Wake up Eat Nap (2 hours after wake up) Wake Eat Nap (2 hours after wake up) Wake Eat Solids Short Nap (2 hours after wake up) Wake Eat Eat Bed (2-2.5 hours after wake up) Eat (MOTN)
Baby is almost 7 Months. She’s working on dropping that last nap, but I can’t lose any feedings. Trying to figure out what to do.

Our first nap comes about 1.5 to 2 hours after her wake up. Unfortunately when she wakes up at 530, she doesn't nap until about 8/815 just because of getting her to daycare.
She eats about 3 hours apart, I try to sneak in an extra feeding when I can. We still aren't on solids yet though.
Is it bad that I have 0 idea what her schedule is, still? We just do a lot of going with the flow... I track her wake times though. Like if she's' been up for 2.5-3hrs I make sure she goes down for a nap somehow.

J wakes up between 545A/645A Bottle after he wakes up
He has his first nap between 815A/915A
From there, there isn't a set schedule until bedtime. He gets his last bottle between 7P/8P
Side note - he does get purees around breakfast, lunch, dinner (no set times)

Wake around 4 a.m., pulled in bed with us until approx Bottle somewhere in that time Off to daycare Breakfast Nap (9-?) Veggie lunch Home from daycare Nap soon after (130-?) Puree supper at 530 ish Snacks on whatever we are having (our supper time varies) Sometimes a 8 pm snooze (20 minutes on the dot) Bed around 9-930 if snooze happened
Those are just average really. I'm pretty laid back and follow his cues

We are on the 2-3-4 schedule and it’s glorious. She kind of naturally did it herself which was fantastic. Wake up- 6ish First nap- 2 hrs after that, usually from 8-9:30 2nd nap- 3 hrs after that, typically 12/1230-2/2:30 Bedtime- 630
I’ve played around with her bedtime some, and I’ve been finding that the later I push her, the more she’s up at night 🙄
Oh and eating, she typically nurses about every 2 hours but will only take 1 side at a time. And table food is still inconsistent. Sometimes it’ll be at lunch, other times it’s at dinner.

amesie DD1 did amazing on the 2-3-4 schedule, and I loved it. But none of the rest of them have been able to hang for 4 hours in the evening without completely losing their shit. Until they were older anyway. But it was so awesome! I do remember her always being in bed by 6:30. I know one night she was just done with life and went to bed at 5:45 and DH and I were confused as to what to do all evening with her asleep. Now with activities and such it’s near impossible to get baby to bed before 7.

Our DS is still definitely needs 3 naps a day- he actually usually has 4, but one of them is more a cat nap where he'll fall asleep on me for 20 minutes or so eating. We are on a pretty loose schedule and try to go with the flow, and base his naps on how long he has been awake vs. what time is on the clock. So, a typical day looks like the below but it varies depending on what we're doing that day and what time he wakes up.
- I wake him up at 5:30 or 6 to do a quick feed before I go to work, he goes back to sleep until 8:30 or 9:00. - After he wakes up, we let him play for 30 min or an hour...typically eats around 9:30. -Needs a nap about 1.5 hours after waking up...usually at 10 or 10:30 ish. Naps for around 1 hour in the crib. - Eats again at 12:30 ish. - Afternoon nap around 1:30 or 2...this nap varies from 30 min to 2 hours?! - Eats again around 3:30 or 4, depending on how long afternoon nap was usually takes a short nap around 4 or 5 - We get home from work at 6, bath time if needed, eats again around 6:30 ish -He has a bottle at 9 and falls asleep downstairs with DH, and then DH brings him up at 11ish and we do a dreamfeed and put him in the Snoo. He has been sleeping through until I wake him up to eat.

What I would like her schedule to be and what it usually is is very different, especially at day care where she is still doing a lot of 20-40 minute naps.
A typical day looks like this (6 1/2 months):
-Wake up 7:30 -5 oz bottle -Leave for daycare 8:00
Instructions for daycare are to put her down for a nap every 2ish hours (stretching it to 3 hasn't been working yet, she gets cranky about 1.5 hrs still). Most naps are in the 20-40 minute range, sometimes she will have a longer nap. She has another 5 oz bottle at 10:30, 5 oz at 1:30, plus some solids, 5 oz bottle at 4:30.
- Pick up from daycare 5:15ish -Nap at home around 5:45-6:00, this can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how she slept at daycare and if she is being held when she sleeps or not. If she is held or sleeping in our bed the naps tend to be on the longer end. - 5 oz bottle between 7:30-8:30 -Bath (every other night-ish) and bed between 8:00-9:00 -5 oz bottle sometime between midnight and 4:00am

Not gonna lie, I hardly pay attention lol!
Generally 6:30-7:30 wakeup
Random bfing and napping throughout the day
Has some food at 12ish with us for lunch And again 5:30-6ish for supper
Baths around 6/6:30
H reads the big two stories at 7:30 for bedtime around 8, so she either listens to a bit of stories or I take her downstairs for a big nighttime feed if she seems tired and grumpy
Still just dreamfeeding overnight.
H and I kind of have a somewhat unique situation with us both being home all summer with me as a SAHM and him as a vice principal (who works sporadically from home as the administrator for the online summer school during July/early August) so now that the big two are more grown up and past naps our days are random and she just goes with the flow.
Once everyone is back in school again in the fall I’m sure I’ll find more of a normal nap routine for her again as we work around preschool and kindergarten drop off and pick up this year! (Whaaa?! I still can’t believe I’ll have two kids regularly in the school this year!)
ETA she’ll be 7 months on Saturday!

