from his back on a soft surface. He will also only stay sitting up if there is not something far away that he wants. If there is he goes diving for it and will hit his face or head on my hardwood floors.

pinkcat before 6 months Arden could maybe sit for a few seconds. She’ll be 7 months on Sunday and just in the last few days has really gotten the hang of it. I still don’t trust her enough to leave her unattended.

She is 7 1/2 months.

yellow711 sarahh ajetter marygracerich Thank you!! Good to know...I was worried because some things you read online make it sound like they should be good at that at 6 months. I will just keep reminding myself that all babies do things at their own pace

Both normal. G sat independently at 7mo but didn’t crawl until almost 9m. My cousins DD is 3m older than G and didn’t get her first tooth until 13mo. G had 6 teeth at 6mo. Ian has 2. All normal. The variation is soooo huge in babies this young.

My new position puts me into the business at my Fortune 500 financial services company doing client facing support work on the Operations side of the house. Owning relationships from end to end. Building relationships with sales and clients. Etc. I'm really excited. I've been an EA for 5 years and it was never intended to be a career track.

It’s impossible not to compare, but don’t get caught up in it.
