Good morning everyone! We had such a nice weekend with DS. Mondays have never been fun but now that I have to leave him every Monday morning they are so much worse! I am always pretty sad on Monday mornings. My mom and I took him about an hour away on Saturday to an outdoor shopping mall, and he was soooo good the entire day. He just smiled at everyone and never fussed or cried, even though he wouldn't nap because there was so much to look at. I also got 7 hours of sleep two nights in a row, and a good run in yesterday, so overall it was a fantastic weekend

At work. I am so ready for a vacation. I've only taken 3 days off since I came back to work on March 1. I NEED a vacation. Luckily I only have this week and next week at work then a week off to see my family. Usually trips like that don't feel like a vacation at all so I hope this one is different!

Just waiting on baby to wake up so we can go meet friends at a park. It's very hot/humid here but the park is on the water, so it is always a little cooler there plus it is shady! She slept until 8:15 this morning so our schedule is a little off but it is no big deal.
I dodged a bullet yesterday, I felt a migraine coming on and got really dizzy while DH was out with DS. I was home with V but she was napping. I came back inside (I had been out doing some work in the yard and it was really hot yesterday too) and I threw up then laid down. I drank some coffee and took some Tylenol. Luckily DH got home and I was able to take a half hour nap and it went away. I feel like I'm lucky it went away so easily. I don't know what I would do if it happened on a weekday when I'm home alone with the kids. I guess I'd have to call DH to come home or call my mom.

School starts in a week so I’m trying to be a cool mom and embrace the last week of summer. Lol. But first I said we’re spending today doing allll the chores. Then we can have fun.

Oh also, in case anyone cares, lol, we’re survive the crib transition. The actual going to sleep is brutal and there have been tears, but she’s been asleep in 30 min or less and has pretty much slept her regular sleep schedule. I was bracing for long nights of wake ups but so far so good. I feel like since she figured out the rolling business at least now she can get herself into comfortable positions.

It’s a long weekend here so still hanging at the lake. Just waiting for my cousin to leave with her family. I’ve come to realize I don’t like kids other than my own. 3 days of constant screaming and whining from someone else’s 16 month old is killing me. And when my 6 month old pretty much sleeps through the night but their 3yo and 16 month old both wake up screaming at different times.... man I’m exhausted. I don’t think we’ll be doing this again. I hope everyone has a great week! ajetter it seems crazy that school is already starting again! I think everywhere is Canada it’s the week after labour day that it starts.

I feel horrible for saying this but I was happy to go to work this morning.
It was a very challenging weekend. DD was amazing but baby J was a challenge. I think he is in teething hell and is sleeping horrible at night, barely napping and constant crying.

I went and got my hair cut and colored today. Nothing too drastic, but it looks so much better! My stylist changed locations and I was hesitant to go to her new place because the prices are a little higher than the old place, but it was worth it. I also got a make over (much needed) and spent some serious money on new makeup. I've not changed my makeup look for a very long time, possibly 8-10 years... I bought a clay makeup stick, an eye shadow kit, contouring kit (I'm not sure how to even do it, tutorials will be necessary) and a sparkly liquid eye shadow that I really like. The clay makeup stick is amazing at hiding my large pores! What I bought today along with what I have will be a good start to helping my self confidence, once I master this stuff I may go back and get some other things. I only wear makeup 1-2 days a week so I had really gotten stuck in a rut.

I installed DD's convertible car seats in our cars this weekend. During drop-off this morning it really hit me how big she's getting. She woke-up at 4:15 and was fighting going back in her crib, so I brought her back to bed. She was so snuggly, I struggled to get up when my alarm went off. She wants to be on the move so badly that I only get good baby snuggles when she's sleeping.

Faith is average weight but a little above average in length. Even with her average weight it is getting annoying to carry that bucket seat around.

H rolled his eyes at me like I was anxious for her to grow up or something, but the reality is that I was doing 90% of the carrying.

Hi! I toured a school for G this morning. Then I stopped at another place to get info on a new location opening. I have to decide where I am placing her soon. Right now I am giving the baby a bottle. We are hanging out at home this afternoon. I’m pretty bored but I can’t take the baby out in the heat and all of the indoor places are either closed or are difficult when you have two littles by yourself.

easternshoregirl, so glad you dodged a bullet on the migraine. I also get migraines here and they are rough. I am thankful my H is usually home with me when we are home and that they usually strike mid-afternoon. Hi! I was SO busy today at work. I am running a program at work for Appreciation Day despite moving on to my new role so I was doing a lot of prep work for that. I am running committees this year for it so it is a chance for me to stretch some leadership skills which I am in sore need of. Then I was doing a corporate communication on some changes with a project currently in the works for my old area. I love corporate communications and find it so fun and exciting. I like to write so maybe that's why. The girls are both asleep and I wanted to bake banana coffee cake but I am tired so I am going to go to bed. I am working from home tomorrow and I am really looking forward to watching Harry Potter all day. I am going to go get groceries on my lunch because my fridge is EMPTY.

I'm in grading hell this week so if you see me posting during the daytime tell me to get working! Final grades for one university are due Wednesday and I took on an additional class midterm at the other. I love the idea of more $$ and looking good to the Dean but the workload, yikes.

Which products do you like through Beautycounter? I have an ex co-worker that just started selling it. I'm already buying the Nerium facecare system and Monat hair care from two friends so what's another thing to buy haha. The Nerium has really helped my skin so I'm just wearing powder to work instead of foundation so I think I'm mostly interested in that if they have any. Or any other products that you recommend.

I am getting the Flawless in Five makeup kit to streamline my morning but the look is so polished. Their dew skin moisturizing lotion might be good for you, it is super light but gives a bit of color. (I know you said powder, but I don't think they have one? Maybe, I'm not certain!) It includes brow pencil, blush, tint skin (foundation), lip gloss, concealer and something else...oh, mascara. I also got the eyeliner and another lip color. Plus the peel and a night cream and day moisturizer and a highlighting powder. I already use charcoal for cleansing which I like and a lot of people rave over their charcoal bar. I joined their "frequent shopper" program so I earned a bunch of credits too and I'm already trying to figure out what I want next! I really don't buy makeup frequently so I feel OK putting down this money on stuff I know I'll get use out of. I had a party and a bunch of people bought stuff so I did get some free things and 1/2 off items too.

easternshoregirl the Beautycounter sale is so good!!! I never stuck with any sort of skin care refining before I started with them. The tiny skin foundation is my fave. Along with the concealer pen and the mattifying powder. Oops meant to tag sarahh

sarahh man my brain is not working. Love all the things that easternshoregirl got, and I agree, the dew skin is probably your best bet if you’re wanting something really light. It has spf in it. I personally like to put the mattifying powder over it. The powder is white, it doesn’t offer any coverage. It just... mattifies. 😂 Takes the shine away. You can use the concealer pen along with that too. I use the concealer pen to hide lack of sleep under my eyes. My other favorite product is the brightening oil. It’s given my skin some serious life. I usually put it on after I shower at night, and then use the nourishing night cream over it. I know you’re buying from someone, but if you have any other questions feel free to ask. I’m a consultant, and kind of geek out over the products. I was so skeptical before I purchased, but I really truly love almost everything I’ve gotten. The only downers for me have been the shampoo and conditioner.