We are loosely on a 2-3-4. More like 2.5-3-3.5. Most days naps are all at daycare though so I don't worry about them.

I love 2-3-4. My favorite is if/when they night sleep 7-7. 🤞
We seem very far from this but I know things can fall into place seemingly out of no where.

What is 2-3-4 and 7-7? #toolazytoGoogle 2 hours after they wake up in the morning, they go down for the 1st nap. 3 hours after they wake up from that one, they go down for the 2nd nap. 4hours after they wake up from that one, it’s bedtime ETA I think 7-7 is just when they go to bed at 7 and are up for the day at 7

My first operated on a pretty strict eating and sleeping schedule. This was her terms or she’d loose it.
My second is way more laid back. 🤷🏻♀️ She eats when she shows cues and seems hungry. sleep is the same way.
We do solids and a nap once in AM & PM. Times and amounts are varying.

We don’t have a schedule, it seems to change day to day.
Goes to bed between 8-9pm, typically up between 5:45-6:45. Other than that, everything else seems to change all the time. I’m just rolling with it. We told daycare we’d be fine for him to be on the schedule of the other kids (he’s the youngest at 6.5 months, most are over a year), but that hasn’t happened yet. 🤷♀️

I can’t do a 2-3-4 schedule with him yet because of G’s therapies. We leave the house at 8:25, he takes a quick cat nap in the car and then is up until we leave the place at 10. Then be sometimes falls back to sleep at 11 and then won’t fall asleep again until 1 but will only sleep until 2:30ish. Usually I can keep him up until bedtime at that point but it’s rough. If I let him take another nap he won’t fall asleep until like 4:30 and then bedtime is a mess.
After this week when her therapies are over for the summer, we will be able to hopefully extend his morning nap so he only takes one and I can put him on a 2-3-4 schedule. It worked so nicely for G when she went down to two naps a day.

We are loosely 2-3-4...depends on how early he starts his day. But about 75% of the time we can make the 4 hours from wakeup to bedtime. Sometimes he needs like 20-30 min catnap to get there haha.
Anywho...
Wakeup anywhere from 6-7am (nurses when he wakes up) Breakfast (solids) around 8 First nap about 2 hours later (8:30-9ish) and about 1-1.5 hours Nurses at 11 Afternoon nap usually around noon or 1pm and can go as late as 4pm Nurses at 3:30-4 (or whenever he wakes up) Short nap sometimes in here if he didn’t have a longer afternoon nap Dinner (solids) at 5 Bedtime routine starts at 7:00 (pajamas, nurse, rock & then bed)
He is usually in bed/falling asleep by 7:30. I like to have him asleep before I bring DD in to bed at 7:30 otherwise she distracts him lol.
He nurses 1-2x overnight. A good night he will go 7pm-3am-6am...on a bad night he goes like 7pm-12am-4am-7am haha.
ETA all these times are “ish” haha I mostly just track awake times and depending on when he wakes up in the morning all of these times would shift a little.

Honestly we have no schedule and it’s reallg bothering my type a personality. Like I feel like a sinking ship.
He’s up at about 5:30 each day, leaves for daycare at 7. I pick him up at 5ish, we get home and he pretty much screams all night until bedtime at 8.

I have never heard of the 2-3-4 schedule but it sounds like that is where we're at.
Wake around 6:30 First nap around 8:30 Wake around 10:30 Second nap around 1 Wake around 3 Bath and bedtime between 6:30 and 7 She usually wakes once or STTN
We feed on demand and haven't really been consistent with solids.

We will sleep train in the near future so he has a real bedtime. ajetter If you are only doing solids once a day, and you are hoping to reduce feedings, have you thought about adding more solid meals? DS is doing solids 2-3 times a day and he often falls asleep right afterwards.

snowyowl I’m supposed to add in solids, but not lose any nursing sessions. She’s barely hovering on the chart. This dropping a nap plus the crib transition all at once is really throwing me for a loop.

They change their habits so much over this first year, as soon as I established a routine with my first he’d switch things up. It’s exhausting but this time I’m trying to remember it has an end! I’m sure you know that much better than I.

snowyowl it’s so true. I’m holding onto the fact that if we can sort of figure this out, she’ll probably hold onto the same schedule for 4-5 months. Roughly anyway. I love babies but man they give my type A personality a hell of a challenge.

I'd say we are on a 2-2-4 schedule for the most part, but very loose. She was transitioning from 3 naps to 2 for a couple weeks and going to bed was kind of rough but now I feel like we're back to being OK. Nurse on demand. Try to incorporate solids 2x a day or so, but sometimes it is once and sometimes three times.
