I typed this once, but our power went out at work as a bad storm rolled through. Everything recovered well without issue, surprisingly.
I got M off the waitlist for soccer when they sent me an email yesterday afternoon. Glad that is checked off my list. Back to school night was good, too. I think M will love his teachers. I can tell hey are passionate about the kids and teaching. It sounds like they will be doing A LOT more than what they were in K3, so hearing about what they did day to day should be fun.
We have National Night Out at our community pool later so I’ll take the kids for a bit before we have to head home and get ready for bed. First day of school for M tomorrow.

Sounds like she was the one who was having a hard time with good behavior. joelies Vent away, money stuff is complicated. He’s 85 and it’s difficult for him to get around since he wasn’t doing PT while he was doing his cancer treatment. |

Yeah BBM probably isn’t happening today either. I want to cancel dinner at my parents because I don’t feel great but that will open up a week of “are you ok” follow ups. I’m pretty sure I just have Cs cold with a side of stomach upset.

Question; dd is 26mo. On the way here (8 hour drive) she threw up 4 times. My gut is telling me that it has something to do with her being rear facing, since Ds had similar problems at some point. Would you ff her for the trip back?

nam2013 Yes, I'd probably give FF a try. I know y'all don't drive much normally so if it can help you survive a car trip w/o puke, I think it's worth a shot. Plus she's over 2 so you've made it past the proverbial 'magic number' . We turned B to FF when he was about that age (although in our case, it was b/c he was huge and reached the height limits). Yay for a date/time for closing inthekitty !

vino how was your festival the other day? It sounded amazing. What did you eat? It was good! The city has had it for years and I've been too many times to count. So I really left it up to B how long we went for, where we went etc. I gave him a map and away we went. We did maybe 1/3 of the whole festival but saw some great dancing, and clothing, toys etc that places were selling. We didnt eat that much cause he isnt much of an adventurous eater but in the past I've pretty much tried everything. The menu for all the countries is about 7 pages long! Hola. Hot as heck here. My dad is actually contemplating purchasing a whole house AC; we have bedroom window units and most summers that is fine for any really warm days we get. This summer is unusual in that we've had such a long stretch of hot weather.
B and Dad are out golfing, I'm wrapping a gift, and C is watching Mickey. I should probably throw her (not literally) in the lake but I feel so lethargic, lol. Need to get motivated.

OMG this day... I'm actually kicking butt on day 2 of my manager/coworker being out of the office. I can't wait to verify decisions with him so I'm way more productive and decisive. It's honestly kinda nice, aside from the part where I've barely breathed all day!

Hi guys! I kind of had a busy day. This morning MIL picked up the girls and took them to a dinosaur hunt put on by the city’s parks and rec dept. While they were gone I ran a few errands. When we got home H had quiet time and I put S down for a nap and ended up falling asleep too. Then I did some work outside, showered and am now at work.

vino I’m laughing so hard at that menu, it’s actually Dutch! I mean often at these type of things you see stuff at which you think ‘okay this is Dutch, but we never eat stuff like this’. Most of these things are things we eat quite often. The kids had poffertjes (yes, I brought some with me 🙄) last night, to funny! You didn’t miss out on the beer, regular grolsch is meh, but a non alcoholic one... yuck!

Both kids are asleep and I am finally cooling off...I think a storm is coming in.
So the last two nights when I've put C to bed, she has immediately climbed out of her PNP, gotten onto one of the twin beds, and promptly fallen asleep. I guess I'm glad she's comfortable in a bed, but I don't know what this means for the crib back home--I'm hoping since it's bigger and more comfortable she'll be happy to stay put for awhile longer (<--pipe dream?)

And drinking the occasional beer when A was a bit older (slowly, of course) I eat the cookies in the afternoon and mix this in the morning (usually)  |

My child has started using the word "duh" and she insists she invented it.
I find the use of it more annoying than her whining.
I told her it makes her sound not smart(I didn't want to say dumb or stupid) and to stop using it.
