Happy weekend

We went to an open air medieval kind of museum, with fake jousting and a little tournament between two knights in horses. It was cute, and although ds was screaming that he didn’t want to go (‘I would never do that to my kids!’) he had so much fun and even apologised and told us that. Dh found some sam Adams Boston lager and was as happy a kid in a candy store. Friends, wine and tapas are on the menu for tonight.

dapostrophe first off kudos on the successful time away from bea. That's always the hardest. I agree with trtlcrzy let dh give her a bottle at bedtime the next few nights and see if she can get to sleep.

I'm going to be honest if it was E the answer would be no. At bedtime right now it's almost 3 hours on the breast. She drains both and just wants to comfort suck and won't take a pacifier or let me put her down.

chrisy01 I forgot to comment the other day, no judgment intended whatsoever, but if you want your little boy to come home, you have every right to do so. Of course he has fun with his grandparents, that’s what grandparents are for, but he will have fun with you, your H and his little baby sister too, you’re his family:).

Hi. I have zero patience today so i put myself in timeout and am letting dh deal with lunch and nap time. Doesn’t help that he keeps commenting on how crabby i am. We’re fine after Our fight earlier this week, but not great. I wish for once he would just do a little something to make me feel better instead of pointing out my bad mood

Hopefully soon. They gave a goal of taking in 10oz before 4pm. We hit that goal just a bit ago and am waiting for the nurse to let us know.

I technically could, but there's nowhere to put her down. Plus it's a night game and these are kick ass seats, so it's going to be really loud 😁

She's doing a great 6+ hour stretch at bedtime, so I *think* she will be ok, but I don't know if she will when she's not at home. She will be in her own RnP, so maybe she'll be fine.

I realize I'm rambling. Thank you for bearing with me. I've never left one this little going more than 5-10 mins away, but she's a pretty easy going baby, so IDK.

Cadence and I were up late last night. She fell asleep in the car, but once we got back to the hotel she was out of sorts and whiny. Took her until midnight to go back to sleep.

We slept in a bit this morning only to be greeted by rain, so no beach for us this trip.

I'm supposed to meet up with my Aunt later today, so for now we are just relaxing at the hotel.

PSA: we went to Walmart and they had Calico Critters on clearance. We got a whole chipmunk family for just $7.

dapostrophe I think it’s more about your mom than the baby. Is she good with dealing with an unhappy baby if it comes to that? My mom had to stay overnight with C at 6 weeks when I ended up in the hospital. He was EBF and she had to bottle feed him formula. It was rough. My sister is far better at dealing with that stuff.

Oh my gosh, during the summer we eat corn on the cob 2 or 3 times a WEEK! Lol. B loves it, I get 2 ears for him.

We took the kids to a neat little park this afternoon, it had a playground and was on a stream with a sandy area for wading (which we didn’t know about). Next time we’ll take swimsuits or at least a towel bc C wanted to swim and ended up riding home in a dry diaper, hair bow and nothing else 😂

Not sure if I checked in since my parents came. We were at the park for ages - lots of playground time, we took a walk, watched some softball and rode bikes. Colin did great! He fell twice and got right back up to ride. I am so proud of him. He really struggles with not being instantly good at things, so this was a big win.

ETA: it was about 90 degrees and 100% humidity so everyone napped well!

@ladeedah top of budget and can afford in theory... regardless my SM said it was a cottage that would be comfortable for a week on vacation, if there was a beach outside 😂. We then tried another open house but the AC was broken so they didn't open it, or update the listing. But my SM loved that one from what we could see through the windows. That one is a big stretch though. My agent is out of town til Wednesday, but then we will go see it.

Bath time was pretty awesome tonight. E sang songs he made up and just had a great time relaxing. It was peaceful for me to listen to and get some down time. Otherwise he was so whiny today!

My parents found a hell of a deal on our airline tickets for Mexico and were able to get all of then with their sky miles. Saves us $3,600. 😮 my grandma is going now too.
